I was thinking the exact same thing
Totally didn’t see that as garlic lol
All 11 are up this morning, 10 kept their caps on. 10 surgeries attempted, 2 possible lost, but it’s uncertain yet, they could still pull through
Yeah the hulls were strong on mine too. I think I managed surgery alright tho on the 6 that needed it. Just one is left with half of the seed hull on it, the rest look live and well.
Yeah nice work! I find this to be the most stressful stage, getting through this first week. I think we got some strong goji’s in this group. Good luck going forward @ramblinrose
One week. They got their first light rain watering this morning.
#1 is the most uncertain, I took off an entire cotyledon during surgery, little one still putting up a fight tho.
#2 is other that took some damage, looks to be a survivor.
Look like they are coming along, good job.
Love to see that Catapult method of seed placement!
Got 9 going strong.
First stress test (not intentional); extreme temp swing; an 85F day followed by a night that dipped below 50. We lost the struggling #1 a few days ago and the #2 is looking doubtful atm.
Weeks three and four of the seedling stage are heavily influential in the life cycle of a plant. I will be striving to keep their space as dialed in as possible for the next two weeks. Twisting up some stress-free intentions🤞
Thats what I like to see! Glad to see they are coming in nicely.
Here we are a week later
9 going strong
The struggling #2
Some cherry tree shavings
Getting some new digs
Nice clean setup, for a dirtbagger, lol! Looks like you’re going to have some wonderful parents for the F2’s. Thanks for contributing to this preservation!
What size are the new pots?
I suddenly realized those trays were 1020s and you are getting 3 per tray which I worked out to be 7" (17cm) across the tops?
Cheers

Any notable root development w TinyTwoT’s while up potting?
It had some white healthy roots, but only a few visible in that little 2-1/2” pot it’s been in. So, no not exactly notable, but alive, yes.
This is, I think, a good example of just how important those first cotyledon leaves are; mess w them and you can really set a plant back.
Those are 6” wide by 8” tall pots.
The boys will finish out their days in these, while the girls will get another size up. After sexing, I’m thinking I’ll put the girls in 2 gallon pots for flowering. I don’t think I will have space to go any bigger than that.
Awesome thanks!
I’m"rooting" for her… Tiny Tt
Topped everyone except tinyTt this morning. I think I see my first set of balls on #3
And it didn’t come through in the pic but I think I see some girl parts on #8
One thing about all of these goji’s, is they all have some really fat stems.
Everyone got up-potted. First a group shot.
Next, let’s do an indivdual rundown.
C-1. Died RIP failed helmet surgery
C-2. Stunted, helmet surgery injury, suspected male.
C-3. Confirmed male throwing pistils early, med height.
-Edit: RIP herm
C-4. Unsure, short, last to show sex, very bushy needed staking
C-5. Confirmed female, big and bushy, needed staking
C-6. Confirmed male
C-7. Confirmed female, short, smaller leaf structure, needed staking
C-8. Confirmed female, has become my favorite, tall, open growth structure, slightly narrow leaf
C-9. Confirmed male, short, needed staking
C-10. Confirmed male, very thick stemmed and tall
C-11. Confirmed male, very thick stemmed and tall
They are looking great!
Love the root porn, perfect development.
