My only advice is to keep the sponge wet.

Right there with ya on my first run! Less than a day left of the 4 day dry (default settings) and have just been keeping the sponge wet and drip tray emptied.

Still no hay smell that I have heard stories of - still smells pretty dank when I open the door to wet the sponge.

Looking forward to the results!

Sandeltroll :

Wine fridge second hand
Inkbird Humidity controller (best with WIFI)
Dehumificator (a small one, best without tank)
…and some tape if you’re lazy or a drill if you’re handy.

I don’t want to write everything double SO

Thats a bit older version, but the basics are still the same.
You may want to “pimp” it with a smart vdp meter from amazon.

Now you owe me 1.8k :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Perhaps the only time you’ll worry about this is the initial investment but the future outcome and ease will dispel from there moving forward

Honestly, how much can I stuff in there if I do a complete wet trim first?
Im on my 3rd ever grow but seem to have decent luck. Ive pulled 1+lb after dry and then 10+oz. Could it handle that kind of load? 1 pound after dry? or even close?

Also, since I’m gonna be spending some bucks, do I get the additional shelves? Based on the size buds Ive pulled prior, I wouldnt need the spacing of 6 shelves and could definitely clear an addtional 2 shelves based on photos Ive seen of others loading their units.

Ive been growing and drying in my 2x4, and the drys have actually worked out really well, but required lots of baby sitting and stress.

@Jetdro

WISH IT HELD MORE…but have a plan for that that should work just fine

Did your plan pan-out? Im right on the edge now. You pull some fairly large harvests. Are you splitting between Cannatrol and your room? Or can it handle all of the load on a rotational basis?

Thats what Im hoping as well, Fortman. Been an expensive year. Just started growing in April of 23 and have spent too many thousands so far. Way more than I should have.
My dries have went well, Weed is really good says everyone, but I always look for the edge. I think any DIY solution to this is just a compromise and room full of equipment.

Although I have been looking at Lotus technique as well. No room for a third full size fridge in house or garage.
