I had a similar issue with my grow, when you’re near to harvest it makes sense to just chop them, if mold grew in that environment before, then it’ll happen again, chop chop chop. Some nice looking buds, all the best mate
Good idea to break the big colas up into smaller pieces!
So true. This summer heat in a high humidity area all in a non enclosed grow room the tent is in is a real PIA.
Heat this year caught most of guard. Its not even close to being over.
I’m running 78f-81f and 50RH but have tons of airflow ad it’s seemed to do it’s thing. I think airflows a huge help
Off with its head don’t want that spreading round the tent
I recently had bud rot due to not enough air flow. You may want to get more air flow moving in the upper canopy.
If that clip on corner fan is the only upper canopy fan you have. I would say you need more CFM than the clip on can push to avoid bud rot in the next run.
I hope you have a great harvest even with this slight hiccup.
Great advice much appreciated. Before noticing the rot I had that cheap clip fan, an ac infinity oscillating and a 6” in-line fan. I added another oscillation ac fan, which should have been there much sooner. Live and learn.
Even with a pretty powerful dehumidifier I couldn’t get my humidity below 52 and that was small time window of the day. Garlic banana strain definitely does not like high 50’s and low 60’s in humidity that’s for sure lol. But most likely most strains don’t i suppose. Gg#4 seemed to flourish regardless though.
Hit up star_dog ,he can grow .He also finishes plants consistently in 60-70 humidity.
Yeah I had to run two. I have an alorair commercial and a ge 50 pint from Home Depot. Can keep humidity around 45
Smoke that shit!
Does two dehumidifiers create a lot of heat for you? My one big dehumidifier created quite a lot of heat.
Try to keep the soil pretty dry for the last few weeks of flower.
You may need to water a tiny amount every day to do this depending on your situation.
The opposite is usually the main cause of bud rot.
Like others have said, look deep inside the bud that is where the rot is…all the way into the stem.
There are some posts here that talk about amber trich’s at harvest.
In short waiting for amber is not really the best choice.
Cloudy yes, amber is dependent on genetics and a true amber trich is not withered.
Take that for what it is worth.
Good luck.
Shag
All milky/cloudy trichomes and a few clear left Is Better?
@shag
Yes looks very much like bud rot. Good luck sorting it out
Thank you others are saying it’s not I’m just making sure I’m not wasting time and spreading anything
Sorry, Man, but yeah, that’s the stuff. Now you know for next time what to try to avoid. Hopefully you have other stuff that made it though! I think you could still make hash with that if it’s all got the rot.
