GC flowers Cap Junky and Chem 91

Ok took some pics this morning of cap junky 1&2. This site is a little different than the others I’m on. So it’s gonna take some getting used to.

Your in for a treat. Those Cap Junky s1 beans I sent ya were made by lovedaauto’s, quite a few members here knocked those plants out of the park.

I’m sure you’ll do the same judging by your past grows over the years.

I think you will like it here as you get more familiar with the layout and members.

Couple question on seed making, appreciate any input I might get.

The CJ91… a Cap Junky cut hit with pollen from a Chem 91 skva cut reversed. I labeled them as an F1 femanized, is that correct?

Say I wanted to selectively eliminate the intersex issues out of my strain. Figuring I would firstly need space… for a decent sized run to take selections from. 50… 100 plants?

In that run I would select plants exhibiting the traits I deem desirable. No intersex, vigerous growth, structure and yield, grower friendly and potency are what I belive I’d be searching out. Am I missing anything?

Is it possible to work a line to eliminate or reduce intersex to near null?

How many generations to reach such a goal?

Any suggestions, advice appreciated. This is just curiosity on my part, no ulterior motives other than maybe leaving a small footprint behind me when gone.

Got my two oldest cjc91s bent over n spread out like a hot breakfast. Just starting the training at 22days. I have another one 3 weeks behind. So impressed with the vigor of these plants.

You guys growing the CJ91 are in for a treat. Watch out for herms right after flipping, i had 1/4, but all 3 finishers were absolutely amazing, and 1 was legitimately maybe the strongest weed I’ve ever grown, both in terms of effects and smell. Very sad my clones failed. Maybe I should start the 2-3 seeds I have left…

“Couple question on seed making…”

IMHO, the important thing is not the nomenclature. Rather, the most important is to communicate how they were made.
For example , when you say “The CJ91… a Cap Junky cut hit with pollen from a Chem 91 skva cut reversed. I labeled them as an F1 femanized, is that correct?” I would say the same thing you said, so it’s clear how they were made, and would also call them F1 feminized seeds. I think some might call them an R1 cross because the pollen donor was reversed and the pollen recipient was not from the same cut as the pollen donor(in which case it would be an S1).

Always good to hear good news. I been anxious to crack these. I only read positive reports.
Would suck to find a hermie I only have 3 going. I’ll prob grab some clones and run it twice. If I find a stanky sugar factory and I’m sure I will.
Running some straight Cap Junky regs later this month.

@greenmonster714 and @Sdoyle both of y’all have nice looking lady’s that are gonna explode…

Good point @Doober that’s why i tend to ramble on when describing what i did.

@Redrum92 Thanks again for the high praise!

Currently trimming, 2x4 has near 3 weeks i think to come down… and i’m out of Cap Junky. The 4x4 is close to flipping and the 3x3 has a bit to veg yet.

Looking at this thread has me excited about my cap junky x Rosetta stoned cross! I’ve never had the pleasure of trying chem 91 . I hear many people say it is their favorite. Definitely will keep my eye on this thread :eye:

I can’t wait to see the end of season pics of her @Boozer your killing it on the other side of the state. Hope our paths cross soon…

And THANK YOU for the fire you have sent to me, it will be shared in our circle.

Iv sampled the CJ91… potent! I am very happy with the results. I was off on yield however, closer to 3/4 lb and more larf than I’m used to. That’s my fault though… I did not prune as much as I normally do prior to flip. Lesson learned during trim… but I didn’t dare toss the small shit in the trim pile, it’s too good to not smoke.

Ok in the 3x3 I have a Chiquite Banana, Mac1, Cap Junky and a Chem D. I’m not doing the D any favors, it’s smaller and slow growth tells me she’s just as finicky as the 91. The varigation is heavy, and a sign she’s not 100%. Tonight I will be topping all and trimming down low… flip soon.

Pics of everything soon…

@GCBudz Im really pleased with these cjc91s. I’m keeping them pretty tied down. None are topped. Both plants less than 6" in height but growing wider everyday. They now have a sister 3 weeks behind. She looks exactly like they did at 10days.

Glad your happy with them, remember to keep an eye on them after flip.

I got lucky where all 4 of mine ran clean.

I’v been meaning to ask, anyone have/had issues with their AC Infinity controllers not showing temp?

After the last run in my 4x4 i turned the power off on the controller, it would never power back up for me. I swapped in a replacement/upgrade 67? and it powered up… just does not show temp. @Ris any input?

Here’s the two different capjunky they’re starting to pack on the frost but not getting much on the nose yet. What kind of smells is everyone getting from capjunky.

I suck at smell descriptions as a smoker but i’v said in the past it’s like walking into a room with mom baking… warm sugar cookie. That’s cured…

Dont get alot of smells in flowering with most strains as i’m a believer in lotsa airflow.

And it just draws so smooth on the inhale, moreso than any other strain iv grown thus far.

I’m glad I didn’t cull the one that didn’t want to do much for the longest time then she found the gas pedal and nailed it. Stacked tighter nodes. Ok that smell for me usually takes longer to develop and really coming along with a proper dry and cure.
