I really am tempted. I don’t know if anyone else goes through this, but I always pick the wrong plant whenever I have cloned based on appearance. If I had a dollar for every exceptional looking plant in veg and flower that I thought was going to be the star of the show and her runty, homely sister ended up being the fire, I’d be a rich man.

Wonderful leaf shape- like the really oldskool skunk leaves- wide and generous.

Wonderful ‘‘Fat Freddy’s Cat’’ helper there.

UK420 forum has a post someone told me about today about keeping unrooted cuts in the salad crisper of the fridge- Seems they can live for to to eight weeks, and people find they root well-
A lot of people were skeptical, so tried it out as an experiment- some failed, but many did root.

I’ve kept cuttings in the fridge for several weeks before. The majority survived. I’m sure success rates diminish when you extend that to a couple of months. It is super helpful technique when you’ve got a logjam of plants.

I truly thought the person on UK420 was doing an '‘April Fool’ on me, as I genuinely didn’t think it was possible.
Seems it only works with unrooted snips, and they can’t be too wet.
Some experimenters found cuttings rooted faster than normal after their ‘Hibernation’. Definitely giving it a go. This is the joy of {Good} forums- knowledgeable people sharing their experiences. :+1:

Just a suggestion but the Cap Junky responds really well to super cropping just be sure to soften the branch well and bend it slowly. Slide it under the net and there you go, nice even canopy.

CJ1, Flip Day 17. I can’t find a way to get the whole plant in the picture, so this one is outside of the room looking in at an angle:

Here is her canopy:

Here is CJ2, Flip Day 17, outside looking in:

CJ2 canopy. She stretched considerably more than her sister, but she’ll have nice spear tops. Both of the CJ’s smell identical and very sweet. I think of Sabbath’s ‘Sweet Leaf’ every time I brush up against them:

The two Fire Creek OG’s Flip Day 17. The one on the left is out stretching her sister, but aside from that, they are identical in every way. In terms of growth, they were almost as vigorous as the CJ’s right up until the flip. I wish I had given them one more week in veg though. They’re filling the tent outward instead of upward, which makes them a little unruly. They smell fantastic:

@DougDawson I know you have an FC 65000 light, and yet your pics seem to be a lot whiter than mine are. Is there some setting on your camera that you use for that? My tent pics always seem to be really yellow.

Fire Creek OG top:

I’ll update as they progress. I’m not very good at grow logs.

I don’t use any special settings, just the defaults. You might want to try lowering your lights to the lowest setting and taking your picture with a flash. See if that changes things a bit. :v:

You have an iPhone?

It’s a Samsung S10. Maybe I’ll try a couple with my Wife’s iPhone.

I just know it’s super easy to edit on the iPhone and there’s a button with a wand that cleans things up decent. I just hit that and post them. Maybe I’ll mess with cranking the sharpness and stuff for flower like I see a lot of people doing. Haha Samsung is probably easy to edit too, but I’ve haven’t had anything besides an iPhone since ‘08 or so.

Plants are looking really nice! I have an FC-6500 too and I dim the fixture all the way down to take photos and then turn it back up again. If not I have yellow photos.

I know this sounds crazy, but the wife and I finally figured out what the sweet smell is on the CJ’s. They smell like chocolate chip mint ice cream. Very unique.

Really, I pick up more of a sugar cookie mix fresh out the oven.

Even a bit doughy…

I thought I was crazy so I had my wife come back and rub the stems and she said “Chocolate chip mint ice cream, without the chocolate chip,”

I said, “That’s it!”

Stem rubs can be deceiving though, I’ve learned that with the newer strains.
