Bodhi Dread Bread and Imperial Majesty; Lucky Dog Diesel Therapy; Doc D Purple Corinto Budder x A5Thai, Outer Limits and Sour Diesel x DE

That’s for sure. I said the same to Shoe “sorry I don’t have any of those social media things”. We will see if he responds, but if not I’ll wait. If I get some when released I’ll for shoot some your way, if you miss them somehow!

Nahhhh, it’s alright, dude. If you get them, keep them and grow them. I’ll do my best to try and grab a pack, but “my best” when it comes to shit like that is pretty much “very little” haha. Appreciate the offer, though.

One thing I forgot to mention about that IPM stuff, @zephyr, was that I also foliared with wood vinegar a few times in between those weekly essential oil/neem foliars during the last grow. I only just remembered that because I’m planning on doing that tonight for the first time with the current grow haha. I dunno how much it helped, but apparently it has some sorta pest resistant properties to it, along with a bunch of other benefits. I bought it on a whim from that dude I got the biochar from, didn’t know anything about it, but once I started researching it (after I bought it haha), it sounds like good stuff.

It’s basically a chelator, similar to fulvic/humic, but with a bunch of other beneficial aspects to it, too. Like increased pest/pathogen resistance.

I dunno. But I bought it, so I’m gonna use it haha. It didn’t seem to “hurt” the plants, anyway. Might be something worth looking into. It smells like worcestershire to me, my girl can’t stand the way it smells haha, but I don’t mind it.

That’s a new one! Off to research!

This is the wood vinegar I’m using: Seek - Bamboo Vinegar Liquid 300ml. - Blue Sky Biochar

Like I said earlier, I knew nothing about it when I got it, never heard of it, pretty much just bought it so I could finally go home after getting stuck for three or four hours with that biochar dude haha, but after reading, it does sound… I dunno. It’s something, anyway haha. Very stinky (not that that means anything). I keep it in my seed/alcohol fridge and every time I open the fridge, it fucking reeks like worcestershire, took me like six months to realize why the fuck it smelled like that in there haha.

The thing I like about it the most is that the manufacturer says to only hit the tops of the leaves and ignore the bottoms. Which means it takes me like a third of the time. And I like that haha.

Anyway, I’m gonna foliar the older plants with it tonight, we’ll see how they look in the morning. I always take my plants outside to do the foliars and it is fucking COLD here right now. Not looking forward to it at all haha…

Dude I know all about getting rolled up ina conversation like that, I’m sure it’s not unique to this area but everyone likes to joke that the old timers around here can spend more time bullshittin than they do anything else, old farmers and shit like that, you’ll see em loitering with cups of coffee at the gas station all the time, god help you if you say anything to em that gets em going, you’re like trapped for an hour before you even realize it. And I actually kinda like the smell of worcestershire so that doesn’t sound like the worst thing in the world, always looking for new add one to the IPM rotation to keep those soft body fuckers on their heels so hit back here if you feel like it made a difference

Yeah, I basically got the guy’s entire life story (which was, admittedly, pretty interesting). In the three or four hours I was out there, though, I bet I only spoke for a total of maybe seven minutes haha. Dude talked a LOT.

I actually didn’t foliar with the wood vinegar last night, got super-tired after dinner and went to bed at like 8:30. But I’m gonna do it later today (before dinner haha), we’ll see how everything looks tomorrow.

You should plant them. I’m definitely not done looking through those seeds, pretty sure there’s something real good in there. I just need to grow more than one female next time haha.

On the photography thing, you can get a lot of DSLRs and Four Thirds mirrorless cameras with built in automatic focus bracketing when you push the shutter button and in-camera focus stacking. I think it’s Panasonic and Olympus that do it the most.

Haha, yeah, maybe I’ll look into all that. I really don’t feel like researching camera shit anymore, pretty happy with the one I have now. I’ll use it until it breaks haha. Plus, I’m broke now, so…

I’m taking my girl out for dinner tomorrow night for her birthday and it’s gonna be SPENDY (I’m stoked about it, though; been a whiiiiiiile since we’ve been out for a really kick-ass, tasty, expensive-as-fuck dinner), kinda getting to that point where I’m like,”Alright, you’ve put this off as long as you can, you HAVE to start working again…” haha. Frivolous shit like a new camera just so I can take better weed pictures isn’t an option for the foreseeable future.

I’m also still doing ok with a 10+ year old SLR camera.

The stock lens is beat to shit so the autofocus died years ago, but the body is ok. I can still take good photos with it, but if I hand it to someone else, they usually can’t use the manual focus.

I can’t justify / afford a new lens or camera right now, but I’m happy enough with the photos I’m taking.

Yeah, I like your pics haha. I like mine, too. As long as they convey the basic idea of what my plants are doing, I’m fine with it. And honestly, I don’t care at all about close-up pics of crystal-y flowers and shit; I think I was really only considering getting something capable of taking macro shots a year or two ago because I was bored as shit and sick of quarantining and just looking for something to do haha.

All I really care about is seeing the overall structure of the plant, whole plant shots etc. Close-up shots of crystal-y flowers are pretty meaningless to me. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love those shots, but we’re all growing crystal-covered flowers… I just wanna see what the whole fucking plant looks like. I’m pretty sure my camera can still take those kind of pictures haha!

