GC flowers Cap Junky and Chem 91

Nice! Congrats bro! You’ll love it I’m sure

Hope all had an enjoyable Thanksgiving.

So here is the 3x3 now that we have something to look at. They are doing better and recovering from the ph meter failure. 13 days from flip…

2x T-1000, which I get more excited about as time passes.

A Tropicanna Cherry…

And a Rudeboi OG…

I’m very appreciative of the above cuts, very cool OG’r went through quite a bit to get them in my hands… and I’m am very appreciative and within his debt.

In the 4x4 I have one Staten Island Chem poking from the growpito, awaiting the replacement in other container to break surface. I have 3 Chem 91 showing good roots in cloner, nicest two will transfer to fill tent.

Having trouble rooting the T1000, TC and rudeboi cuts. Again the ph issue… which gives me woody stems… is kicking my ass. I’m rethinking aerocloners. I see great results from guys using 1" square rockwool cubes… I may try that soon. Cheap given the cost of clones.

EDIT: 24 hours later I moved 2x Chem 91 to 4x4. The 2nd SIC has broken surface overnight giving me a full tent. Cloner is showing beginning of rooting on at least one cutting of each strain, looks like I’ll luck out with a mom of everything.

No changes to the revegging cap junky but I wasn’t expecting any yet.

Im a lucky dude. At least this run

No boy parts that I can see

Thought I seen a nanner but it’s these greasy buds pushing new pistils.

I ran 3 cj91s and one skunk. All girl stuff here boss.

That’s good news @Boozer they look great too.

Got a PM from @Boozer this am, he found a few nanners on one of 4 plants? at day 60. Keep a good eye guys…

So here’s the 4x4 with 2x Chem 91 clones and 2x Staten Island Chem seedlings. It will be a few weeks before I get roots to bottom of container, then I’ll swap in the autopot trays. Just hand feeding till then.

I swapped in the new Mars Hydro FC3000 EVO last night, currently at 50% but ill be progressively turning it up the next week. @MarsHydro This is my first MH product, seems like a solid light.

My buddy @LoveDaAutos tried talking me into the FC4800 but I couldn’t swing it this time of year.

I’m wondering if any pollen would be sterile like the D cut. But at 60 days when noticed does it really matter? How much could it seed the plant that close to harvest… I go 80ish.

My concern would be viable pollen with younger flowering plants in the vicinity.

What is that medium? Something like rock wool? Real wool?

Yes, similar product. Reusable.

The top layer, an inch or two… is dry product. It helps keeping green algae and gnats at bay. If topfed I have to remove the dry layer and put back. Not messy or difficult at all honestly.

I do the above for moms and clones. Then moved to autopots for veg/flower.

The 4 cap junky taken down a bit over a week ago, 1lb 3/4 oz.

Since I started stripping anything below the trellis I have seen greater yields, from 1/2 to 3/4 lb to 1lb consistently. Ended up with more cola’s and less dead space in canopy. I’m sold and will no longer just run plants as is.

I believe it to be partly genetics, but iv cut out most popcorn or larf. Much quicker and easier trimming, chunkier bag appeal.

Definitely agree
I strip down everything from the top 3 node down at the 1st week of flower

And prune as needed

#1 at day 38f, #2 RIP, #3 day 21f, and #4 at day 12f. I know, confusing

#1 cranking out frost and loads of stink despite my terrible experimental soil mix. Definitely a testament to some strong genetics there. #1’s smell (with #3 and #4’s help) is overwhelming everything else in the tent. Other flowering plants were starting to pick up their smell just by being in the same room. DOMINANT lol. Classic chem smells. I have no idea what Cap Junky Cut smells like, but this smells classic chem to me: dank, rotting basement smells, skunk, maybe a hint of some sort of solvent.

#3 giving me somewhat similar vibes to the bud itself as #1, but the plant structure is much, much less viney/stretchey. Smell also similar to #1, just much more faint, as it’s much “younger”. Early frost, early smell always bodes well. Yield may be so-so, but, fortunately, that happens to be my lowest priority.

Looks like it’s going well @Redrum92

Not confusing at all, I hate trimming and would love a staggered harvest. Trellising is difficult if the one in the back is ready first… So I generally do a full tent.

Having little popcorn or larf down low helps in that regard.

Lost the cap junky, reveg wasn’t showing any new growth at all and buds were severely crispy. I had forgotten I let the res run dry before harvest… however iv been told I can get her back when ready.

So I’ll concentrate on the newer cuts for now. I have 3 of 4 plants not looking up to my expectations, no doubt from the ph mishap early. Next run in the 3x3 will be 2x TC and 2x T1000. I have rooted moms and a few more clones just about ready for transfer to the autopots for next round. Here’s some terrible pics, but I promised to show the bad with the good… so here ya have it.

I’m doing some reading on the Growpito/Mapito and picking the brain of a member with experience with it. Thanks @ifish

Here’s the 4x4. 2x 91 clones and 2x SIC s1 from bean. Looking good with new growth on the clones after transplant. I plan to show this tent all through veg for those who appreciate it… and for those interested in a thorough comparison.

From here forward I’ll be running the ph at 5.6 through veg, and 5.8 in flower. Give that a shot…

I may treat myself to ph monitors after the holidays, be nice to know at a glance instead of forgetting to check.

I’m watching this ? I’m looking for a reusable source that I could re use in my octopots over and over again . I may give it a try

@Papalag I would suggest @ifish and @eskobar for a better showing… I’m baring my ass here through this learning curve. I wasn’t a long time grower to begin with and sometimes wonder if I bit off more than I can chew or started without enough knowledge.

I’ll probably pick your brain in person!

Get or make a flood table 4-5 inch deep
I flood and drain once every 2.3 days and I only ph the Rez just befor I flood

Flood and drain takes 5 mins

Wouldn’t be hard to set up a mini tray to flood and drain one crate , to try it out

F and d is where mapito shines

That is a possibility bro. But I gotta believe these autopots will be fine once I get things dialed in.

And educate myself more. That’s a step I have a hard time with, taking the time to read and actually grasp it.

Set up a mini one crate table , and see how it all falls into place

Any questions just ask : )

And @Papalag 1-2 inch rock wool cubes , you’ve nothin to lose and everything to gain , could be epic , the feeding is the same just 5.6 veg stretch and then 5.8 flower , simples
