Yo! Whats up Oh, Jeez! Been a busy couple of weeks, chock full of emotional, physical, and mental tests. Actually came close to chopping these ladies a couple times because of the PM(i think chopping the ginger was a smart move though, she wasnt getting enough light stuck behind the Don and I think thats kind of how/where the fungus started, was able to thrive), just so very thankfull for all the good vibes coming from yall to keep at it. To not give up, look at the situation differently, take time to make decisions.
Im kind of laughing at myself now. I definitely lost it! Though, I dont know who wouldn’t when they first come face to face with a bad case of PM, weeks, possibly months, from harvest, outdoors, it was insane, and yeah, theres probably a deeper issue there for me but my mental obsession HAS been paying off. Ive learned more than I bargained for, but yeah, just a test and now I feel alot better about the outcome. I felt really silly for letting it get to me so much, because I personally know how it is all just so relative and not the end of the world. As Ive eluded to, Ive put myself and others through the ringer in life.
When you find yourself homeless for a couple years, with multiple drug addictions, overdoses left and right, spend over a decade all together locked up from crimes ranging from simple pot possession to distribution of multiple substances, then on to burglerly and an eventual pharmacy robbery that wasn’t as thrilling as the cult classic movie ‘Drugstore Cowboy’ but pretty damn close, go through any of or all of that and your whole perspective on life can change, those years were over the top crazy, a series of terrible choices mixed in with alot of ‘great’ times but overall, very selfish choices that caused alot of pain for others as well, kind of a dream now, and fortunately VERY different than where I find myself now. The way I live my life today is drastically different to say the least. I can’t tell yall how much work and shear luck it took to fight the flames I put myself through, and it must be said, my ‘Angel’ is probably the soul reason Im still here on this planet. I know all of yall can relate to alot of this, one way or another, we’ve all been persecuted over this plant at some point, in some way, and most unfortunately, alot of us still are. I try not to forget that.
This summer surprised me, its so easy to think that life’s give and take has somehow just stopped and everything is simply going to be perfect ‘from now on’, especially if one has recently stopped drinking or come to terms with something along those lines. I guess what Im trying to say here is that this experience with yall here online has been surprisingly very therapeutic for me, I thought I knew myself well but not like I do now! The good and the bad. Id be lying if I didn’t say I also desire to give anyone who needs it, just a trichome of hope who is currently in a situation that seems impossible to surmount, I haven’t seen it all, but I have lived through alot of it. I also know how quickly life can change, even when we are making the ‘right choices’, whatever those are. I sure can’t say with any certainty that Ive even done anything to help these plants or myself lol through the many trials, this summers many tests, such as a mysteriously flooded basement, personal health issues as well as that of my Angel, multiple scam artists(yeah, probably some karma there!) I do recognize many of my mistakes and such and have been trying to understand the weather better, how it promotes or discourages fungal outbreaks such as this, but all I really know is these are some strong girls for making it this far, just a few more days and they will be plump enough to take, the DJ is so freakin sticky and smelly, everyday she gets nastier… here is a double headed cola thats lookin alittle rough but I cant wait to pull some bubble from her…

and yeah, I just use a bubble bag kit, which will be alot of work to process everything, though Im also thinking about finding some dry ice and doing that trick, I’ll have to read into it again myself, but its very simple, then yeah, going to find a way to press the hash/kief since there should be alot, but all the usual ways to ingest cannabis, the nicer flowers, just gonna keep, Im not worried about the pm boogie man at all anymore, just gonna clean, dont sell or give unknowingly to anyone, but if all you have is some pm on your only ladies and they are getting close to finish, I say keep at it, surely not preferable but much better than starting over with nothing, then after the grow, rethink your options. I definitely see things very differently now. I haven’t even had a single spot turn up anywhere else. I was expecting that shit to pop up everywhere but it never did. I probably wasn’t feeding enough or correct amounts and combined with environmental factors, late detection, almost no prevention, it was a pm time bomb back there. It did look alot worse at one point, not really sure what helped them yet, could have been the regalia and just better practices, continued care. Going to really spilt my seasons up from now on. Maybe just take it one day at a time. Oh, I know, One grow at a time?
Everyday this girl is looking prettier…

Eight weeks old today. Im thinking, start to finish, she will be harvest ready at ten weeks or less, going to clean up all the inner stuff in a few days, maybe the reverse, then let the rest get real rotten funky, fruity and gassed up! Yum!

