The future of cannabis is not out there, it’s in our gardens.

May I ask…If you are not permitted to grow or are growing too much…would they try to jail you today?
How do you feel federal legalization would change that?

You do know it is already happening.
This is just one there are more.

Hmm??? don’t remember saying that…LOL

Could this not be achieved without federal legalization?

So are you saying…they are supposed to let everyone out if federal legalization passes?
I did not here that???

Legalization has not stopped people from going to jail.

Sure… at some point weed will be totally legal… but I can guarantee you one thing… growing it yourself will be a felony, probably with a stiff sentence…always remember rule #2, never underestimate the other guy’s greed.

It would be good to make sure this is written into the laws they pass or will you even have a choice?

Some are not able to grow now, do you feel legalization will fix this for those that can not grow?

I think it will be a race to the bottom. Some states will have restrictions in the beginning but after a few years they will be removed or ignored.

No but the number and the severity has gone way down. I imagine that when federally legal it will be even less as all states come onboard

Actually I think this kinda proves my point. they are buying a drug company that manufactures a specific drug for bowel stuff using cannabanoids.

I think the greater threat will be from tobacco companies (or maybe alcohol if they try and push edible/drinking) for stuff that would impact the actual everyday consumption market.

If big cannabis gets their way the above will be a reality.
@Magrowers
Do you feel that this sort of reality would change your opinion?
You see there is a good chance it will go the other way.
Why do I say this.
There is billions of dollars going into cannabis lobbying now, more if it goes to a federal vote.

All that money will buy the laws that we will have to deal with.

I can hear the public opinion now…

“Aww, poor little pothead can’t grow his own weed, get a job mother fucker!”
Folks are saying that now, I did a whole thread on how cannabis culture has changed, some even refer to the pre-legalization folks as scummy drug dealers.
