I can agree a bit there. IDK about reduction in resin quality per se, but the way the genes combine when backcrossing imparts segregation into the line. I think Karma’s sour is just poor selection and/or original genetics, compared to something like @Tonygreen’s GG4 work or even BG’s original C99. Some of these backcrosses need fgen’d in order to go back to showing something similar to the original F1 line.

Oh come on… since 2010 we’ve seen him use a variety of males… Appalachia, Snowlotus, A11g, OMG, Purple Unicorn, Talk of Kabul, Double Purple Doja, Sunshine Daydream, Thai, Instant Karma, Goldstar, Yo Mama, Temple, Uzbekistan, Wookie, Strawberry Milk, etc… those are just what I can name off the top of my head. It’s not quite as bad as you’re saying lol.

I feel like “main-line” is a crucial qualifier… judging from his occasional IG posts he’s been working with fathers that probably wouldn’t qualify as main-line.

When I was first buying seeds and running the options by my partner, I described Bodhi’s work as “just taking every clone out there and crossing it with '88G13HP.” It’s not exactly his only male, but a disproportionate amount of his lines use it from what I’ve seen. Presumably that’s because it’s what people like the most; you don’t make all that much money by selling things people don’t want.

Most prefer 50/50 or Indica dom hybrids , which is exactly what Bodhi gives . He’s had some decent satties but has neutered them for the most part .

Me too. Others have used Lemon Thai, Chocolate Diesel, Mother’s Milk etc. for higher yielding sativa-dom males.
I’m not sure if there’s a male Temple, but that or a Sensi Star or Jack Herer male would be nice.
Something that’s different (less dominant) than Wookie 15.
Ps. I know that he won’t be working much w poly-hybrids, so a good landrace male is what we can hope for.
Look at Strayfox, Doc D and LED Seedz for heady sativa pairings, as they often use Bodhi genes.

Yeah those are two prime examples, I think they’re being treated more as Supernatural Selections then mainline Bodhi seeds. So far he hasn’t released crosses with a plethora of moms like he has with the G13HP.

semi-related, i thought the bodhi apollo genius line was supposed to be sativa-ish, but based on seedfinder its actually indica leaning? also, im growing pagoda (apollo genius f2 x apppy) in veg and they are very stumpy.

there’s been speculation somewhere around here what male he used in Zap… possibly a T.V. (vietnamese x thai) male, but also with the T.V. release there was the ‘thai destroyer ix’ male
anyone know what’s up with the oaxacan #9? is it the same as in zap? what it’s attributes are? is he using multiple oaxacan females? seems like Bodhi is always doin some secret mad scientist thing in the background

That’s very cool you’re doing Pagoda. I’ve drooled over pics of it for oh, 14+ years lol.
I grew (Subcool) Apollo 13 x Vortex (so 75% A13) and it also was very short at first. It branched out rather than growing much vertically.
The Apollos do have Northern Lights in them which i’ve seen can be bushy.