I sincerely pray that everyone is living well today. Cherish the wins and learn from the mistakes.
Reach out if you feel alone, give back if your not!
Many thanks to so many of you for sticking with us through this grow, both for the plants and our own personal growth. We cannot escape the symbiosis, the spiritual mycelium that connects us all, helps us to grow and thrive together. One life, One love!

Those are looking awesome!

Glad you are letting go of the reigns a bit, I’m learning that it’s impossible to get things perfect. Nature especially. I read somewhere on here that we’re not growing plants, we’re trying to grow the environment - the plant does it’s thing in that environment. I like that mentality.

Thanks for the tips on hashmaking, in addition to Jim’s thread and a few books I should be ready to give it a shot once the bags arrive. Considering my Hella Jelly is coming down on Friday, I’ll have plenty of fresh-frozen to give it a proper go. (peep my thread for pictures, I got some really nice ones today)

The forum has been really helpful in terms of learning and meeting other folks, like you! We’re all more alike than it seems from the surface, and I find close community ties with pretty much every group I fall in with over the years. Lot’s of them, I’ve had/have a diverse array of hobbies. This is a particularly strong one though.

Glad your babies are better and looking so damn good!

Very cool bro! I can say I agree with your words man, every one. You said it! Very glad to have met you as well and so many here. You have particularly been a good friend and someone I have great faith that can and will help to change the general outlook and future of this plant and this planet we love and need so much. We are stronger together, I know that this plant, and yes, our whole planet, needs our collective help to keep things spinning. Working towards 100% self sustainable organic gardening and farming is my goal, we’re all spreading the word, Ms. Dendro is slowly starting to see why our path has led us here to this land. At least thats what my delusions say! Haha…We’ll see, every year we have been adding a little more. Life is good. We’re just getting started! Thank you so much for your support and friendship brother!

And I had came on to post this cool cover just found on soundcloud…

Dude gets after it!

Getting all my work spaces ready, buckets, gear, gonna be alot of work. Looks like the plants are spaced out pretty good, praying for everyone to beat the frost, I know some of yall have already hit it. Trying to get a bunch of ‘fast’ beans ready for anyone who wants em. I cant help posting this girl up everyday, she changes colors so fast, like a lavender slime red over night. Just in love with her right now, swellin is insane quick…

Banana Berry Muffins x El’Chemi Kiwi

Banana Berry Muffins(Nachos and El’Sapos)

Some of the El’Chemi Kiwi mother adove, she was a small plant, probably due to transplant, or cold weather, smoke was excellent and smooth.

Lol, she was underwhelming to say the least but again, Im sure I made some mistakes, her daughter sure is getting bigger with no problem. Here’s the BBM male…

Not gonna lie, I had just cracked a single bean and was bummed he turned out but those feelings are long gone, can’t take for granted the Dudes yall!
And yeah, that pollen gets around, these below are all from early formed calyxs, out of two zones pulled, only these so far, thinking Starberry Greases from Brisco but is either that one or Banana OG, or maybe BBM, will have to grow em out to make an educated guess, could be herms but in my experience, there are usually more seeds and inside the buds not the first calyxs, but hey, what do I know! Just another fun mystery to figure out…

Thank you so much to the people that made this possible for me to become self sustained, always gonna rep the folks that set me up. I just made up 15 packs of something else Ive worked on/lucked out with to gift to my addiction therapist to pass around. Forever keep on Overgrowin Yall!

