Yeah I see a few distinct sets; there’s a few that are really huge (it’s 5 back left, 9,10,11 along the door way) then a few that seem more in between 3,4,6, still big leaf but not quite as big, then a few 7,8 w a slightly more narrow and sharper looking leaf.
My cloning method relies on fresh aloe cuttings and small pots of my light soil mix. First I take my cuttings, scarify the bottom inch a little and then they go into a 1-2” piece of fresh cut aloe. They go into their small pots w the aloe, after 24 hrs I remove the aloe squeezing out the juice as I do so (it’s usually surprisingly dry). Into their pots w a light misting and very light soil soaking of aloe fpj. Into the clone dome aiming for about 70% rh.
Now that the boys have been kicked out to the cold (well, most of them at least), the girls are getting pampered w new 5 ga fabric beds and a bit of space to stretch out into.
It’s looking like I might only wind up w three females (C-4 is the slowest and keeps me guessing still)
Current layout:
5 7

4 8
I have been curious about the cooler temps that I am running this tent at. I have heard that you get more males at cooler germination and early vegetative temps. I wonder if that’s played a role here?
Well, either way, I like this split, its gonna fit my space nice
Edit: And now, also C6 and C10, originally showing male have also started throwing pistils.
I haven’t removed them yet, but I removed all of their “parts”
The C6 had just started grabbing my eye for its wide open and stout frame.
2nd edit: C6 and C10 culled for instability.
-I have this growing curiosity about the pistillate males though. I keep thinking about doing a small future run w clones where I only use the three pistilate males on all the same girls. You know, just to see if there’s anything interesting to note between the two sets, lol.
So, I may have gotten a little carried away torturing the boys out in the cold. Three couldn’t take it and had to be removed, three survived, but they have stayed small because of how I’ve been treating them.
The girls are ready though, and now…so thankfully @G-paS came through w some reinforcement pollens from her goji run, which should add a nice assortment of genetic diversity to this run! Thanks G:) (btw, the pollens look great) You can read about them here if you’d like. My place for preservation seed runs 2022
So here we are at day 29, freshly dusted w G1, G6, G7, and G9 from g-pas. My three boys C2, C9, C11 are all dropping now as well.
And here is how the girls are doing…
C8: Is a beast, she towers over her sisters, very upright, at least 2.5X stretch, maybe a slight lemon scent
Woo! @catapult things look beautiful there! Loving the teamwork between you and @G-paS real OG spirit in display here, this is gonna produce some really killer seed I think
