Theyāll make seeds just some of them donāt reverse for s1 very well. The other side to the whole conversation (and if youāve never been on the sour diesel thread itās a warzone over there 
) is that finding sour diesel in any of the seeds produce by breeding sour diesel is nigh impossible.
To be frank though my terrible outdoor grow left me with motorbreath 15, sour diesel, and LSGTK that smell of hay, and the most gas/fuel smelling super silver haze. Like if I didnāt label the bags Iād have thought it was the SD.
Dude that super silver she smells phenomenal. I grew one this summer also. Got a cut. From my buddy.

The only way to guarantee what youāve got is get a clone.
Edit 2 and donāt mention which clone it is around the purests. No offense to any of the folks that actually know what theyāre talking about. I am a plebian who is just happy to grow some smoke.

@Upstate is probably the most informed member I have come across personally for any of the landraces. They might be able to hook you up with that info.
Iām also getting into the sativa landraces. My current grow is going to let me know if Iām ready to actually pop the shelavathi I got from @Tracker . I sure hope so. Iām dying to get those sweet pure sativa highs.

I posted about it a while ago. I got directed towards ace seed. I think. But Iād rather support someone who personally grew and seeded one rather than a big box store per say 
The Sheelavathi was grown for the co-op by @Oldjoints with seeds I got from a contact in Tamil Nadu, India.
It is challenging to grow in a tent for sure. Look in @BigMike55ās thread. Search for āsheelavathiā.

Theres a few Panama Reds out there now. Hippie cannabis has a 71, i picked up a mid seventies red cross version but donāt recall who i got it from. There is a cryptic labs version, drgreenthumb, Coastal, Snowhigh and if you can find it, the 1974 Red Cross version, same collector as what i just grew.
Iāve grown the snowhigh Double Panama, the 71, the mid seventies panama and the Ace seeds version. They all have their positives and negatives.