I feel you there, I wish I had a better camera but I just use my phone which is a pretty potato Android and just use my post-processing skills to fix them up real pretty. The photos out of newer phones and cameras are incredible though.

the weird thing about new phones is that the images you see are actually the result of automatic ai post processing. The sensors are high resolution, but without optics, they are still basically potato-cams. With new high end iphones and androids the detail gets added in by ai interpretation and post processing of the sensor data.

They don’t actually take still photos, instead they take a very short video and average the data into a single image. It’s not really a photograph in my opinion because it removes all elements of the artistry that goes into taking a photo. particularly timing which in my opinion is the core of photography as an art form. (this concept is called “the decisive moment”)

They even use ai to adjust eyelines if someone is blinking or looking away from the camera. They can even make it look like the subject is smiling. It’s fucking weird if you ask me.

So basically the output is not a photograph, but a rendered image based on sensor data.

I know, man, those pics taken with the new iPhones really do look very good. I have a big problem with using my phone for anything other than phone calls and texts, though haha. I don’t know what it is exactly, but I really fucking hate looking at phones/typing on phones/holding my phone (unless it’s for a phone call haha)/reaching into my pocket to grab my phone because I just got a text etc etc etc. I don’t even really text anymore, usually just call people. And whenever somebody texts me, I just call them and deal with whatever it is they’re texting me about. It takes like 1/20th of the time.

But yeah, those new iPhone pics do look good haha…

Not to mention, your phone is basically a direct conduit to every sorta “government spying agency” or whatever you wanna call them. The CIA, FBI, NSA etc etc etc, they all have access to your phone. I’m not trying to sound like a paranoid freak or whatever, I really couldn’t care less. Obviously. I post all of my grows online haha. I talk and text about drugs via my phone all the time. But something about the fact that they’re all monitoring my shit all the time really fucking bothers me. And I have to draw the line somewhere haha! “I will NOT use my phone to take weed pictures! I will NOT log on to OG via my phone!”

I really don’t ever use my phone for anything other than calls and texts, though, for real. I usually even just leave my phone at home whenever me and my girl go anywhere, too. I still value my privacy (he says as he drives around in a gawddamn Tesla haha…).

Local LEO, too.

Local police are so militarized that they have all the same access as FBI/ARMY

Purple Corinto x A5/Thai smoke report

Looks:

This was the one that foxtailed like crazy, in case you don’t remember or couldn’t tell from the pics haha.

Smell: I love the way this one smells, lots of stuff going on here. It’s like a spicy, floral, fruity (guava, maybe?) olfactory delight haha, kinda reminds me a little bit of Blue Dream, actually. Pretty complex, too. Every time I stick my nose in the jar, I pick up on different things. There’s even a sort of “paint” smell happening that I noticed for the first time a few days ago; not paint thinner, but the smell of like an opened can of paint, which I think might be a first for me. It’s not off-putting, though, at all. Smells really fucking good.

Taste: This is for sure a highlight. It tastes a lot like a strong hibiscus tea/agua de jamaica, that hibiscus drink they serve at taco joints. The smoke is relatively light and smooth, no coughing at all with this one, but it is for sure very tasty. Very “fruity/floral tea-like” haha.

Effect: This is some of the better weed I’ve grown in the last year or two. It is absolutely “daytime only” weed, though; not so much because it gets you moving or racing or anything as much as it’s just very clear-headed and alert. There’s for sure a good 20-30 minute initial rush which I feel coming on pretty much as soon as I put the bong down. I didn’t really love that at first, but I got used to it after a day or two and now it doesn’t bother me at all. After the rush, though, it settles in to a very functional high. It’s kind of one of those ones where I don’t even realize how high I am until I start interacting with other people, at which point I realize,“Oh, shit, I’m higher than I thought…” haha.

It’s not uncomfortable, though. It doesn’t make me self-conscious or anything. Like I said, it’s just extremely functional and pleasant. Not quite as relaxing as the Bandaid Haze I grew a while back, but it isn’t racy at all after the first half-hour. No munchies like the Bandaid Haze, either, which is great for me since I’m on a diet and working out again and shit haha. It also doesn’t ever start to feel draggy or lethargic, ever. It just kind of slowly wears off and leaves me feeling alert and refreshed. Great weed! I haven’t smoked this one any later than 7pm and I’m not going to, but it’s pretty amazing stuff to blaze any time before that, for sure.

We’re fostering a boxer until this Tuesday and again for three weeks starting December 26. Apparently, the people who are his “official” fosters or whatever like taking long-ass three-week vacations haha. Anyway, if anybody in the SoCal area wants a dog or knows somebody who wants a dog, he’s available. His name’s Rushmore (we didn’t name him haha), but I’m not sure he even knows that. I guess he was a stray that somebody found like nine months ago and took to the boxer rescue. He’s a little skinny, but we’re gonna have him looking good and healthy, get a little more weight on him, after we have him for those three weeks.

Right now, he seems a little like,“What’s going on? Where am I?” but he also seems very, very sweet. He’s definitely the most mellow and well-behaved dog we’ve ever had haha, doesn’t even pull on the leash or lunge when he sees other dogs on his walks. Never had a dog that didn’t freak out every time they saw another dog before. If my girl was ready to own a new dog, I’d insist that we adopt him, but she isn’t, so… If y’all know anybody…

Sounds like the boxers that live around me with that laid back personality. Never seen a white boxer before, cool looking dog! Calmer dogs with good leash manners seem to get adopted pretty quickly around here so hopefully he finds a quality home soon assuming you don’t end up convincing your girl. How old is he (approx)?
