Bodhi Guide - Seed and Strain Discussion (Part 1)

I have raised mounds that get amended with a few things each year at planting like kelp, fish bone meal, tomato tone… Also weekly waterings with Regalia really seem to help with resistance, but something tells me Old Soul is built for outside.

Am I reading that test right?
You sent them 47g as a sample?

I bet they only tested 7g and smoked the rest hahaa

Is that a normal amount to submit for a test?

There’s no testing here in UK, or at least very little and hardly ever used, so I’m not sure of the practice.

No, it is not.

Lol that’s what crossed my mind at first

Idk what a normal amount is for a test but I thought it’d be much less…

7 grams should be enough for all of those tests, but maybe they’re required to provide more so the lab can pull buds out of a larger sample?

47 grams still seems like a lot.

3.5 grams dry is what the labs in Colorado require.

If I were the company, I’d give the least amount required by law as to maintain most profit.

There is a difference between homegrown testing amounts and commercial testing amounts. 3.5 for me to test my homegrown is plenty. Commercial testing varies the amount depending on the batch size.

I’ve seen many companies running mothers milk in california (outdoor and indoor) including lowell farms, mendocino grasslands and now white label even. It is great to see non cookies strains getting 30-40% cannabinoids.

Not everyone, but a lot of people don’t seem to enjoy the high of Cookie strains in general, not even taking into account all of the other stuff that people dislike about the strain and its infiltration into all things cannabis the last number of years. But that goes to show, maybe more goes into it than just a high THC percentage?

It is not a hateful statement towards cookies strains. It is just a reflection of the market when most new strains that come out have cookies in them.

Yeah, super-high THC percentages mean nothing to me. It’s the most overrated, meaningless metric by which to judge weed.

I said cannabinoids, not THC.

But ElGalloBlanco did and that’s who I was responding to, so…
