GM Multi Photo Grow

Welcome to OG. I see this is your first post. You’ve come to the best forum on the net.

pH is important. Do you see a pH problem?

Most growers check pH but using Jacks nutrients I find it unnecessary. These plants are roughly 8 weeks in total age. The promix and jacks must be keeping my pH in line. I see no issues…

Today my routine is tap water, jacks classic bloom, calcium nitrate, Epsom salt. So simple any gardener can do it. I wish I’d a found Jack’s a long time ago.

Salts push up ph,tap water starts high. They are resilient and should survive either way.

Well to be precise my tap is 7.3 pH.

If you search around for jacks you’ll find many don’t even own a meter anymore. How it works all out I dunno but it does and it makes growing stupid simple.
Promix, tap water, Jack’s

Your correct. A plant can survive pH fluctuating. I’ve had plants lock out before but not since using Jacks.

She’s over 8 weeks old and 1 week into flower. I see no problems yet. Not to say I may later in flower but for now all is good.

Scrog Shutdown

Well, I had to make a decision I didn’t want to make. Just found out I’ll be wearing this catheter till surgery in late June. I’m pretty pissed…no pun intended.
There is no way I can crawl around or squat with this thing in my junk. I move to much and it bleeds pretty bad. So, I had a friend come over and remove the screen for me.

Disappointed but not beaten yet…lol. I’ll get in there and tie them down a bit. Spread them out. Make the best of what I can work with. The 4 plants in there are beautiful so far. All at almost the end of week 2 flower.

Gotta give big appreciation to the wife. She’s been stepping up and helping with waterings. I’m gonna turn that girl into a gardener yet…lol.

Sorry man, that sucks. I had to wear a catheter for one day after a prostate procedure and never again!

Only 7 total photos in there and 1 rouge mystery auto and things are starting to get moving on this stretch. Most of them are showing a nice elongation and multiple bud sites. The indica dominant strains in there I’ve done minimal training on but the other sativa hybrid learners Ive been more aggressive with. Height being my main concern of course.

Everybody get Jack’s and obviously they are getting what they need. I’m seeing some really nice rich green colors and rapid growth. Been working in the Calcium Nitrate rolling into this flower stage and they seem to be okay with it. I’m not seeing any calcium or magnesium deficiency yet.

Cornbread…she’s the beast of the bunch and a week older than all the others. I’m watching her like a hawk. This is my bagseed girl. I expect her to either throw some male sacs out below or she may poke out a banana or two near the end. I may get lucky and be just fine. Cornbread is a pretty potent strain. If she doesn’t hermies I may have to take a cut before harvest.

Afghan Skunk and Northern Lights/Skunk…Both should be indica dominant. They are short compact plants with not a lot of vertical growth. The Afghan was thrown into flower at 3 weeks and is just now getting busy. The NL is a dense leaf plant. Very bushy and very much like my GigaBud in my last grow. I don’t expect she’ll get real big but I may get a slight surprise hopefully.

Cinderella 99… I’ve been wanting to grow this for years and from what I’ve researched the Growers Choice offering of this strain is promising. I’ve had this smoke before but not from my own crop. Here I’m seeing two phenos. One plant is more sativa and one my hybrid. Both have turned into beautiful plants and are growing like mad.

Durban Poison… She’s a thick one. Fat main stem and no dense foliage like the Afghan or NL. Once she finishes the stretch I’ll probs have very little to remove below. Her main has been held down and now the rest of the plant is starting to catch up. She has some deep green foliage. Darker than all the rest.
She doesn’t look like other DP grows I’ve looked at. This plant has semi fat not so long leaf like a indica dominant hybrid. She’s supposed to be a 100% sativa but I’m just not seeing it.

The mystery auto… She’s chugging along. About 3 weeks to go. I held off the calcium nitrate from this plant. Just to see when and how fast a calcium deficiency would show up. It showed up last week as it rolled into week 7. I dosed it with some calcium nitrate last feeding and the spread of the deficiency has seems to halt.
Since this auto popped up unexpectedly I’ve used it to help me feed autos better in the future. My last run with autos I overfed and caused a lot of damage. This grow I’ve only used jacks and calcium nitrate at low levels each watering and it seems to be a good routine for them. Looking forward to growing more autos this fall. I think I e got a little better grip on what they need now.

The G13/Haze from Barneys is a beautiful girl so far. I have two of Barneys seed going this round and both are preforming very well.

So a good week of growing complete. I’ll be back soon with another update.

These ladies are picking up steam and taking off. Seeing more stretch and expect more this week before they halt.

The Sugar Black Rose is exploding into flower and looking good. Both plants appear different in some ways but similar in many. This is supposed to be a pretty potent strain so I’m looking forward to it.

The Critical Kush is my first grow with Barney’s seed. She looks like she’s pushing large fists are the lamp. Bushy, full, sturdy plant I expect good things from.

Lastly we have the Tangie. She’s been lagging behind but has picked up. She’s a thick plant with heavy growth.

So far all Jacks nutrients and calcium nitrate as needed.

Hows your G13 strains doing…

It’s doing fine so far. I’ve never grown it before but it has been a easy plant so far. She’s growing like a normal hybrid. I don’t expect her to get huge but I do expect some nice smoke. I’m sure she will be a nice addition to my jar collection.

