I think he was just saying quality of smoke is more important than color with any weed. I don’t think he was singling out PU or saying it wasn’t good.

I’ve never grown or smoked straight PU, but it seems like everybody’s opinion of it is different. I did just grow the Purple NL2 and I reeealllyyy don’t like it, which is a first for me and a Bodhi cross.

Ok so I was taking a closer look at some of the girls today and found a Nanner on my tropical fruit Bandaid so i picked it off and thats when I noticed they were all over.
Long story short I chopped her down. Hopefully before any damage was done.
Could be sterile but I’m not taking that chance as I have no separate place to keep her at the moment.
I don’t think it was grower error however I’m going to try and revege it and try again at a later date just to be sure.

It’s all good. Shit happens from time to time when growing from seed. The pungent pheno is still rocking right along.

I was gon smoke em both then decide which to keep. It’s gon be hard for them to out and out beat the Super Malawi Haze I got going.
I’ve had piff on more than a few occasions although it’s been a while. I’d say the Super Malawi Haze is right up there if not better.
I like variety though so I hope the Bandaid is different enough to join the stable

After going back and looking thru some pics I estimate she’s around sixty days right now so I think 72 to 80 days tops flowering time on this one. But we’ll soon see

I got plenty green weed. Why not some Purple. It smells so good. Lol
But yea I don’t actually care about colors. I judge on quality of high first then flavor then every thing else.
I know the general consensus is Purple weed isn’t as good as green and I find as far as potency this is usually true but I’ve grown some Ace Purple Haze x Malawi that Purpled up some and I think it would’ve satisfied even the pickiest pot snob. So there are exceptions at least in my experience.

Did you find your winner (super malawi hz) in the feminized packs or the regulars? How long does she flower?
I have a pack of the regs, but wasn’t particularly excited to run it till now.

I agree, color is not a concern, effect is the main priority. Seen a lot of bud that was not green that I considered top shelf. It is subjective, everyone has an opinion or preference, variety is the spice of life!
Ps: Thanks for the update, PU is looking the part in all her beautiful colors. Sorry to see the nanners on your Bandaid. I am going to get the Bandaid ix and f1 #7 in soon! Picking up a few from ACE also!!

It came out of a fem pack.
As you can tell from earlier post I don’t keep track of flower times very well but usually takes somewhere around a 100 days

Probably because f1 nl5x haze hasn’t been made in over 25-30 years. If you can find f1 seeds might be worth a lot of money now. Theres a couple of f1 clones still around but not easily accessible.
I’ve grown archive’s rudeboi #7 cut, smoked it etc. I still have some bud from my 2018 outdoor. I’ll write up a thorough description, take a photo of the buds, and see if I can find any old photos from when I grew it out.
