Something that new folks don’t know about topping:
If you check Tappy’s pictures you can see that a substantial nub left where the plant is topped.
This is structurally important, as it lessens the chance of the branches splitting when they put on weight later.
It is also good practice because there is less of a chance you’ll damage the new starting branches.
I usually wait until node 7to top and take it down to 5 depending on the overall health of the plant.
Best of fortunes!

For example…will cut the new side shoot (blue line) and not cut the leave (orange).

.

But when they get older and ready to flower, take it to the extreme…leave the fan leaves, but cut all side branches and just leave the tip and 4 or 5 (some people do 3) nodes below.

Firstly would like to thank everyone who has helped me with some really good knowledge, advice and / or constructive critisism… I didnt expect my first ever plant to be looking as healthy and wonderful as it is today!

Only 3 weeks… yes i know! Its far from done but i’m feeling confident that i can see this through and craft it to be a beautiful success!

Not necessary if you’re starting with good soil.
Water and kitchenscraps will keep it going for as long as you want. :+1:

Welcome and thank you for growing!

Thank you. this is COCO / COIR and PERLITE only… so its been conditioned before potting… keeping it regularly watered every 24 hours seems to be doing me good so far!

Don’t forget clones. You’ll need the extra for extracts. Welcome to a wonderful hobby

Great looking plant and picture.

Do not forget to research the dry and cure process. I believe that is where most first time growers run into trouble.
