Foreigner Goes Legal

Day 70 - Harvest Day

I took everything down today. It took about 4 hours. I watched Battlefield Earth while doing it because it’s a long boring movie.

I didn’t take as many photos as I’d like because I got caught up in the process and only have one set of hands.

Here are the final photos of the California Orange Bud. She is the prettiest one of all.

And here are my weapons:

And here she is being taken apart:

And here are the best photos of the shishkaberry. She is very purple.

And a few final pics:

There is also a ton of trim and popcorns drying in the bathtub. It’s full

Have a lovely day!

Good day all:

While waiting for the harvest to dry I thought I’d show you what I’ve started up again for the next run.

First off, I got some new glasses that make the blurple lighting in my veg cabinet much more tolerable:

Top right is NL fem.
Bottom right is WW reg

Left is subcool ace of spades/querkle from a generous OG benefactor.

As you can see they started out their lives as minor mutants but grew out of it pretty quick.

My plan is to clone the NL and WW. The NL to make more plants for numbers just in case. The WW to see if it’s male or female. I’m going to take my chances with the purple spades.

It’s just about time to fire up the second half of my veg cab.

Have a lovely day

Happy weekend all -

It’s been 4 days since the chop and I believe the smallest least dense buds are just about ready for jars.

Here is my highly scientific way of testing the humidity level of the buds:

Loving the way the purple looks with the flash on

Have a lovely day

Good day all.

They’ve been hanging long enough. I trimmed off the stems and everything is going into jars.

Here it is all laid out

And here’s a cheater shot with the flash on to accentuate the trichs

I will do a final weigh in a bit.

Have a lovely day

Good day all:

Well, after several months, here is the final result:

The final tally:
89g - California Orange Bud
83g - Shishkaberry 1
105g - Shishkaberry 2
14g - Popcorns/samples

Total - 291g

This was grown under a Mars Hydro TSL2000 which is a true 300 watt light.

This gives me .97g per watt, just a hair under 1g per watt.

I’m very pleased with the result. I was hoping/expecting 8oz and ended up with near 10oz.

So there you go, you can grow good quantities of quality cannabis under these lights.

This being said, the manufacturer claims this light can produce 1.5g per watt. This run was far from smooth, and there are heavier yielding strains out there

I think 1.5g per watt is an attainable goal, but everything would have to be perfect perfect for that to be the case.

So, you have one happy Foreigner here, sitting on his laurels with a grin.

Oh, and I timed my veg cycle almost perfect too, I think I can flip to 12/12 again in a week!

Have a lovely day!

The mars hydro looks like a nice light system

the smoke reports should be interesting

Thanks @green_raver!

The preliminary smoke is very promising. The good flavours are starting to come out.
The shishkaberry has a muted grape/earthy flavour and the California orange has a lemony chocolate/coffee orange flavour.

I’m looking forward to when they really shine!

I have taken some cuttings off of vegging plants that have just begun to show sex.

They got a slow start, I believe because the temps can get a little low at night.

This is in my diy bubble cloner. An airstone a pump, a Rubbermaid, and some hydroton. I used weak veg ferts in the water.

Day 5

Day 12

Day 16

This is the one clone that has fully rooted. The others are almost there. They have little root buds so they shouldn’t be too long now.

The WW has responded better than the NL. The NLs are the really ugly ones.

Have a lovely day.

Since I’ve got the day all to myself I decided to flip to 12/12. Woo day 1!

Did my final transplants. Fiddled with the timer to make sure I did it right.

I’ve got a female white widow, a female northern lights, and a female querkle/ace of spades. There’s one left that’s has yet to reveal itself. Looking for a male for chucking.

The cloning machine is still in use but visible roots on all of them.

I’ll post some real pics later but this is the stem of the querkle/spades. She’s a big one.

Have a lovely day!

The WW has been vegged for 8 weeks.
Got some poor germ rates so popped some different beans when I saw how few plants I had. The new plants are 2 weeks behind and have just shown sex. I decided to flip as soon as they showed.

Here is the WW

Have a lovely day

Good day all:

This is the NL. She is also 8 weeks from seed. She is also a nute whore who just gobbles up the ferts. If she’s not fed, she’s not happy.

She’s a bit crammed into the tent but this should give you an idea…

Have a lovely day!

Good day all.

I posted a bit of this in another thread but figured I’d put it all in one place.

Smoke Reports -

California Orange Bud:

Coffee orange nose. Diesel exhaust smoke.
Nice up buzz.

Shishkaberry:

Nose is grapes and earth. Smoke is a bit more berry and something I can’t quite figure out.
She is very purple.

Both are pleasant daytime smoke. Now I just need to get some Indicas to round out my supply.

Have a lovely day

Good day all:

Had a minor mishap with my timer but all sorted now.

Here is the pic of the purple spade. I topped her and missed and ended up with a FIM. She seemed to stall a bit but then I figured out she was putting out so many tops - it’s a lot for her to handle. She’s just fine and I like her structure:

Purple Spade

Here is a shot of the tent on day 2 of flower. From left to right - WW, PS, NL

End of week one. Everything looks good. Stretching nicely and I expect they will keep going for a bit.

The NL really wants her calcium and I’m doing everything I can to keep up with her.

Overview:

I’m pleased to report that the final plant in question is a male - exactly what I was hoping for as I only have room for three full sized plants anyway.

Here is the neighbourhood pubescent stud.

Have a lovely day

Highly scientific pollen collection system:

I’ve never done this before.

I’m not worried about cross contamination because the big one is going to drop pollen first as it’s much more developed.

Have a lovely day!
