Bodhi Guide - Seed and Strain Discussion (Part 2)

There was a pack of SSDD bundled with a pack of Dreadbread x SSDD that sold at auction for 260 in February. Personally I think auctions tend to be a little overpriced, because people get caught up in the competition aspect.

Feel free to ask what is wanted.

totally agree with you thereā€¦ I didnā€™t suggest that in my post but was trying to be diplomatic hehe

Also not to mention a lot of the auctions I saw had germination stipulations. Some of the sHn auctions had some germ issues and he had to buck out a bunch of stuff to please out his market.

Yeah true, I was definitely around for that and gypsies debacle, but times change and I would think you could at least start it small based in Cali or something and only allow within certain states if that is still necessary for seeds. It would allow time to test it before going big. I havenā€™t kept up with laws, but gees the grow store has even changed. Wouldnā€™t be surprised if they install McPlay places and fuckin food courts here soon in grow shops and thatā€™s even in places still illegal. I was just on the east coast in the south and WTFā€¦Florida has changed. That was the last state I thought would ever legalize. I grew there for most of my life what a nightmare that stress was considering the laws. Gonna grow back then might as well say fuck it to the 100 count lol, youā€™re screwed anyways.

Yes, itā€™s because the system is on BTC, and trust me when you send BTC itā€™s a done deal. They charge 99 a month for automated algorithms on the page, trouble is I didnā€™t see my listing at the front page, most time they 20-30 pages in the back. I got a good run at Xmas time last year, but after I paid 30 for basic for Jan and got nothing at all, I decided to wait a bit and then I had some Tampa Crippy BX2 put up in March and did get a few before I had to publicly tell Tampa Crippy XI is unstable. Turned full hermie after 3 generations of cuts, well Mr Sunshine doesnā€™t like not looking good when his shit stinks and he proceeded to have someone infiltrate me as a fake buyer, so any hater can come along, hit your buy button, you havenā€™t a clue if this person is a legitimate buyer or someone pretending to be BUT you have pay the BTC fee to open the msg to find out. I was incensed by the breach of security perpetrated by a member on the platform that I wanted to be deleted off. They banned me cause I tried to tell truth about the plant Iā€™ve used to make a far better version of it. Strainly protects its bigger cash cows. You can give it a try, but all the BTC fees SUCK and as said HAS NO security.

Why not a co- op to purchase a few packs at a time and reproduce them and then you get paid ,and you get f2s if successful. I donā€™t want any , so no dog in fight.

Hmmm, makes me feel I should just socialize on forums again. I donā€™t really care much about maximizing profit as much as I do dealing with reputable people with a proven history. Iā€™d also really like them to go to someone that is actually going to keep it around. I definitely bought every line for a reason. From the fruit loops phenos in Pura Vida and fruitty pebbles in Blueberry Mountain to the peach phenos in TTNL6 x Appy. I have a hard time really letting them go, but I just keep telling my self, ā€œbe fucking realisticā€ lol. I mean I would have to shelve my own work to dive back into these and I donā€™t feel I need to. I found exactly what I wanted in most. Goji cream sweet tart goji berry pheno was beautiful. Some wicked phenos in SSDD x Chem D and yields beastly, same with Dream Lotus. The orange tangerine playdough pheno in Love Triangle deserves an S1. I donā€™t know I hate we are all seed addicts. I feel my hands shaking at the loss of them. Turning into Golum.

I didnā€™t see the list.

Speaking of auctionsā€¦ Looks like a pack of mountain temple is coming to DC 4/20 for an auction. Someone was just on here trying to trade a pack of that.

Thatā€™s pretty spot on tbh lol, definitely mellow and not too potent but definitely does the job, definitely super tasty, especially out of a vape

As I get older, those are the kinds of strains I want to grow. Maybe Iā€™m in the minority but I want something nice that isnā€™t 38% THC or what ever the heck some new strains are testing at these days :joy:

Apologies to everyone for going off topic, but can private individuals re-sell bottles of liquor in Canada? It isnā€™t legal in the US (Iā€™m sure it happens, but through forums/groups/etc).

I have a bit of a backlog (I donā€™t really drink) of bottles of bourbon and with a few of them I looked them up when trying to find a bottle for every day use or mixing or whatnotā€¦ the bourbon bubble is nuts. They were very nice bottles when I received them, but basically unopenable a few years later.

Can I just resell them and use the money for something else? Not on the up-and-up.

Dangit, you can get a preview? I sit around waiting till Friday evening to see whatā€™s on offer (like a chump). Iā€™m not really buying, but I enjoy watching the spectacle.

I thought someone was doing a MT F2 project? FWIW I have a pack of that as well, was thinking about F2ing this summer but it seemed like someone else already had that in the works so I figured Iā€™d wait on that.

not sure @yardgrazer . I was a member of a cigar/spirits club when I lived down near Vancouver. Every 3 months we would get lists of bottles going up for auction from private collections and the ability to list our own. Listing and auction fees applied. Never sold a bottle but I have bought a couple cases of bacardi rums I really liked that were out of circulation but not really high value. I remember one auction was held at a private high end residence in north vancouver. The old guy was a pipe and cigar collector with a huge collection of humidors and high end cigars. The wine and liqour room was ridiculous thoughā€¦ pretty sure they shoot movies in ā€œwine cellarsā€ like that one LOL Been a while since I stopped renewing my membership but you could google liquor auctions in canada and see if such clubs still exist.

Iā€™ve actually got some stuff from pre prohibition armagnacs and when I tried to put them up it was ridiculous what laws seem to be. So over regulated itā€™s pathetic. I went to rich whiskey/bourbon sampling clubs in places like LA and emailed them. That is your best in my opinion. They will all pitch in and buy a bottle. Mine are worth a few grand a piece and I got a few offers that way. Just make sure you research shipping very wellā€¦and all those laws
