Crossing Grain Hemp

I intend to cross American hemp grain with some type of kush but I wanted to know the potential pros and cons.

I am hoping the blend will allow for more resiliency in the offspring, as the AHG tend to shoot fast and grow faster than any strain I’ve grown even with a large variety of humidity and soil levels. Are there any potential downsides that can’t be accounted for? I was expecting some loss in potency for the offspring but with pheno hunting I thought it could be minimal.

Should I use hemp pollen or have the hemp plants pollinated by the cannabis? This has been something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time so constructive criticism is welcome.

John from snow high said he found that the male passes potency most of the times but I think it’s really dependent on who has the more dominate traits. Chem91’ seemed to always pass potency in crosses and was usually the mom.

If I were you I’d do one of each and see. You’ll probably need to pop a good amount to really hone in anything worth while.
But I’m no breeder so take with a grain of salt.
