I would like to get in on the run. I’ve never did a run before. This is the first I’ve even heard ofPreservationCPLEa years ago I started a test run for @sunshine.but because of ciircumstance outta my control. Put a forced stop to the test

You have to watch the list and once somebody volunteers to grow them out and produce seed there will be a dedicated thread in regards to that specific preservation project. Once the strain is being grown out and the thread is started people have to sighn them selves up to receive beans. I have quite a few strains that I would like to see preserved and passed out. With that in mind if nobody volunteers to run the ones I have listed they will be switched out for other options after the specified time in the directions regarding offering strains for preservation.

When we are looking at doing a preservation run we would like to see 10 seeds grown from the get go though there are some variables that could stand in the way like sometimes we don’t get the opportunity as some donated packs will hold 7 or 8 seeds or we’ll have to scramble from time to time to get more as only 2 or 3 germinate being older stock and some strains are known to hermie so will take a lot longer to make sure we aren’t open pollinating this tendency or at least reduce the numbers etc.
Now for receiving a strain to do a preservation run on, thats between the person donating the seeds and the person wanting to grow them though preferably will have been here for awhile and see what you have going on to gain more trust as we have already had a few go missing shortly after receiving the seeds and a couple times right before harvest to find them being sold elsewhere so many of us tend to be a bit leery when someone new wants to help with the endeavor…kind of a catch 22 as we need more breeders to run the strains being offered

I understand completely. I don’t think I have bad karma with anyone on this site now or O.G.1.0. Back then I was Gunggreg I think . my avatar was Bevis ( cornholio) w/ t-shirt over his head, arms raised, w/ bong in one hand and joint in the other . I was running 4-400w lites, 1 in veg room, three in flower room ,2-hps with a Mh. In Middle for stretch control D.W.C., fish tank water. Envy-A Envy-B( best nuits for dwc I could find, and I tried them ALL. Hit a perfect 6.5 ph. And the koalas just blew up) Jamaican bat guano, super thrive, n02, and last but not least by all means , local honey.Mmmmm!. It’s been a minute since I’ve grown, I shut down a ten year run in summer '08. I’ve turned lights back on. I probably won’t do much with them inside except clone and some vegging. Since I’ve shut down I’ve expanded my knowledge with the art of K.N.F…I have a few post bout that here now. Check me out. I usually stay on the down low cause Texas ain’t the most 420 friendlius state.i just started a grow diary.Knf.on OG1.0 IF I posted pics it was bounced thru 3 diff.comp.s thru 3 diff country’s . Never the same 3. Then would delete thread week later. 100% paranoia. I’m calmer now that cannabis is starting to be legalized everywhere. Even in Texas. They are coming around slowly. I’ve gotten so good at growing the plant that my thoughts for the past ten yrs has been on breeding my own strains. Not f3’s. F2’s. Stains. I need further education for that. Best way to get it is here. Just what I’m doing. Start being where the breeders are . make friends., ask questions, apply knowledge gained, spread good karma back to community… I’ve been around. OG not long after it started, watched it go down, back up. I’m here till I die. Keep an eye on me and see what you can do for me. Or what I can do for the community. I do have some Mexican beans from a sack that had the same smell, taste and high that I’ve been smoking for the last 30 yrs. In high school we called it mohacen or wohacan. Since I’ve been thinking breeding. This strain seems to have been around long time( not all Mex. Weed is like it, and we’re flooded with Mex. Weed here). With keeping in my book… If anybody wants a few seeds??? I grew 2 out late 90’s and with the xtra luv inside grows can give compared to acres of Mex farms, it was straight fire. Wasn’t as good as the bubblegum or ak47 I grew but??? Just saying.

Interesting about what you spell wohacan is probably actually Oaxacan. Which if from 90’s maybe a less bastardized strain than what is coming across now. Interesting none the less

From the 70’s until now I guess , it has a unique oder and taste. It comes around.now and then. I’m thinking it’s a pretty stabilised SATIVA from mexico

At least that’s when I first started smoking and it was a regular flavor. Back then. In the 90s is when I grew it. IV e been kicking rocks for awhile now

I ran a GSC x Oaxacan cross this summer. Was the best of my grow. Didn’t look anything like GSC. Tall, spindly sativa look. Buds ran in a helix around the stems.
Solid high, rich smell. It’s curing up well. Dense and sticky.

Well I just read the whole thread. I started reading from about post 100 right before I started stepping on toes . sorry guys. Yeah most the thread is about png. Damn. But like I said. I’m just learning about seed runs and testers. Hoping to learn enough to o. Day , Lord willing, have a strain. Of my own to share with the world. I’ll most definitely start reading more if not all of the long threads before posting in this region of O.G… I ain’t going no where soon . found a new home to study at.
