Just be prepared to bend, twist, and tie down branches and you’ll be fine if you end up with a plant that leans too much toward the male.
Besides, you may not see a gender reveal on them until they’re between 4-8 weeks. Finding & pulling newly revealed male plants out of a flower tent seems more stressful to me than wrestling a stretchy plant into submission.
Man such great info and yes you are right I meant uniformity.
You talked me into the F1 s on a side note. To be honest it’s just been so long since not having a great mother to clone off of and not being up-to-date on all the breeders the thought of seeds both excites and scares me.
I really don’t think you’ll have a problem finding a few keepers to, uh, keep around and take clones from with any of Doc’s gear. Pretty sure it’ll all just be a matter of personal preferences. In fact, you may have a difficult time narrowing things down.
Breedbay’s awesome, but if you ever don’t feel like logging on and looking around (you should take some time to look around, though haha, that site’s full of useful info), you can always just google the genetics of whatever you’re curious about. Like, I just googled “Doc D Dragon Energy cannabis genetics” because I was curious myself, always forget what the exact lineage of that one is haha and it came right up.
Oh my google-fu must have been off, you’re right sure enough, dragon soul pops up now. Hit a dead end there earlier, I think because I was searching “Dragonsoul”
Yep. Just keep in mind that seedfinder is only as good as whoever entered the info…which is to say that there’s a lot of mistakes, poor assumptions, and other errors in there among all the good info. May the odds be ever in your favor with regard to determining which is which.
Not to get too technical, but Dragonsblood is an Fgen of bodhi’s pipeline hp (an old line from a friend on Maui), now in F4 or later. That’s the line bodhi isolated the blood trait from. Many will remember bodhi’s old quote about the Dragonsblood:
Dragonsblood Hashplant is Dragonsblood (some fgen) x 88g13hp.
Has anyone seen the dragon energy crosses put out any phenos with the blood trait?
Also here’s some pics of my BLR x NWHP at almost 2 weeks old (still haven’t started a thread on this yet but I will once I start flower for sure). I was 9 for 12 on germination. 5 of 9 are showing incredible vigor like I haven’t seen before. It’s already pushing out new leaves at the nodes and these plants are like 4” inches tall haha. Those 5 also have about double the leaf sets and like 4 times the biomass probably. I don’t plan on culling the 4 slower seedlings but I might if space runs out as I am most excited about these fast growers. In the next week I’m going to put these in slightly larger containers and start to flower probably a week after that. Can’t wait until I can get stem rubs of these.
The whole family:
That unrelated pic is headband x Jersey juice by funkyspecimen. I was impressed with the vigor of this strain. You can see chutes starting to pop out from the bottom nodes, but I can tell the BLR x NWHP is going to be branching how harder than this one when it’s the same age. Pretty stoked on these!
Yeah. I’d actually forgotten about it until I was reading nube’s post, but one of the Colombian Gold x DE plants from last round “bled” when I topped her. I can’t remember offhand if it was the DE-leaner or the C. Gold-leaner, but I posted a (really shitty) pic of it in my log, meant to scroll around on there yesterday to see if I could find it. But I forgot haha. I might’ve actually posted that pic here, too, can’t remember.
Plants look real good, btw! Gotta love that vigor. The Purple Corinto Budder x A5Thai seedlings are easily the most vigorous of everything I’m growing right now, too.
I’ve got some of the DE back crossed to the DragonSoul that I’m hoping to get some nice plants and bleeders from. I figured that was the DE cross that should have the highest bleeder %.
@minitiger
It might be in the Colombian genes too, as I have seen and heard about bleeders in haze and Punto Rojo
