Federal legalization in the USA, what does the future hold for cannabis?

The sad thing is…this sort of thinking is the new normal.
I will try to post a link to the thread I started at another place.

Here is the link

I think the best thing would be total decriminalization, Everyone can grow all they want, free weed for everyone! That would really fuck things up for the corporation’s though… so that will NEVER happen! Lol :joy:

I think that genie is out of the bottle. The fed screwed that up. If they were the vanguard on this they could have controlled it better. I don’t see feds making homegrow illegal when so many states already allow it. States aren’t following fed law now…why would that suddenly change when it’s now “less federally illegal” I think they will just legalize/deschedule it and let the states go crazy. Then race to the bottom.

Dude… on a federal level it’s already illegal. And why haven’t they rescheduled it yet btw?

Just a 10x10 room is good enough. Lol
Sorry I didn’t see the response. We are all friends.

I said vote no to legalization or else…that was 2014
It was then that I suggested total decriminalization instead of legalization.

My logic was…
We were lied to about why hemp was made illegal in the first place.
I simply suggest to totally wipe the illegal law off the books.

That is what should really happen.
We choose to obey an illegally formed law to this day, we tolerate it when we should not.

because they are too busy trying to take away rights, if they take away basic rights they don’t have to reschedule anything. VOTE VOTE VOTE :peace_symbol:

BTW
If I were running for Canna Prez. my motto would be …

A plant in every yard!

Would it not be cool to pass your neighbor a paper shopping bag full of weed you have no use for cause you grew too much.
Like tomatoes are now.

They are worth something just not a bunch for a pound…LOL

That is my dream.
As far as not getting canna VD, it seems word gets around fast, that you are a dirty wench, no offense ladies, you know they are out there.
Anyway
Once you are labeled as dirty no one will go to you for $1 clones.
You will stick with who you trust.
Unless you get desperate and need to make a run downtown to get you some…clones that is.

@shag I was a no guy all along. I was a minority too. When 215 passed in Ca, it took about 20 minutes to realize it was a mistake. Cat was out of the bag, and the bag was gone.

I do know this as truth, I was screaming it on the worlds biggest canna site.
I was ridiculed by skunk face and all his buds.
They called me chicken little, still I cried “wolf…Wolf!”
Most just laughed, some had like comments, but stayed away for fear of being ridiculed or whatever.

Some still don’t see it coming, some never will I guess.
But just look at what history has shown us about big ag.
This crop is worth way more than any other crop they control.
I feel it is only natural for them to want/need to control this one too.

Like any personal freedom/rights once they are gone, they are very tough to get back.

Now more than ever it would seem they are trying to take away rights of all sorts.

This guy gets it.

whole things a cluster, some of these states are doing really stupid stuff…which makes me happy fed legalization has dragged it’s feet.

for example - what if the whole country adopted Washington State’s laws? No homegrow for anybody EDIT thank you mrgreenthumb for pointing out that Washington does have limited homegrow for registered medical patients, no vertical integration (you can’t sell what you grow), grower/retail/state split the kitty on all sales into even 1/3s. Just on a moral standpoint what a fucked up situation. the tax man gets as much money as the guy who farmed and harvested?

some states have FORCED veritcal integration where the only people who can grow pot are the people with retail operations.

a lot of states have super limited number of licenses and run ridiculous shell games on who gets the best shot at a “lottery”… like affirmative action people get more pingpong balls for the lottery. pants on head. the stories out of illinois are brutal.

personally, watching all of it unfold has destroyed any remaining faith I had in blue politics. top down control freaks who’s academic plans fall apart in the real world. red team market attitudes would maybe serve us better here, but those headcases have been anti-pot my whole life. feels hopeless.

even outside of the legal wrangling…it seems like pot manufacturing cannot scale while maintaining quality. the marketing and attitudes are downright false and damaging with all the winking around “medical” - would make The Tobacco Institute blush. I think we’re in for at least another decade of “figuring it out”, and that it gets a lot worse before it gets better - if it ever gets better at all.

absolute number one priority is protecting homegrow.
