First attempt at growing outdoor

Put these out a bit ago.

2x Acupulco gold from clones
2x Gorilla berries (1 clone one from bean)

Have some reveg to deal with, but here’s to hoping!

An update. One of each strain is still struggling with a bit of reveg. But they all look healthy, and I have done nothing to them but water them, and couple sprays with neem oil to knock back some invaders.

I wish I could do that outside :frowning:

Did some light trimming.

Just gave a light trim of the thinnest branches, and a bloom feeding. The tallest girl is over 6 ft now.

Hey very nice job for a first outdoor grow! Keep up the good work bud! Have u been doing any compost teas or just in ground and water only?

They are in the ground, in a mix of homemade compost and promix. I have not done compost teas. Most of my watering is captured rainwater, and I sometimes add fox farm nutes at about 1/4 to 1/2 strength to the rain barrel.
One of my girls is getting some leaf curl though, and I have not figured out why…

Heat? Seems like a distinct possibility depending on where you are.

An update to the diary. Dealing with mites, and one plant with odd skimpy buds (the same one as the leaf curl above). Otherwise still looking decent on the other girls, mites be dammed.

The mite struggle continues. And now I also know to stake my plants. The girls seemed sturdy, but storms knocked down 2 of 4. One has a broken stem. It was the one with the worst buds from mites, so she is probably for the compost pile.

The gorilla berries are still standing strong, with good buds. Need to keep up with these stupid bugs though. Will go heavy on the DE and use predatory mites next year.

Bummer about the storm damage. I made the same mistake last year assuming they were sturdy when they weren’t quite sturdy enough.

Looking frosty

What latitude are you at? They’re moving quickly.

Latitude 38. Central va.
