You can add in a leaf…or even a folded, dampened paper towel. Just gotta watch it/etc. For long term my experience is that you want it drier than that to avoid mold. I’ve been pretty lucky but I have seen it in my jars when I tried to play that “60%” game. Anything above 40% is where the nasties live.
The FD bud is DRY. No 60% stuff. DRYAF…and NO terp loss to get there. I am amazed. It will store for years if you put it in cans/mylar. Such a different animal. I was skepticalAF but now I’m sold. I will never hang a plant to dry again.
Down the line we go. 7 plants remain in the hoop. 6 of those are clones I purchased from @Sun-Clone in May. Because I had never purchased clones from them before, I did a look-see/precursory purchase of 2 clones to see how the shipment went/how the clones looked/etc. Happy with the purchase, I then bought a 4-pack special. I’m also very happy with those and am glad I took the chance/leap of faith.

How’s the smell off Bruce,ours had almost fruity bubblegum then changed couple weeks when harvest. Still kinda fruity but bubblegum not so. Thanks man always have insight and knowledge on everything.
This is the rainbowzest we moved it inside few weeks ago to finish up, other one in field just got hit with rot 75% of plant. This one is so far still but getting rot picked out every other day. It’s inside getting sun from window and fan blowing on her. Got to be mold spores floating around but didn’t have any before moving inside. not getting rained on or morning dew figured be safe.
There’s definitely a fruity thing going on w/Bruce here. “Berry” of some sort but not super loud. Sucks yer having so much mold/etc. Once it gets going…yikes.
This is a clone of HSC Blueberry Muffin…also from @Sun-Clone . She is definitely tossin’ out some blueberry/chamomile-like terps. Frosty…with decent-sized colas. Good density. Should be some nice smoke.

Yes @Vegabom . Unlike last season where I ran 45 plants from seed…all popular “breeders” like Greenpoint, Cannarado, Compound, blahblahblah and found only a few real stinkers/worthy plants…all 6 of the SC clones I brought in had terps. I bought the first 2 for $50 each and then did the special you likely did…aka…4 for $98. For me…a solo guy with no growmie friends to trade/source clones from…it was a great experience. So fookin’ easy…
The damn freezer is full of trim/buds again…so yeah…@ some point I’ll get on it. I only got about 1/2 way through last year’s bags so I need to do a huge run and freeze dry it/store it for the future. With the freeze dryer…the thought is crossing my mind to only grow every-other year. >>Too much weed<<.
Well once you get to know folks here you can trade clones unlike RIU. Firstcavapache said he’s been trading for a bit with some crazy crosses and really clean to. He still quarantines em for safety. Just food for thought. That chocolope is a great energy strain at least the pheno we had.
The vibe is far different here, for sure. Far less shade and childishness and more focus on genetics. A bunch of these folks remember the past and value it. 'nuff said.
Proven clones are hard to beat. I’d love to play but I just don’t have the need or the set up to run perpetual. If I ask someone for a cut I think it’s rude to just run it and be done…especially with no clone stock to reciprocate with.
I’m waffling here with just setting up a space and taking a deep dive into some old-time genetics. Take a look at some of this. Heirlooms – Fleur du Mal Seeds I ran the DTHF, Ortega, Princess, Genius, and more back in the last century…LOL. Might be time for a revisit/to get back to the basics and see if they are as good as I remember em being. That was back before everybody and his brother was crossing plants at random and folks were WORKING THE LINES. Basically…far less pee in the pool and no STS in sight. Heehee.
Yea I understand that about cuts. FDM I been wanting there bubblegum for a couple years now. Few people and cav said it is one of their favs. Have to see how it holds up in this environment, if at least it says mold resistant in description,have to go back to check.
Definitely not giving up. Yea I worry outside about this rot sh#t but if I get this down doesn’t matter what I choose,so happy to be able to grow any strain I want. Should do bubblegum inside just because. I was worried because my exhaust shuts off at night and was worried about stagnant air in flower,but my bud said just keep a small fan going and would b fine. So I gotta throw some mold resistant paint up on walls just for my worries. Then hook up my new spiderfarmer exhaust I just won,then pop a bean or 3 I’ll try not to pester you with every question getting me to finish line.
