(complete) Holy Smoke Seeds Peshawar Afghan Coop Seed Run

Hola @Upstate

I deal with spider mite more then once
First the warmer the more they reproduce
The dryer it is the more they reproduce.

Diatomee dirt will work However it has
to be apply on the underleaf not on top
of it.
Best solution I found was some sriracha
bottle fill with Diatome then squeeze the
bottle and the powder will come out just
keep the bottle horizontally.

Meet some of Joe’s kids. Far from out of the woods but always a small sigh of relief when 10 for 10 are up and standing on their own. Just been lightly misting them with a spray bottle as I clumsily limp around the grow room.

Little “Joe” Babies.
I seem to remember triangular leaves on Joe as a seedling. Anyone recall or have time to search the thread? I’m thinking middle top seedling looks promising…
@deeez99 can you get a new photo for documentation?
For those that don’t know, there are still over 40 slots available in the overflow list.

One of the first things I do if I see bugs inside is coat the rims of the pots and the saucers they’re in with a thin coat of Tanglefoot. It is like super sticky petroleum jelly, intended to be applied to trees to keep crawlies off them. I have applied it right to the stem of weed plants before too, but it seemed like it kept the stem really moist, a couple plants started growing roots from under it, like air layering almost! I don’t do that anymore because I don’t want the outside of the stem to rot and girdle the plant.

I use DE too, applied to the top of the soil, and some in the saucers under the plants as well. Make a nice uniform distribution after any run off water dries up. It’s like a “no mans land” for bugs haha. Like walking through a field of caltrops and broken glass for them! It is nasty to breath though, so if you’re going to go the puffer route, mask up, or hold your breath. I don’t go crazy with it during flower either, for the same reason.

Here there are from this morning. Not too far behind yours.

Below is the only post I could find with the Peshawar seedling pics

What a great idea. I can’t believe I didn’t think of that myself. I’ve used Tanglefoot before. Next time I’ll be prepared. My light bulbs came in so i can give the seedlings their own space now. I know there are a couple mites that will show up in there, but soon i can eliminate the source of the mite trouble and once that’s taken care of I’ll have them gone.

Wow. Very uniform leaves. Hopefully some of those seedlings take after momma.

Look who showed up yesterday  better late than never  but not @Upstate fault because I’ve been waiting over 3 months on my RSC pack so there are some postal issues out there somewhere and to add to it all I thought I didn’t make the cut being kind of a newbie so I started Popping beans so now I’m limited on space but I might be able to scrape up a spare tent so don’t count me out yet and if can’t pull off timing I’ll still make seed so yeah I got work to do

I hope you find some beauties in that pack @drgreensleeves. I kinda sensed you were the " made for OG" type and felt safe sending those seeds your way. Not anyones fault the mail is slow. I wouldn’t have waited to pop other seeds either. Time is too precious! Don’t forget pictures when you are able to pop them. Enjoy!

I will say that if you’re like me, a stoner, and I suspect you are, you will keep forgetting, and grabbing the super sticky rim of the pots haha.

But it works a treat. I had a really bad fungus gnat problem once, and the edges of the pots looked like they had felt on them because of how many flies were stuck to them. Pretty rank to grab though haha.

Sounds about right lol. For sure!
I wish i’d had time to get that tanglefoot a week ago. Got a few mites now. The culprit plants are leaving the room tomorrow, bleach, clean; put seedlings in there permanently and grow the little plants a couple more weeks and then neem oil the little mite bastards. For now I’m squishing them best i can.

Joe and her progeny. Transplanting both asap…as I need to flip them to flower soon.
What’s the normal size when you flip seedlings? I’ve grown the tropicals a few years now and I forget. A foot tall?

Good to see you in some indoor action for a change Arriba|nullxnull, hope you will soon get rid of those little bastards, :seedling: :seedling: looking great so far … beer3|nullxnull

Posted this somewhere before… coat lemons in tanglefoot with a stick like a popsicle. Stick one in each pot. Something about yellow & round shapes attracts them like nothing else - you’ll have brown hairy balls in no time! That’s what she said!

I’m lazy and just use the yellow plastic flat sheets cut in half. They make a really good indicator flag for any developing ‘problem’ species as there’s little that can pull out of them. Gecko’s, lizards and mantis unfortunately get thinned out too!

12" tall is a safe height for flipping equatorials.

How about the Peshawar? I seem to remember doing just a 30 day veg when i ran plants indoors…is that right?

Great tip!

@Upstate I was planning to pot these up to 1 gal containers next week and flip to 12/12. But if there’s a little extra time I wouldn’t mind vegging them a bit longer. I really can’t tell yet if there is anything in here resembling Joe.

@deeez99 Yours have caught up to mine. Well done. Mine have prime conditions now and i hope will keep pace with yours.
We have 16 weeks til mail out. That gives me 3 more weeks to veg Joe, flip to 12 12 and pollinate week 3 and 4 of flower…that’s 7 weeks. 6-8 weeks more for seed…14-15 weeks total. Close one.
Seem doable to you?
I’m going to up pot after work tomorrow. Maybe i can flip to flower a week before you.

You can also use yellow plastic folders from the dollar store, coated in tanglefoot.

Haa, haa, haa! It’s the 'TangleFoot" that’s hard to find out here in Asia!

I brought a big toothpaste-like tube with me when I came out here almost 30 years ago (And who wouldn’t pack such a thing?) …still got a squeeze or two left! :joy:
