Bullskinners Redemption 2021: Journal of a Poor Dirt Farmer

Thanks @corey, I appreciate it, you’ll be surprised how those smaller plants will take off. I’ve not had anything in the ground over two weeks and they should explode June and July. I didn’t get pics of the sbt’s…there huge already… going to be bigger than I wanted, lol.

I missed that question. I don’t use any potting soil in my holes, I’d say you are seeing pieces of the composted sheep manure I worked in several holes…it was black

I use sheep poo. Works real good!

The BC Pinewarp is in a location I can only access in the dark. I was up half the night and snuck back in to check on them. They look good. I think I put these in the ground 5 nights ago. They have doubled in size.

I was lost. Thankfully @Bullskinner with his expert navigation skills found me and showed me the way. Glad I managed to arrive before missing all the action! I see the bowl is packed and coffee ready, I appreciate the warm welcome  Your grow brings back many memories of the years I grew plants guerilla style. Looking forward to seeing them unleash!! Ran out of likes 60 posts in and had 1 reload around post 200. Nice pics!! Love the ones of the morels, ginseng, turtle, and all the amazing Cannabis genetics! Healthy and happy plants!

I made it all the way here and I’ll be around until the end, wish you the best in this grow and many more. Hoping one day you’ll be able to grow 12-foot THC trees in your backyard too!! I feel your pain with the guerilla grows brother, I never thought I would see the day where I could grow monster bushes in the back legally. Kinda miss haulin ass in the bush, not to mention the heart-pounding feeling come harvest time. Some intense times, but the feeling when coming home with the goods after bustin my ass all season is one I will never forget.

I’m glad to see you managed to find the fire. I try to always keep one going. I love growing guerilla but it is getting to be to much work…it never ends. I’m getting to old to be packing buckets of water. I’ve done it way to many years.
I still flip if I see or hear low flying planes or helicopters. The new game cams scare the shit out of me. Ones that are cellular capable. I know they have them and if they get a pic it goes to a phone, then they bring in a tracking dog you are caught. I’d much rather go back to the days of just worrying about planes and people hiding in the brush.
Swing back by later this summer, I’ll keep the fire going, bowl packed and the coffee is always on. Here in a couple months the real show begins…

No good freaking rabbits. I honestly thought I was going to get by this year with no problems but yesterday I had 2 GG X SSDD shredded. It literally looks like someone took a razor blade and trimmed them clear to the ground. I didn’t have these caged and knew better. I put cages on the other 2 that are close. Putting a box trap out today. Last year they killed many plants. I had a big SBT that had a 3 inch stalk that the sob’s ringed and killed last year. The war has begun Agian. I also seen a groundhog by 2 other plants. They love cannabis

Oh man, sorry to see that. It makes me think how lucky I’ve been. We have a rabbit or two around but I don’t ever see them in the yard. I end up having pots all around in summer. The deer have never come in to eat them either. I’m really lucky there because we have a lot of them and elk. I guess this year I’m probably safe because we’ve gotten a lot of rain and they have lots of grass up higher. Hope you have a clone to replace it with or bust out a few more beans. Still plenty of time for this year.

I’m about to drop more seeds as the early season is harsh here with hail storms and winds, and last year I planted one plant in May and the other in late June I think and it caught up to the large one planted in May and produced the same as her. Starting them a little later nowadays.

@GMan I always plant more than I really need because I expect to loose a few. Things are doing well this year. We have always had a large whitetail population but I have never had an issue with them eating my plants. Probably because the farmers crops are in and they would rather eat soybeans, clover or corn. Now they do tend to step on them, bed on them and I’ve even had bucks rub thier velvet off on them. That is why I use all the sticks, as deer detours.
I have started photoperiod seed as late as July 1st with shocking harvest. I like to get everything out between may 15th and June 1 but I’ve learned it doesn’t pay to get in a rush. Cannabis loves warm soil and will thrive if you are just patient.

I love animals, but when it comes to growing season they can really be pests. Especially when it feels like they start working together and you need to declare war.

Sorry to hear about the devastation. Even in my backyard I still worry, caught my dog digging right next to one of the plants and the kids are always running circles around them.

@Oldtimerunderground I have always been an outdoorsman. Always loved everything wild. I grew up hunting and trapping and have followed that path my whole life. I did animal control work for many years in 2 states but was a wildlife rehabilitator at the same time. The ex and I raised everything from owls to whitetail deer just to release them in the wild. So I do love all things wild but have no problem declaring war when needed

I found I have a problem that I’ve never had before, bears. One of my bottle supplements is mostly all fish and it wreaks. I also used to use more molasses than I do now and the bear must have thought he had found a candy fish plant.

I found a trail of soil and my plant on the ground halfway to the felt pot, lol. I had just fed it the night before.

I actually was able to save the plant and repot it, and it never missed a beat. Ha, you never know.
