So, I applied a big Ole bottle of LITFA and Blackberry Moonrocks has turned back around!

On the other side, nothing else is doing well at the moment. Dropped 3 more White Crack x Double Grape in a shot glass last night. They’re going in a paper towel tonight. The one that’s up has weird root growth and just doesn’t look well.

Well, you’ve got a place to store a clone of that Blackberry Moon Rock in my tent when she’s big enough. Let me know, I can always adopt another one.
Been smoking some of that Pura Vida from your beans tonight. I didn’t really get any pics, I’ve been in a weird place recently and basically just started over.

I feel ya. I’ve had a string of bad runs and haven’t really documented it. I’m not sure how I’m going to treat this plant. It all really depends on how it recovers. If I can take some cuttings and get a clone rooted I’ll send one out to ya. Don’t really have anywhere to keep it, so I’d happily share.

Big thanks out to @DougDawson and @LoveDaAutos! Just pulled Blue Kush pollen and Cap Paki fem photos out of the mailbox! Hoping to put some pollen on a lil branch of the Blackberry Moonrocks and maybe pop some of these Cap Paki’s once I flower out the BM. Thanks again y’all!

Well, it’s been two weeks. Things are so so. Blackberry Moonrocks started looking great and then took a turn for the worse again. If she doesn’t do some serious perking up and growing soon im gonna cull her.

Everything got changed out and filled last night. 4 gallons in each bin with two White Crack x Double Grape in the one bin and the one Blackberry Moonrocks in the other. 4g/gal Megacrop, 1.5ml/gal pH down and 3ml/gal calcium hypochlorite.

Oh and this micro plant might be my only successful harvest this year.

So I’m starting to wonder if my issue is water temps. The roots keep going greenish brown and then the whole plant looks sickly. I dunno. Im at a loss. Just hope I can be successful with at least the two new WC x DG. If they’re not successful then this year is a complete wash.

I just can’t seem to keep my pH in check for the life of me. Checked the bins with drops last night and both were sitting about 7 pH. Added 4ml pH Down to each and they’re sitting between 5 and 6, closer to 6. They all look like shit. Not really sure what I’m gonna do right now. This is my last chance really as the wife wants everything illegal shut down by the end of September. I can sneak a couple more weeks in if these go a little longer, but I won’t get any farther.

So now I have to decide within the next couple weeks if I’m going to flip to 12/12 to flower out the Blackberry Moonrocks or to leave it at 18/6 for the Autos. Everything looks like crap at the moment. Amazingly my completely neglected runt is doing the best. Might net me 2-3 grams if I let it live. Sigh. Wife wants the aerogarden back though, so it might get culled. Nowhere else for it to go.

Anyways, here’s some pictures. First up, Blackberry Moonrocks.

Now the WC x DG autos.

And finally the runt.

Forgot to mention that I changed out the airstones today too. Wow what a difference. I forgot what it looked like bubbling new. Maybe that’s part of the issue I’m having with the roots going nasty.

So here’s another thought… I wonder how long the shelf life of my pool shock solution is. I’ve had it a couple of years now. Was reading This thread and it made me think of it. Maybe I’m just not keeping my rez sterile. Wish you could buy bottles of distilled water smaller than a gallon. Might have to go buy a bottle just to be able to redo the solution. It’s not like it’s expensive, just don’t really have anywhere to put it.

So only in Florida will you find meth in soy sauce at a restaurant.

Well it’s been a few days and everything is still fubar. One WC x DG has been extremely stunted, the other is a mutant and BM is taking its sweet time turning back around, again. So pH has remained pretty stable at about 6. I think the bad airstones had a lot to do with that. Anyways, plants.

Best looking: the runt

Almost out of time: Blackberry Moonrocks

Probably not gonna make it: White Crack x Double Grape 1

Most Likely to Succeed: White Crack x Double Grape 2

Sorry for the tint in the pics. Forgot to use white balance.

@moderators could someone merge this into my old thread Here

Please and thank you. Dunno why I started a new thread, shoulda just picked up on that thread.

Water temps and enough oxygen (air stones and pump putting out enough) are crucial in straight hydro. pH too really. Personally, I feel you need a chiller here and a good pH pen to do straight water. If those are too pricey, just grab some coco. It’s much easier and more forgiving. I have a chiller I don’t use. I’m sure we could work something out if you need one. Hempy is easy too. Perlite/vermiculite mix or coco in Hempy’s are easy ways to get a nice harvest.

Edit: What do the plants start in? Looks like it’s really wet in there and holding a lot of water.

Thanks for the feedback. Can’t like your post, in like jail. I’ve been leaning towards 4 possible major issues. Water Temps, which hasn’t been a problem in the past. pH, which I think I’ve got under control now. The clogged air stones, which are now replaced. And sterility. I don’t change my water that often usually and rely on pool shock to sterilize my reservoir. I need to be adding it more often, and probably changing my reservoir more often. The other issue is I probably need to make up some new pool shock solution. The gallon I have made up is like 2 years old. Only gone through half of it.

Edit, the Blackberry Moonrocks was started in an Aerogarden pod, the other two in Jiffy Pucks.

Right on right on. Do you monitor ec of the res? They definitely need frequent top ups or changeouts. I just wouldn’t want anything holding so much moisture near the stem. I always tried to layer some Hydroton on the bottom of net pots, put a cut in, and then fill it up with Hydroton. Best of luck getting things straightened out!

Thanks. No I’m pretty passive with my stuff. I can only afford the cheap meters, and no luck with those. I’m using pH test drops now which is working really well for me. Depending on what I grow I go between 2-4 weeks in between change outs with mostly Jack’s 3-2-1 and recently with Megacrop 1 part. Last year there wasn’t any problems until I botched the pH and murdered my last plants of the year. Been chasing stuff all year this year and I really think the main two problems are the airstones and keeping it sterile.

Thank you Northern_Loki for merging my threads! Now I can just scroll back to see what I did last year instead of hunting down my old thread. Dunno why I thought it would be a good idea to start a new one. Not much new to report. Trying to kill the Blackberry Moonrocks. She has one solid root going and I cut off all the bad roots. See if it pushes her to shoot out some more new roots. Gonna give it another fill in a few days and then give it 2 weeks to come back to something worth flowering. Don’t think it’s gonna get there honestly.