4x8 update

End of week 3 flowering and all is well so far. The stretch is in full swing and sometime this week I expect them to halt the vertical growth. Once they do I will get in there and take care of the undergrowth to help some ventilation below and get rid of low larf.
I’ve been removing leaf as I go but have not been training them much since the first two rounds of tying down. At this point I’m going to wait for the stretch to end.
Last grow I had some photos that I damaged the roots and stunted growth. This grow I have well vegged plants with no problems and they are filling up my space quickly. I’m seeing that 4 plants in a 4x4 space is more than enough…mental note for sure.

First up is the C99. Two reside in the big tent and are two different plants. This one is a more sativa structure. Not so dense longer more narrow leaf and big thick branching. I’ve not removed leaf from her in a few weeks. I see no reason to yet.

The other C99 is no doubt a eye catcher. Pretty green dense growth but not packed in there like the indicas. She is spreading out nicely. I expected her and her sister to be my stretchy girls but it has been moderate so far.

Cornbread. I am very pleased with this plant. She is my lone Bagseed from a dispensary buy. It is the largest and oldest plant of them all. It is the only one with the main removed so she’s spreading out very nice. I’m still watching her above and below for any sign of hermies. It would be a major loss to loos her at this stage. She is a beautiful plant that looks like she going to provide a load of dope.

Durban Poison. Wow, what a wicked looking plant. Definitely the one that catches my eye. Her foliage is a dark green. Has been since the beginning. Her leaves are sparse and her main and branching is fat and thick. The sturdiest looking plant I’ve seen in a while. Not totally sure what to expect from her but I’m sure it will be good.

Afghan Skunk. This little one is chugging along. Not the biggest girl in the bunch but she was flipped into flower at 3 weeks of veg time. She needed a little more time that I didn’t have so I flipped her anyway.

Northern Light Skunk. Not much to say about a plant that looks great and is moving right along. This probably won’t be a big plant but worth the effort. She has many variegated leaves on her.

G13 Haze. Never grown any G13 mixes before. This little lady is growing fast but I don’t expect her to get really big.

Lastly the rouge automatic which somehow slid into the mix. Supposed to be a Purple Haze photo from G13 Labs but surprise…it’s not. Matter fact. G13 Labs doesn’t even have a purple Haze auto. So who knows what this is. Anyways, she’s spent most of her life hanging with the photos and has flowered in 12/12. I can definitely see a loss in yield using this light cycle but I have nowhere else to put her. None the less she’s packing on some weight and nearing the end at 62days.

These ladies have blown up the past week. Heading into week 4 the stretch is still going and they are attempting to overgrow the space. Like I mentioned in my last post I think 4 is the max in a 4x4. So, I have moved the SBR ladies in the big tent and moved a few smaller plants in the 4x4.

Sugar Black Rose. I’m impressed with the growth of these two plants. Both are similar but not the same. One has more dense growth and the other is more open. I’m really looking forward to trying some of her bud.

Critical Kush. What can ya say about Barney? She looks just like most grow pics I’ve seen of her in other forums. Fat bushy budsites all over and very healthy.

Tangie. I’m hoping I get a sativa leaner with her. She’s developing into a nice healthy girl. Not quite done with her stretch yet. I’m hoping to get a little more height on them stems.

I did some rearranging of the plants as mentioned before. I think this arrangement is going to work a little better. It gives the SBR girls more room. The smaller plants fit well in their place.

A few shots of the mystery auto @64days from sprout. I’ma give her a little more time. I think she’s trying to gain a little more mass but she’s getting close.

I mentioned before about the calcium issue with is plant. I purposely withheld adding anything but Jack’s bloom. The calcium issue showed up at about 7 weeks. I dosed it pretty good with the calcium nitrate and the issue seemed to halt in place and not continue spreading like grows I’ve had before. I think now I may have a grip on how to dose autos with the calcium nitrate
You can see it in some of these pics. It has not changed or spread in a few weeks now.

And they all come tumbling down…

Ive not trained this plant at all until tonight. I want that main to fill out a little so I’m gonna keep this up for a little while.

I wanted to spread this girl out but didn’t want to do tie downs. So I just started smashing branches. A few I had to use pliers on but most ya could finger smash n bend. When the stretch stops I’ll quit.

As I work my way through the plants cleaning out the undergrowth after the stretch. I’ll probably smash up the other few plants I’ve not touched.

This is what I started with…

This is the end result. I need to get in there tonight and get that undergrowth out of the way. Remove some leaf from the main as well.

I’ve got about a week of stretch left. It’ll be fun to watch them recover and bud up strong.

And so I did it again. This time the Critical Kush got assaulted…lol. Tonight might be Tangies turn.

So she started off like this…

And ended up like this…all secondary branching spread out except the main. Let’s see what happens.

So Ive scrambled some things around again. Moved some lamps and plants around. This should be my final adjustment.
All large plants are in the big tent now with all the power I can throw at them.

@Wojak thank you Sir. I am having a blast.

The C99 is from Growers Choice. I expected more stretch from them both but so far it’s been pretty mild.
