It’s been 4 hours since I put these males horizontally under the light. Look at how fast they’ve gone vertical!
Day 15
All is well in the tent. The NL is still using a lot of Nutes and I hesitate to bump them up for fear of going too far. I will do so incrementally until I see just a little tip burn.
The WW is a trooper and seems to be relatively low maintenance.
The PS seems a bit delayed but chugging along. It wasn’t getting the best light for awhile.
I’ve added a California orange X critical mass. She’s very small and won’t amount to much but she is now in her final 1 gallon home.
Overview
WW
PS and CO/CM. PS is in back.
And the NL with approx 20 tops.
Have a lovely day
Looks clean and beautiful in there @Foreigner
What’s the PS?
Thanks @Swe-can!
The PS is a cross of Querkle and Ace of Spades.
I’m just too lazy to write it out all the time
Haha I know what you mean ! Good luck with all of them !
I really love to see the end product of the PS. Seen a couple of querkle but never the ace of spades
Thanks!
Stay tuned - she currently smells a little like bleach
Good day all -
A few male pics
Best pic
Main “cola” (is this technically a cola?)
Ready to pop!
It’ll be sticky in there soon
Good day all -
Today we have a good example of overwatering and recovery.
I gave my WW a little more water than usual to give her a half flush. She didn’t like it.
Immediately after watering:
Plus 1 hour after watering:
Plus 5 hours. She’s praying again:
I gave the NL the same treatment and she didn’t care one bit.
Have a lovely day
It’s almost time for chucking. I pulled the males out at the perfect time. 4 days later and they would have started popping in the tent.
And this is who he’s going to impregnate.
Have a lovely day
Alright! We’ve got visible pollen for collection.
I’m going to wait a day or two to collect just a little more and then the fun begins!
Have a lovely day
Good day all:
It’s chucking time!
As soon as the light went on I gave the male a nice final shake to remove as much pollen as possible from the plant. I then removed as much plant matter as I could, and carded the pollen into a neat little pile. I then transferred this pollen into a container.
I then marked special branches with tags and grabbed a q-tip for dusting.
I then rubbed all the pistils with the pollen. I expect I got a little extra pollen into the mix but no matter - more seeds!
And here is the male ready for the trash heap.
Have a lovely day
Skeet skeet! Some good stock there I bet the offspring will be WW and its progeny have always been a favorite of mine!
Thanks Trevor!
I really like all of the strains involved so I’m hoping they team up like Voltron into one super strain.
Good day all -
This is day one after pollination. The pistils on the area that received pollen are already shriveling up. Looks like the pollen took!
Non-pollinated Bud. Look at the perky pistils.
Pollinated bud. Note shriveling.
Seeds be forming !
Have a lovely day
Looks like the beginnings of a porn shoot in the not to distant future!
Good day all -
I had some time to myself (read: lots) and so I’ve been a whirlwind of activity. I uppotted some unhappy babies.
I also found this and decided to have a little fun. Ordinarily I would save it for bubble but figured it wasn’t worth the effort for such a small amount -
So I turned it into this -
And then this-
And then I threw some in to oven to decarboxylate for fun and got this -
I’m pleased but not elated with the results. I sifted a little too long I think and got a bit too much plant matter into the mix.
Oh well. It’s ok, smokes fine, hits good, but it’s not A grade.
Have a lovely day
Thats some heavy trim, it dose not look 60Gs worth, cant believe how much kief you got from it either, nice haul must have been very frosty. Did you use a proper screen to sift it, I have over a kilo of trim to do something with other than RSO.
60g +/- that’s a big freezer bag so maybe the scale is weird.
It was very frosty. To the point where the static electricity was sticking the resin to the bag. More than once I’ve taken a swipe with my finger and packed a bowl.
It was a pretty good return. Around 3.5g but to be fair I over shook it so some of that weight is undesirable plant material.
I didn’t use a screen exactly. I put it in a bubble bag and sort of shook it like I was panning for gold. Sort of like flipping onions in a Sautée pan I suppose.
I would do it again but I would only have shaken it for half as long. My thinking was “I’ll shake with one arm until it gets tired and then the other arm until it get tired.” I should have stopped at the first arm.
Ahh I was thinking more sandwich bag size lol.
That sounds like an idea, I have a large metal strainer with a fine mesh, might have a play at that, and see what I can get
And it was fun too!
Now that I think about it in retrospect I could have done 3 grades. Top shelf, mids, cooking. That probably would have worked.
