How did I miss this thread!
Hey buddy how’s it going?
There’s not been much happening they’re only just getting going
You’re in time for the interesting part
I think a good genetic can almost Always outperform a bad genetic with all the environmentals dialed. For sure
Hey how’s it going?
A little update, I stopped defoliating them the day i removed the tip shoots from the blsu 2-3 days ago.
Everything is going well, it’s near the end of week 3 now lol
22" tallest plant #3 blsu.
2-3 days back I increased the ec again to 2.2ec ph5.8 I’ll give it a few days and see how that goes?
Light intensity…I’m still using the same intensity 30/40k lux I’ve been using since installing the 300w bar light, imo they’re not ready for intense light.
That’s about it for now, take it easy folks!
I gotta ask, what is the piece of PVC hanging on that wire used for??? lol
I have some Blue Star plants finally beginning to grow. I have 2 Blue Star and two ISS x Blue Star fems going. The temps have been all over the place, cold to warm, and they have been a little slow getting started. I up potted the two ISS x BS yesterday and probably get the other two in new pots today. Very much looking forward to these.
Yours are looking great and I’m enjoying watching them atm. Best vibes! peace
Hey buddy thanks for the comment, i think the pvc on the wire is a piece of cardboard tube lol, it’s to guard the temperature probe from radiated heat of the light, it’s responsible for ambient temperatures.
Temperatures haven’t been great here, i can’t get ideal heat or humidity I’ve got to trade one for another it’s the pitfalls of a limited budget.
I’ve been pimping my environment controller for times like now.
I’ve added a cycle timer, there’s not really enough heat atm, i need more watts so it’ll be a few weeks before the temperature are acceptable, i don’t think they’re ready for more watts atm?
Do you keep a diary for your iss x bs?
I feel ya on the limited budget. And, the cold temps. I’m gonna start a thread here pretty quick to show these and my last summer’s stuff and some other stuff I’ll be playing with.
So much for not tying them over, i should just have shut up, less said easier mended
Looking at them earlier i thought hmm there’s a fair bit to gain here from leveling them out.
Using my best judgment I’ve estimated this should work about level or thereabouts?
Let’s see how it goes?
I’m still feeding 2.2ec I’ve noticed a increase in the volume of nutrients being used since stopping defoliating.
It’s the end of week 3 going on week 4 I’m still using 2.2ec and getting a run off 1.6ec, light intensity 40k lux across the canopy at 20" from the canopy.
Take it easy folks.
Hey folks, how time flies it’s wk #4 already.
The blsu that were tied over are doing just fine.
The amount of nutrients (2.2ec) being used by the blsu has increased significantly in the last 3-4 days (800ml last night and 400ml this morning) imo they’re looking better for it?
I’ve had a data logger in the tent for a couple of days…
Avg temp 20.16c
Max 25.79c
Min 16.20c
Humidity…
Ave 73.82%
Max 83.22%
Min 63.26%
I can work with it, once I get more watts going they’ll be fine, imo they’re not ready for more light it would just cause problems atm.
Take it easy!
It’s amazing how much those leaf serrations stick out in those pics. They look healthy as can be.
I’m pleased with my efforts for today, i tied 2 star dream over, i didn’t tie the 3rd (too short) but I did nip the tip shoot out.
I swapped the 135w for a 250w bar light, that’s a 250w + 300w circa 40k lux.
Characteristics… 3 blsu are fairly uniform,
#1 star dream is the tallest of 3 its ahead of its sisters with pre flowering, #3 is similar looking but more open, it’s not guilty of blocking light from itself, in general it’s a cracking plant
@GMan thank you bud I appreciate the comment.
Hey folks how’s it going?
I’ve a few updated pics taken this afternoon.
#1 and #2 star dream have been a bit off since I tied them and added the other light so today i raised the lights about 10"
I’ll give them a couple of days and see what happens?
The last nutrient i mixed up 2 days ago was 2.0ec/ph6.0 they’ve been fed twice a day to run off.
That’s about it, it’s mostly just waiting now lol.
Take it easy folks.
They are looking happy n healthy my friend.
I noticed a couple of blemishes today on #1 star dream
I could get by just fine without hassle, i hope it doesn’t get any worse, i think it’s light related but that’s only logic?
One of my grape juice cocktail has the same thing going on, a little worse. Mine is slow drinking, I usually give 6 cups per 1 gallon pot every other day. When I backed down to four cups, it started to go away. Even at that doesn’t dry down nearly like the others. Might be the blueberry.
Do you think it’s light related in your case?
I only ever need a+b I’ve used it for a long time without issue it’s unlikely I’m going to get problems now?
I don’t think it’s light, this is in my small tent only a 100 watt in there. Plus it’s a short Plant so others are taller and way closer to the light. When I decreased the water it fixed it but can’t say for sure that’s the issue. My next guess would be ph, check your runoff next watering and if the medium is still wet maybe give it some extra dry time. I wouldn’t worry too much about it though. Looks very minor.
Maybe @Josh_Blue can clue us in if that’s a common issue
Looks like the start of interveinal chlorosis. Maybe a little mg def. Maybe to cold or too wet or ph.
Idk, I’d expect if were environmental or magnesium it would show on the other plants it wouldn’t be limited to a couple of leafs, I’ll give them a few days and see what happens I’m sure they’ll be fine.
