South Congo. 2 phenos.
Damn fine looking plants as always!
Uganda have doubled in size in a week. These are different plants grown under 12 12 lighting. A couple have sexed already. These plants are a good couple months old or more now, having had a decent veg. Other plants are younger and have not sexed yet. Wishing I’d flowered a couple plants from seed for comparison sake.
Still in one gallon pots.
Your plants are looking really healthy. With all of those branches forming, they’re going to be beasts!
Thanks brother. I’m liking them alot so far. Seems to me there is a bit of the middle eastern gene pool in here. The plants sex real quick after switching to twelve twelve. They have been flowering two weeks now but only pre flowers are forming so far.
Here’s a big female, still in 1 gallon pot. Her twin is a male. Neat red dot on both where all the leaflets meet.
Beautifully symmetrical
From the Shashamene region grown by a Dutch guy who was there for a study research project.Brought some seeds at home.
Uganda is nearing the end of week 7. The plants that had less veg time are less developed ( flowers)than those that had a long veg. They are also taller and have no intersex issues. I have stayed ahead on the up potting with these and I agree with @YoBigdaddy that with this one in that container size needs to be on the larger size, gaining in size by increments or you’ll have a tree on your hands.
Pictured above are a few photos from one of the hermaphrodite plants I found. You can expect to find a few, but personally I think it’s worth the extra effort. These plants are beautiful … similar to Thai in some regards.
Strange lines. Almost methodical even
Two hours later…
The Uganda pole pheno has a massive top cola. It’s still flowering hard at week 13 end now
And here is a mistreated South Congo…left in a window for a month now due to hermie issues.
Nice! Any scents off her?
@InTheWoods Just started to get turpentine smells. This one will go longer than any of the others i think. There was no resin to speak of until the last couple weeks either.
Interesting smell, Thanks for the insights on her.
What would be cool is a sugar leaf testing thing when you snip off a leaf, insert into said contraction. Then reads out terp profiles/percentages. As the weeks go by and checking at different later stages to see if those profiles morph, stay constant, become more robust, etc.
For the South Congo, What are you plans with her?
How does the types from Uganda on this site compare to Uganda mamba from the landrace team?
The 2 Uganda mambas that I grew seemed totally different upstates is much chunkier mine looked more like this not my pic just one that looks similar
Both I had where fully pollinated and 50% of seeds grew outside the seed pod with a lot of twin seeds. @Upstate what she smelling like.
I was just checking for purity. it’s getting tossed. Hermie. Bad type of hermie and I have plenty more seeds
I’ve only grown this one but I would say the mamba can be found in here. I don’t know if I found it but it’s definitely in the ball park. I think any of the Buganda tribe weed has Mamba phenos. The smells are exact. Fuel, Turpentine and Sour blueberry.
@Jimdoors looks like Muang Sing Laotian. Is that a Mamba pheno? The pictures I saw from the guy that sold the landrace team their Uganda had chunky bud plants, but with a few that looked like yours, not yet flowering.
Good eye it is laotian I just searched landrace sativa and picked one that looked like the 2 Ugandas maybe it’s that I fully seeded.
That looks sweet. Going to have some nice growth.
