Budmeisters Grow Box Diaries

Rarely ever flush my coco unless I notice a build up on the surface or a slight lockout. But I run with hydrogen peroxide 33% of my feedings so it tends to never need it.

You only need some runoff if you feel the need to measure the EC for an idea of how much nutrients they are using. After a while you can usually go by how the plants are growing.
Measuring runoff pH is pointless as you won’t get an accurate result. You can if you do a slurry test but it involves removing some medium which isn’t always advisable or possible.

I’m among those who found they get better results from straight Coco, there’s no need to mix the stuff with anything. Good luck with whatever approach you take but bad advise is more common than good in this game so check out people’s grows and how successful they actually are

defiantly taking this all in thanks again for the info, after all they are only plants we as humans should be able to judge them with a keen eye! I defiantly get what your saying and i’m sure that I will ‘‘become one’’ with the grow as i venture on to my next grows… as you can appreciate this is my first EVER plant…

thanks again

Flushing for X # of days, darkness before harvest is bro science from the 1990s. Ignore that shit and keep your plants healthy to harvest. No flushing needed.

Ive been trying out what I call a weekly flush but its not really a flush. I have drip lines set up and water about 5 times a day at peak growth for 5 minutes each watering(1 1/8" drip stake per half gallon pot of coco). Once a week though I’ll hand water all of them and add some gypsum to the mix and give them a good drench just to prevent any possible build up and to soak the whole medium incase 1 drip stake isnt doing the trick.

Sounds interesting… the beauty of growing is trying out different methods & techniques…
I’ve had so much amazing info from everyone here that will guide me from start to finish. Its great to know that someone is always there to answer a Q i may have.

Thanks for sharing your methods!

I will ask again dude did your dog die? there are millions of strains some take more N more P and More K some take MORE MAG. Some take less. Tell me who pissed in your cheerios? My Blackberry fire is prime example WANTS MORE MAG!! Peace

So I think i’m ready to do my first ever topping on this beautfiul symmetrical healthy plant!

im in 2 minds where to TOP… maybe overthinking the whole thing… something everyone has to go through on there first plant…

I can basically do a cut at the 6th node which will leave me with 5 nodes ::: PIC BELOW :::

Or… I can cut at the 5th node which will leave a nice big gap for even more light penetration as shown in picture too… but then it would only leave me with 4 sets of true leaves excluding the the 2 small tiny first ones that grow ::: PIC BELOW :::

or… I could even just fim the very very small head forming the 7th node haha…

Do I have this much choice or is there a better way to start?

Appreciate the help guys thanks…

Heres the pics!!

That is what I want to do haha… to not hurt my lady too much!

this would also give me a route to a nice uniform coned bush yes??

If I were to high stress top then id be desting for a more flat canopy at the top…

would i be right in saying that?
