Did it damp off?

Yup, sadly.

This is why this time is the most stressful for me, I always screw something up, lol

Damn man, youā€™re waaaaay ahead of meā€¦ Iā€™m down to 1 as well, but it barely has its first set of the leaves and they are kinda shriveled. This is when I wish I actually had a green thumb and knew what the hell I was doing, lol. Until theyā€™re in the system and rooted, Iā€™m clueless, and that includes cloning :person_shrugging:

Yay fish, lol

@luxton it seems the 24-26Ā° dome with heat mat under in living soil just seemed to be the ticket this said the cotyledon leave were starting to get fuzzy due to the warm humid environment and I have a ziploc bag over them as well so they have a super cozy moist space to grow in. Iā€™ll have to pay very close attention over the next little bit.

I have a heat mat (~31C) under the rack theyā€™re sitting on, so I they should be right around the right tempā€¦ Iā€™ll throw the lid back on top, the one on the left folded over when the lid was on so I got nervous about how wet things were and took it off :man_facepalming: ā€¦ thanks for the tips!! I want to at LEAST get into growing this with you!

If it doesnā€™t make it weā€™ll just go for round 2. Also I have about 1/2" lift off the heat mat to attempt to reduce the heat which seemed to work.

I started at the same time as you guys. What a fun grow along

@Nugslinger you and @Fortman420 are kickin my butt! Mine have been covered overnight, and the one thatā€™s really alive is looking a little better :crossed_fingers:

@Nugslinger yours are way ahead!! Looking good and some awesome genetics to boot. Going to be some serious frost in that bunch. You going for a sensi crop or a bit of that and seed production

@luxton @Fortman420 love this 1v1 thread. no mean feat to have one of the best threads on THE best site in the known universe.

I have an honest query though. why not just grow the same cut? P.S.

Iā€™m about as good at rooting something as I am at getting them out of a seed, lol.

I really donā€™t have a green thumb, itā€™s 100% the fish, haha

Been stuck buying weed online lately. Doing a fem run to fill some jars. Wish i knew the flowering time of 99% of my seed stash lol. Hopefully these will be quick. No seed runs for the next few grows

cloning isnā€™t hard. putter away with it a little bit, and youā€™ll get it no prob, vital skill with BS plant counts

I could try to make some extra cuttings and ship some over but unfortunately with it getting below zero on a constant basis and cant trust the postal company to be efficient it would be wasted effort.

@luxton. Take a cut of any plant you presently have and take a jam jar toss in a air stone with plain water. Keep the cut tip just above the water line. The bubbles when bursting on the surface will keep the tip moist but never soaked. You can also crush up a bit of an asprin and toss it in the water to help with root development, works awesome!
Iā€™ve had about a 90% success rate this way. Im not great at cloning either but this was the way I went with as it was the easiest and least hands on. I only looked at them when it was water change time. Bubbleponics is simple and effective.

But back to the cutting situation I can make some and get them shipped out if thats easier and the same cut. Will just have to send it via air to avoid shipping delay

@Nugslinger, Iā€™m in the same boat. Im completely out of everything till my outdoor is cured up.

How do you tell when itā€™s time to change the waterā€¦if I may ask :slightly_smiling_face:

every other day should be plenty good, if not overkill.

plants other than canna exist. could do some low-stakes practice with a habanero plant or something too. pretty close.

Thanks for answering ā€¦ This teq is simple and should be doable for me.
Now to find something I want to clone
