Oh it is, having this part of the world as partially at least my home and family here locally is very nice. I live a bit outside the most frequented spots by tourists so its country life more than holiday resort kind of life haha
Oh man, it looks so nice. If I was younger, I would find a way to hitchhike over to visit, heh. That Tuna made me drool!.. Did you meet your wife while in the service? You sure make it sound nice, and Iāve always heard that the people are wonderful.
Hey man, yea that tuna was really good. Everything at that restaurant (the pics arenāt all from the same moment) is so good you literally go wow! After everythuing.
I am not american and didnāt meet my wife in the service. I worked with my wifeās sister at a government place (not police lol, educational). I would probably never in my life have visited this particular part of the kingdom but I spent a few years in a few different places before ending up here. Used to stay and work here full time for years.
Its such a nice feeling now when its cool to grow and smoke openlyā¦
Thatās great brother!
Some commercial that donāt look like much but it puts these thai stoners in a stare hehe, it caught some dreamy cured stuff out after 6 month in the fridge.
And the neighbors kid, buddha bless the man (as he isnāt a kid he has kids of his own) got the non compressed from him also out of the fridge now only 3 weeks thoughā¦
Must be kinda tough having to test all that good weed; feel for you brother
hey guys Iām about to pull the trigger on some Thai seeds from zomia collective. Iāve been looking at the red star, mango Thai or tiger tail does anyone have info on these or any suggestions on what to grow as my first Thai adventure!? Iām open to all suggestions and have little to no experience with real long flowering thin leaves varieties and I grow indoor under l.e.ds.
I would recommend The Real Seed Company/Kwik Seeds for Thai/Laotian seeds. Good knowledge and a good spread of different varieties of the type youāre looking for as well as a bunch of other both landrace types and hybrids.
Good luck, itās a challenge to grow a southeast Asian type indoors!
thank you!!! going to check em out now! Iāve heard how hard it can be I can feel the struggle already but Iām in need of a challenged and sooooo sick of all the polly hybrids today and always wanted to try authentic Thai genetics. a few years ago I had no idea that people preserve these strain today I feel super fortunate that I even have this opportunity to buy these types of seed
yea check them out and contacting them if any questions regarding the varieties is always a good idea, the guy who runs it usually is very generous with his time regarding those landrace varieties. There are a few different southeast Asian varieties to select from so you should rather have a hard time narrowing it down.
if done right the hard work and struggle growing them will reward you greatly. Really good thai weed grown really well in my book is very hard to beat. Good luck!
just popped a few old Thai seeds from Dan Chang !!!
Hi Friends.
Iām newer to OG. Every few days I see this topic āDo you smoke Thaiā listed under new posts and think to my self āNot yetā.
Any recommendations on crosses? Preferably with shorter flowering times, but still expressing some (or most) of what a Thai smoke is like?
Cheers!
I dig your screen name and avatar, lolā¦ cracked me up.
I donāt have any good recommendations of thai hybrids but I am sure thereās a few of the guys in here that have tried some hybrids with that that they liked and can recommend. I mostly have experience smoking thai in the kingdom and those are not shorter flowering time plants especially if youāre an indoor growerā¦ all the best
Sadly, not since Thai sticks first came to the US in the late60s/early70s.
Thanks @StocktonT, I will see if any other replies mention crosses.
Hi @mota. If flowering time wasnāt a issue what would you recommend? My growing skills are about a 4 out of ten (novice to pro), but confident OG folks would help me out if I diary my grow.
To me most all of the sativas Iāve grown were the easiest plants Iāve ever grown. Itās just that they move in slow motion as far as time. Lots of people will start them inside in spring, and then leave them outside to grow and flower. But many times you have to bring the plant back inside to finish, in front of a window or under the lights. Or start them in late spring outside and let them finish inside when the cold comes.
If youāre growing inside, you can leave them in a smaller pot at first and some will conform to the smaller pot and grow less tall. You can also top the plants and that slows them down, too. Once they start flowering you can move them into a larger pot to flower but often you wonāt get that crazy stretch by then.
