Buddertons Tomfoolery

Sounds like a lovely spot PJ!
Do you put them into the native soil or keep them in containers once they go outside?

Containers amigo.

Mostly for security…I would dearly love to grow natural…in the soil.

I grew tomatoes here…in the garden …terrible crop…apparently there is a type of Nematode ( worm) in parts of the soil that attacked them…No risk in containers…mix of coco coir Tiera negra and some perlite…seems to work.

Edit . Good choice of soils in grow shops here as well.

Right on PJ, best of luck with them! The Labs i have in flower are delivering some crazy smells. I’ve been tracking one and "delicatessen " pops up in my mind every time. Like fresh sliced meat and fresh baked loafs. It’ll probably change by the end but it’s a new one for me!

Update on @SWIM_Yenobi s inbred Sour D continuation project:
Pics taken during bi-daily herm inspection, of which ive only run into one from the Piffcoast phenos and its pushing daisy’s now.
The rest of the females are cruising along, clear and clean and nearing pollination time. They all look very similar, tall and open. These two show the biggest difference in height. Right: Sour D Bx x mix of Sour D Bx & Sowahh pollen
Left: Sowahh x mix of Sour D & Sowahh pollen

I was mistaken when i though i had phenotypes of Sour D Bx/Sowahh that are short and squat. They are all pretty much the same in structure so far.

It was Sour Taxi (@Emeraldgreen ) that comes in two distinct pheno clusters, the most common being short and tight.

Anyhow, if all goes well the females will be receiving pollen that has been collected and mixed together from a male Sour D Bx x mix of Sour D Bx & Sowahh and a male Sowahh x mix of Sour D & Sowahh. I’m gonna mix the resulting seed from the Sour D bx/Sowahh together, call the next generation Swour (Swims Sour , if you have no objections @SWIM_Yenobi ), and stop making any distinctions.

The heirlooms over modern polys are turning out nice. I like how many trichs they are making early on and the developing terpene profiles are rich and different. Definitely inspired to make more selections like these. This one is Columbian Gold (freakers) x Cobra Lips f1 (Bodhi) aka Lumbo Lips.

And things are looking up in the re-veg spot. Top 2 phenos (according to my chief tester, Mrs Budders) of TK S1s out of 3 packs from CSI.

I’m glad they came back because I’d never hear the end of it.

And still patiently waiting on these, an f3 line i call The Don.

That’s a beautiful job you done there…on that X

Can I ask how long did they flower for…x cobra lips.

I done the C G and it was a long time flowerer…The Cobra must have reduced that.

Ye nice plant

Thanks PJ! This is my first time growing them. I think they are in the 8th or so wk of 13/11 and I’d wager they’re about half way done so they should be significantly faster than the CG mom which runs 24 wks or so. Time will tell, no rush on these.

Hahah you can call it whatever bud. You will have put more actual work into the line than me by the end of this stage I’d say, I just opened and culled. The Piffcoast is unfortunate but not unexpected. From the 04’ descriptions I found of the ECSD given to Rez from Chemdog, Smokey described a Menthol/Vick Profile I found most prevalent in the Piffcoast but they did display intersex. I would keep an eye on the “late flowering” stage for nanners. I did only pull seeds from the stable expressions and culled those with intersex but likely would take several generations to stabilize.
Amazing as always.

Thanks @SWIM_Yenobi .
I plan on putting a little Sour D Bx/Sowahh on the Piffcoast,if they stay sexually dependable, but I’ll keep seed from those plants as a separate thing.
A parallel line perhaps.
