@Fortman420 vs @luxton grow off, for fun, and bud!

@globalhead, i just changed out the water every week. These plants are so resilient and they just keep moving along

I did actually build a cloner, but the stems always drown. @C_in_CT suggested I lower the sprays, so Iā€™ll be giving that a shot with some Blueberry clips shortly hereā€¦ :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:. If I can get that working, Iā€™m laughing. I just need to get some tent floor space to put down a warming mat to put the cloner on (the water got pretty cold the last time I ran it) and I can give it a shotā€¦ I think I may clear some room today (itā€™s butter making day here :grin:).

Ive done the cloner in both my mechanical room (a bit warmer but bucket sat directly on the cement to keep the water a bit cooler. When I had it running in my 3x3 the tent was a constant 18Ā° which i can assume slowed down root growth but I was more worried about causing root rot with a warmer water temps

Iā€™m going to bleach and clean up my cloner and give it another shot with some Blueberry cutsā€¦ :crossed_fingers:

Thanks for all the tips everyone!! I freaking love the place

Super late Sunday update

Shes got some fat little leaves on her. No smell that i can detect. I was testing out her flexability and seeing when i can start to train her and looks like i just need to get some wind on her to assist with the process on strengthening.
Tomorrow Iā€™m putting them into th 4x2 to start their grow journey. Going to run a wicking system for the Purple Romulan to avoid any unwanted drying out and will be feeding her with GreenGro Pridelands organic amendments and compost teas. @luxton how you doing?

Iā€™m not 100% sure my little one is going to make itā€¦ Iā€™m nursing it, my fingers are crossed, but I dunnoā€¦ Iā€™ll get a pic in the morning, my back is playing games with my legs today, I havenā€™t been able to do the stairs today :person_facepalming:

My 1 lil baby, trying to survive

Sheā€™not looking great, but has a solid root, so Iā€™m not sure hereā€¦ Anyone think this lil one is going to survive?

never use those. keep it simple. solo cup. dirt. worm castings. get em in dirt asap. just stick it right in. they know what to do, you just gotta get out of their way

Can you move it to its final home sooner than later? Just see what happens?

I can, but right now theyā€™re not getting any system water as itā€™s too strong for lil babies, so putting them right into the system could actually kill them too (done that once before, oops, lol)

I used to years and years ago and wanted to see if Iā€™d have any better luck than with straight rockwoolā€¦ The results seem obvious :person_facepalming:

Gotcha, I was just thinking maybe it wants some nutrients sooner than others. I donā€™t know, I have started literally two seeds ever. I keep thinking about sharing about my approach, but saying ā€œitā€™s been super successful for me!ā€ while true is also a sample size of 2, so Iā€™ll see if it works this next time as well and go from there.

Hopefully, youā€™ll catch up here and she will survive. Got to be careful spraying your clone dome and your clones. Most people overdo it. A lot of times youā€™re better off to have a misting on the bottom of the clone tray itself then you are to mist it on the clone dome and never directly onto the plants. The humidity on the bottom of the tray will raise the entire clone dome humidity to well within needed range for clones. For seedlings even dryer. I do not mist at all for seedlings. I just close the dome and let the substrate create moisture. Love the grow off ! Cheers !!!

Dry her back. Iā€™m sure sheā€™ll make it and the others in that pic too but Iā€™d dry them back by a lot.

Iā€™ve killed a ton of seeds and clones recently. Itā€™s always the same. I have a super healthy looking clone or sapling. Water and boom 20 minutes or less later sheā€™s fallen over wilted to hell. I quit watering them and just mist them until they start to grow again. Itā€™s saved me several clones now.

To save editing again Iā€™ll put this here. Squeeze the cocoa puck until it stops dripping and let it that way for a day or two. You may be surprised!

Thatā€™s awesome, Iā€™ve been looking at the bottom and itā€™s definitely very wet. I tried aqueezing another one, but I ended up snapping the root or something, it kneeled over and died in an hour :person_facepalming::person_facepalming:.

Iā€™m 45 or something, and still working on my fine motor skills apparently, lol.

I did put this one in a tray of its own to try and dry a bit, you have no idea how happy I am to hear I may be on the right trackā€¦ Gah, stress sucks, lol. Iā€™ll keep a close eye on her to make sure she doesnā€™t dry out TOO much, butā€¦

Fingers crossed :crossed_fingers:. I donā€™t want this to be over before it really began.

 Iā€™m 43 in the same boat! Youā€™ll be surprised but when you think itā€™s too dry give it a sprits of water and let it go another day. The roots really start searching for water then.
