I paid 150 bucks for your beans a few weeks ago. I never saw beans crack in less than 5 hrs and every single bean sprouted and are jumping at my lights. I only lost one or two seedling due to my own error. So far extremely impressed and worth every hour of my time to pay for it. You get what you pay for in this World I have learned that lesson in my 44 years here. I see good things in the future for good breeders regardless of the price of the gear. Quality requires work. I would never buy a cheap seed company’s product it just does not feel safe to me. Sharing and trading are different. I want proven quality or I don’t play.

Federally every marijuana plant is illeagal but under drug laws a cannabis plant containing less than whatever amount of thc is hemp because lawyer/politicians are not biologists. Just make sure you are buying hemp clones *wink wink.

I think I mentioned in a diff thread but I run my seedmoms until they start eating themselves. It’s 6 weeks minimum post pollination.
If you see a seed with a microfracture on the edge that’s why. This generally leads to excellent germ rates.
Not everybody goes that long and in general good luck asking the breeder how long they run their seedmoms and get a reply lol.
At least half of the seeds are under ripe at 4 weeks and that seems to be general guidance people pass around.
All of this results in about 11 or 12 week runs. Most won’t invest the time but some will.
That’s about an extra month on top of general guidance…

Well said @Tonygreen

I just wanted to thank you.
Thank you for sticking to your goal, even through hardships. Thank you for documenting everything, all the way back since your sour bubble thread at the mag.
That is truly a beautiful thing.
You inspired many and continue to do so everyday. Thank you brother.

I always do the same, and even will go 6–8 weeks. Gives you nice mature seeds. It’s disappointing getting light colored seeds from breeders that don’t wait. Often they will germinate fine but not always.

Slap on a high price, slap any type of cannabis pic on the ad, and then add a stupidly higher price, and watch the FOMO turn rational thinking humans into wild eyed must have walking dead character’s.

Do you find feminized seeds take longer to ripen?

I’m at 6 weeks on the reversed Golden Goat and not a single ripe seed anywhere on the plant.

I keep breaking open bracts to check development and they are going, but very slowly.

Yes a lot of times. I also notice fem pollen may take longer to “activate” a pistil whereas with a reg male I can see browning or shriveling the next day a lot of times.

I will say sometimes it’s dependant on the mom. Karma told me headbanger seeds stay light brown. I took those bubblehead super long, that’s why some have an edge crack. Still brown doh!!!

As social media has changed and the community has spread out more its been harder to be on the forums as much. Tons of content at icmag and zlabs. I check in here fairly often but instagram is the best place for current events as much as it sucks as a platform!

Farm looks awesome, lots of work but that will keep you young!

You know now that you mention that, I remember some Snowhigh seeds that were greenish in color, and light brown. Fully mature but not brown.

I’m thinking more of the immature seeds I have gotten from a couple breeders. Where the seeds were not fully mature. I do love it when I get nice fully mature seeds.

Seems like seeded buds take a bit longer to dry. And then if they are heavily seeded you wind up with husks and not worth smoking. The seed husks on developed seeds in a bud can be a target for bad stuff as they start degrading on mature seeds. It’s a fine line to have good cured bud and have mature seeds  Two different parts of the same plant can work though.

Thanks a bunch I couldn’t get a straight answer on that question looked everywhere.

The pollinated plant is at like 85 days, every pistil brown, and is looking like Keith Richards lol.

I’ll wait until the seeds are coming out of bracts I suppose, looks like I might have to wait another 3 weeks+ if need be.