Lol been pullin teeth to gift some seeds out but hopefully these go to good use…two different bag beans from years ago that hermed in my first botched outdoor light dep. I know, great gift, right? But after growing them out inside or full outdoor, they both are stable enough(the mw has to be a perfect light schedule), some good unique terps and effects as well…wish I knew what the genetics are…will probably try sending in a sample to get checked at some point. I just call em ‘Old School Fool’ and ‘Mountain Weather’ for now, have passed a bunch of these out to folks hiking through on the AT and some locals as well, I save the good stuff for any OGs so no worries yall lol…Hopefully someone, somewhere enjoys someday, gets some nice meds…

Lookin good over here too! Hopefully those fast beans turn out. Love that red color, it’ll be interesting seeing how the colors change as it gets colder. Mine have been getting more color going on between the fading and colder nights. What’s the smell like on that BBM x ECK?

Maybe next summer I’ll get into tossing some pollen around too, we’ll see. My commute is going to be spent listening to several “meet the breeder” type podcasts this week, they tend to inspire me to try some stuff.

Out of curiosity, what went wrong with your light dep?

Thanks man! Everything is changing over so fast. All the leaves around here are coloring out and falling off, the little banana fast girl is fitting right in! She definitely has some pretty hues going on. Smells kind of sour/chem with a sweet scent to it, saying banana or berries is probably biased but it’s sweet and sour bite is growing stronger every day. I didn’t keep the best notes but Im going with her born on date as August 1st. So with about five weeks of flowering so far, she’s doing good, have kept her outside the whole time to test her sturdiness, passing that one with flying colors as well. Just hoping she puts on some actual weight, chucking is lots of fun and helps to treat any excessive bean buying/addictive behavior. You know I recommend it! Im not going to do anymore for awhile, definitely want to work on some basics but other reasons like random pollen and seriously it dies become addictive! Gonna chill…
The light deprivation mistakes I refer to were/are probably typical stuff like light leaks and improper timing, I was doing it all manually…so just the usual, tons of hermed seeds, but practice makes perfect, really comes in handy to get multiple harvests or to keep plants in veg during the short seasons. A lot of work, would like to make something automated soon, but for now, with alittle extra work, fairly easy to grow and flower outside most of the year. Maybe four months indoors? These fast strains are gonna be a big help. The other one is BBM x Double Smile(double grape x marley’s grin), did those at the same time and should be enough seeds to make a good solid ‘fast’ version for our weather and other needs here. Got to follow our dreams!
Hope all is well brother  about to hit the sack early, very ready for these last big girls to finish up. Sure you are too!

Got a bunch of mowing to do before all this rain comes in, gonna have to keep a close eye on the ladies, might harvest a bit early but this low humidity has helped keep the pm in check for sure, will be playing it day to day. Ladies are looking good though! Im amazed how well they did, like its been just enough to help me get them through, I wont ever plant all close up like that again though!

Big girl is just full of hand grenades, getting thicka every day! Snow Fire, more massive than I can show, and if your in the hood(northern va), come take a peak and a branch…

Don Johnson is a sticky mess and can be smelled from across the yard, I confess, Ive already been smoking her kief, a bunch of frozen early trimmings keeps packin my bowl with golden tinted shake. Doin the job and then some!..

Found this little one this morning, thought @Herrsquidward would aprove(I hope your not getting hit too hard?), I feel lucky just to have spied one of these…

The sunset was eye opening yesterevening…

Stay Hopeful and Grateful Fam, those storms down South seem violent, prayin for yall

Looking great man! They look happy, which makes me happy, and I’m sure makes YOU happy :sunglasses:

That Snow Fire looks similar in structure to my Avenue of the Giants. It was a right pain in the ass to harvest with all the hand grenades, hopefully yours goes a bit easier. Mine had a ton of tiny nugs, not even hand grenades.

