You can fruit just the cakes or you can spawn them to bulk. I think if you just want some BRF is a small amount to buy so you wouldn’t have 50 lbs of oats or bird seed. Then some verm and some coco. just go BRF cake to a coco, verm sub in a tote or any plastic container.

@MidwestMover I’m going to try and order some sterile swabs. Or make a loop and go directly to agar. Then to coco/vern. Never done that sooo wish me luck and cleanliness.

Loupes are super easy to make. Burn the plastic off of a twist tie, wrap it 3-5 times around a toothpick or the inside of a pen, twist the tails together to about 1" long and trim remainder, replace the blade of a metal exacto knife with your new loupe. Look up oven tek for making your own agar plates using 2oz portion cups. I make 50 at a time for under $4.

Slow, for some reason only one of the four inoculated sites started mycelium. I am wondering when I flame sterilized the tip of the needle that it killed the spores or I did not get enough in those ports.
They haven’t reached yet
Still eagerly waiting for them
