Chem D Discussion

ya read something just the other day about hitting with extra mag for that reason, i do that any ways so if i ever get the cut i’ll know for-sure, it would not be something new to me on the mag side of things.

peace …

You are probably right about him using a dif male. I know he buys and resells seeds from others, and repackages them as his own. All the black dominia and 87hashplant aka puck crosses he released recently as “still in testing” he bought from rootsellerseeds. So if anyone was interested in those, u should check out rootseller, probably one of the most under rated breeders around imo. He pops more seeds of his own than any other breeder I know of

ChemD about to get it on in an Octopot . She got some epsom salts today . Only planted days ago , she has already drained her low filled rez and , to me , looks poised to take off .
Give her another 3 or 4 days , then ill crank the. LED way up and see what she is all about . Never ran her , bot sure ive smoked her either . Hope she lives up to the legend :sunglasses:

no pic today but my Chem D is on day 15 of 12/12 light dep. Small plant in a #5T but will give me a taste.

@TomHill , I have been using the basic soil recipe you shared on the original overgrow. I got it from the archives through icmag members.
I’m curious as to what you recommend for supplemental feeding or foilar that goes with that basic mix. I have some very hungry varieties this greenhouse run and might need to boost them a wee bit as I am seeing a bit of yellowing in the lowers that tells me they are hungry and need more than the soil mix is giving them.
any advice here or in private would be appreciated.

I appreciate that question we growers toil with it. It’s like this. In reality any fool can keep a plant healthy for a couple months and so greenhouse deps and indoor is very different from large plants full season.

I’m a big fan of calcium I was likely saying it’s the real 3rd macro before slow nickle was born.

High brix sprays turned into sweet lol. Breathing containers turned into smart pots netting was brought to bear. I just now pulling in chem d. I have not grown this one before. The other was different.

The slownickle stuff is over my head… I’m a simple gardener and I think I would need to take some college courses before I can really absorb his info and translate it for my garden.
I agree that deps and indoor is such a short window. This is why building the right soil for my short season is crucial to quality at harvest.
I think I just need to push some N on a few plants that are feeding hard thru the stretch. I would normally add Gypsum too but I look around at all my known calcium whores and they are all happy as can be. This is a reammended , recycled soil mix and I did cut back on the sheep manure and maybe that was a mistake. I know your recipe calls for stutzman(?) farms chicken manure but what is readily availlable to me is composted sheep and it has served me well.

And mids turned into dank.

You breeder boys all sound exactly the same at this point. Indistinguishable.

Im not a breeder I’m just a farmer… For going on 40 years. I have no problem telling it like it is I never have. The chem d is like good green bud from the '80’s. It’s good smoke, damn site better than most modern crap.

this is one strain that I never grew — for something to do and test “auto” plants - ran a ChemD strain - was really surprised about the smell and overall plant size for auto’s - guessing the total weight of is about 7oz from a 5 gallon. waiting for a taste sample in a few days after drying. Need to check seed inventory for ChemD - any ChemD suggestions overgrowers ? Thanks

I think the best bet is on CSI Humboldt, and their Chem D s1 ,as it’s from the authentic Chem D,it’s too hard to find a real cut, unless you get it from Caleb(CSI) himself,or Francis (Notsodog), otherwise I just assume it’s a fake,a few of the fakes where traced back to Chemdog Greg himself,so I wouldn’t believe anything from anyone else,of course that hurts everyone who bought a cut,too many bullshit cuts out there, also without a one month cure, the chems won’t come into their own, just mho, hehe peace

u can get the original clone from the man who found it at the Ma dispensory he farms at every once in while… pricey tho at $399 a cut…

Who are you referring to?

Old News here, but they did have the Chems availible this past Spring…

This week, buy legal clones from the Massachusetts grower/breeder Chemdog himself. The 2023 winter releases include authentic Chem 4, Lemon OG Haze, and Biscotti Mintz. The next big release of clones and some rare Chem genetics from Chemdog will be in April/Springtime for the planting season. Chemdog’s brand Smash Hits sells through Canna Provisions stores. Chemdog has kept his authentic genetics close for decades, but fans have opened his heart and vault.
