CSI Humboldt Seeds

Excited about the PTK breeding project. Have a lot of my hunted clones that I use for breeding including some hype train cuts like JokerZ, Hindu z, Gelato plus some of my Haze Cuts.
I also hunted a pack of the Black Triangle and flowered three females and have a keeper cut that I put in every breeding run - solid genetics.

SHN has been around for quite a bit longer than a couple years. But CSI released GG4 S1s back in late 2020 or early 2021, so getting a couple CSI GG4 S1s as freebies from SHN is very probable.

It really seems a misunderstanding of S1s appears to be the culprit in your experience. S1 seeds are not guaranteed to be identical to the original mother plant. While creating an an S1 from a clone increases homozygosity by around 50%, it still leaves a lot of selection to do in order to find plants that are equal to or greater than the original clone. Some of the resulting plants will be super close to the original clone. Others, as you found, not very similar at all. Running S1s, like running F2s, is really a numbers game. Just because you didn’t win the genetic lottery in your single S1 seed is no reason to assume nefarious intent from either SHN or CSI.

are all the 3 packs from csi not fallen soldiers?

That’s another good point that I hadn’t considered. Though I’d imagine a freebie from SHN might also be a pack they split, similar to how JBC gives out some split pack freebies.

If the fallen soldier pack is true, there’s no way to know the female. And very little possibility that it’s going to result in anything closely resembling a GG4.

Nothing but good things to say about CSI. He hooks it up and hes working legit cuts 95% of the time which is better than 95% of the fools out there

Dude I’ve always wanted some Urkle from CSIhum. I haven’t opened them yet but I have a pack from several years back of Cali-O AE-77. I’ve seen some beautiful sawtooth plants come from grow diaries.

I hear nothing but good things from them as well as having some of what I would say are iconic strains from when they started. Those plants look perfect. The genetics and growing conditions are top notch. Very cool collection. Thanks for posting this. I’ll have to try to come across something else from them to run. Be safe.:v::grin:

Who here is addicted to adding CSI packs to their vault? It’s like Christmas morning waiting on new beans to show up in the mail!

I sure am. The extras he throws in are just as good as the ordered packs. He threw in a full pack of Big Bad Wolf 2.0 on my last order. Probably pop a couple on the next run.

Do it BBW 2.0 is amazing and potent. Easy to grow. Definitely top because mine grew side branches that were vertical and close to the main stem