Very cool. The fact that you found a walking stick means your garden is a force for good in the ecosystem. I’m letting my coleus bloom and it seems like every bumblebee (and the occasional honeybee) in the county has shown up. The temp here has dropped suddenly, so fewer anoles but they’re still out there.
The change of seasons has given me buck fever. It’s archery season and I’ve got a crossbow, so if one shows up no more than 25 meters away. Your plants look amazing; hope you do a smoke report.

Stuck like Chuck man, it really is like being on a merry go round, even when we do decide to jump off, we’re still at the damn Circus! :call_me_hand::v: …and Dude, these nugs are indeed sticky! And flopping all over, you and your garden sure seem to know all about that, hope all is good out there too…

Just took another round of the DJ yesterday, feels good to get some in bank, waiting a little longer on the rest, always pushin my luck, and keepin it sticky!

Thank you man! Im ecstatic that they are all working out, some hard work and perseverance and as always, alot of thanks and appreciation for alot of good advice and encouragement from you and so many more great people here, we definitely did not feel alone on this grow. I almost, just almost, lost my mind for a bit there, but you and the fam here were amazingly good to me.
Check out these pics from some of the worst days, maybe two weeks ago? They look almost completely free of the pm now, its still there, just to a lesser degree, but those were some tough days, on top of everything else life gives us, Im still in awe and blessed that they have pulled through as well as they have, in the future, I hope to avoid this but Im not gonna let it get me down…

Your dead on with the trimming, the SF is gonna be a real bitch I think, as soon as shes ready, she’s going abit slower, but the density is already there, alot of these will probably get frozen and then quickly crushed before they thaw to use in the hash bags. I really dont want to trim all that! Yes some big buds but LOTS of not so big ones too…good problems though, right? Hope all is good man, rainy weekend here

I thought you would like! I think thats a first for me, definitely going to keep a sharper eye out. You right about insects being an indicator of a healthy ecosystem, they are so sensitive to things we think are harmless, its sad when I read how bad the bee population is getting but good to hear your seeing healthy behavior too, we have a good amount out this way as well.
No smoke report yet, but these nugs are looking and smelling to be some winners…

And I wish you a steady aim and a fine harvest with your crossbow, I have a lot of respect for any bow hunting especially, got to earn it!

Very nice. I just helped a buddy of mine harvest his crop. Basically, he said that if I walked him through the process of growing and helped trim, he’d split it down the middle with me. The operation went perfectly and I got a decent haul. It’s Northern Lights auto, and it’s better than I dared to dream. The aroma is pine, citrus and an odd astringent smell, with next to no “skunky” terpenes (I’ll never understand why people wanted such skunky weed. It’s illegal, and the last thing you want to do is make it any more obvious). The “bag appeal” is practically non-existent; I care about smell and potency. The potency is where it really shines. I’ll put it his way: I got through about half a joint before I caught myself staring at the wall.

Heck yeah man! Thats awesome, really good to hear, that sounds like a perfectly OG way to get er done! Nice brother. I have a few strains that dont look anything “special” but damn sure are some of the best I’ve ever smoked. Got some pretty ones too and your right, it really doesn’t have anything to do with potency. I see where people are taking things but Im with you, great bud is great bud and not everyone enjoys cakes and candy terps and rainbow colored flower, I mean, I got nothing against all that lol but I do have a soft spot for nice low key floral notes too and the frosted lime or dark green buds? Just more old school. Its nostalgic. The lemony/pine your talking about is usually some good medicine for getting shit done. At least the strains I possess. Abit much and yeah Im stuck too and staring into space not getting much else done!
So glad that your also getting prepared for winter, its gonna be a real downer, I can feel it, hope Im wrong and am stocking up on real needs as well but it feels good to be as ready as possible and know that others are set up too.

Interesting you noted the real piney stuff has an “up” effect. That’s no coincidence. The terpene is called “pinene” and it has a slightly stimulating effect by itself. Combine that with THC and even trace amounts of THC-V and you’ve got some good wakey weed.
