Flip day 28. This is Cap Junky #1. She really is a beautiful plant. The way the room is set up I can’t really show scale, but she is full and healthy. I only have two feet between the two plants, so I can’t step back far enough to really capture the size of them.
CJ #2 Flip day 28. She shot right past the net and is about 6 to 8 inches taller than I am. Unbelievable stretch. @GCBudz warned me she would double in height or more.
Fire Creek OG F6’s flip day 28. The shorter girl on the right’s pistils are turning brown. She may finish earlier than her sister. Maybe. I tried to play around with the lighting to get better picks, but I can’t get the yellow out. You should be able to zoom in if you need more detail. I’m no photographer.
She surprised me. I’ll be able to tie them off if I have to, but I will say, she has beefy branches. I’ve never been a camera guy. I just point and shoot
CJ1, flip day 43. These girls are going to go 10 weeks, easy. She’s my favorite for structure and general growth. Healthy as any plant I’ve ever grown. I can’t even imagine what these would do outside. Pictures don’t do them any justice at all. The smell on her is really complex. Chemically sweet is the best I can come up with.
CJ2. She is annoying me. I have the light raised as high as it will go and she stopped just shy of it. Four foot colas that I’ve already had to start staking and will probably have to tie to the light. She is an absolute beast and frost monster. She smells of chocolate chip mint ice cream without the chocolate chip, and something…something. One of the stickiest plants we’ve grown besides GG. I have a real love/hate relationship going on with her right now.
Here are the Fire Creek OG’s. They’ve both started senescence, but the taller girl on the left will probably finish in another 10 to 14 days. Her sister will be about a week or so behind her. Omeurta states 55 days max on their website. The smell has morphed into fruity kerosene. I really hate these pics. This is not what they look like where I’m standing. I know I complain about this camera every time, but it’s annoying.
OK, so I wasn’t going to say anything because my expectations were low, but I cut a small branch that was falling over on CJ2 last week (5 weeks) and my wife had a bud off of it for breakfast this morning. She has permagrin stamped on her face and she keeps saying “wow.”
Nice bro! Everything looks awesome! I knew she’d love it if she likes heavy Indy’s! Everything he makes seems to be more geared towards that and I love it. You’ve got me wanting to pop some cap junky now as well, sweet!
absolutely love the look of those fire creek og’s what a beautiful plant you nailed her.
CJ2 sounds really pleasant wonder if you ever run sea og green ? her structure would prob be amazing in a 10 inch rooted clone sent straight to flower. prob finish 3.5 feet with amazing colas
I’ve never grown either strain before, so I didn’t know what to expect in the stretch department. Usually, anything I put in the tent overwhelms it, but the FCOG’s are F6’s, and by all appearances, very indica leaning. CJ2 surprised the hell out of me and now I have to contend with floppy colas and strings at some point soon. I’m absolutely in love with CJ1. She has my favorite growth structure and she was predictable.
You warned me they could stretch double or more. I gambled because I felt like CJ1 needed more veg time. I could have cut it back by a week. One thing I will say, that branch I cut last week off of CJ2 (the tall one) had pretty small buds, but they were solid as rocks, and she is sooooo sticky. My wife love her already
She’s starting to fatten up, and some of her leaves are developing purple hues. Depending upon how quick she turns, I predict around 3 weeks left for her to go. She smells really good. I mentioned earlier that Mrs. Coda tried her at 5 weeks and loves her already. I haven’t tried her yet. Super sticky. For reference, this space is 3 feet wide and 4 feet deep.
Cap Junky # 2. The troublemaker. I love and hate this plant. It’s not her fault she stretched as much as she did, but every time I have to wipe my arms down with rubbing alcohol after staking her colas up, I want to chop her down. Then I smell her and see all the snow, and all is forgiven.
Here are the Fire Creek OG’s. The reason I’m updating tonight is because these two are coming down Friday night. Omeurta states 55 days max on these girls. I could have easily taken them at seven weeks, but I’m letting them go eight. I’m always amazed when they reach this point that they literally suck all the nutrients out of their leaves even though they have plenty of food. That’s why I don’t bother flushing. I’m not knocking it, but for me, I don’t feel the need to. I’ve already pulled a ton of dried crumpled leaves off of them.
I have a leak somewhere in my tent exhaust because this house reeks of over ripe fruit soaked in kerosene, and they are to blame. I’ll update with trim pics.
Fire Creek OG wet trim is done. I cannot express how much I hate wet trimming. I usually don’t mind dry trimming, because I feel like I have time to do it. With wet trimming, the stalks start to get “soggy” and it becomes difficult to manipulate them without them flopping around.
FCOG 1 (The taller pheno)
Her buds are unbelievably dense. She has the densest buds we’ve grown indoors to date. Smell is fruity, metallic, kerosene and skunk. Frost factor very good. No larf. Every bud was rock hard to the bottom of the plant. Trichs are greasy. I spent six hours last night trimming her.
FCOG 2 (The shorter pheno)
Her buds are dense, but not as dense as her sister’s. Still no larf, but the buds are not as large. Smell is exactly like her sister with maybe a little more skunk. With that said, she had a lot more frost than her sister, so I had to leave a lot more sugar leaf on her. I prefer to trim it dry. Trichs are greasy. I spent eight hours today trimming her.
I reach a point where I’m so tired of trimming that I care less and less about the sugar leaves and just start trimming tighter and tossing them.
Rock hard buds, complex smell. Reminds me of old school herb. She is a complete knock down stone. Hard hitting, potent and Mrs. Coda loves it for medicating, but she says she has to be careful with it
Pass this around at a party if things are getting out of hand. It’ll get quiet, quick.
The trim is going to our friends for their Uncle. It’s pretty amazing because they don’t consume at all, but when he was diagnosed with cancer, she did a ton of research, bought a butter maker and learned how to make chocolates for him. Even people that don’t consume see the benefits of cannabis up close and personal.
