Rez is back in the seed business?

If could ever find those seeds, I’d definitely grow them ASAP.

Trying to be.

Here is bud from the sour cut I am running. I am not sure what “cut” it is, and I wouldn’t say it is “the sour diesel,” but it is the sourest I have found in ~10 years. It comes from old school heads in Oregon.

Dark heart still carries the same ecsd that was popular in the Bay Area around 2003 , I just recently picked one up and am looking forward to growing her out.
@Aj_Creator I’m surprised by that also I may have been the one to mention the top dawg I was eyeballing them but dident pull the trigger. I feel like he is overlooked a lot but it might be the high prices. There are a few of his lines I realy want though like the hash plant work he did hp91 or something like that

Are you gonna log that Sour Diesel from Dark Heart? If you do and you remember, please tag me. I’ve been eyeing that one for years. My girl and I are gonna be up that way sometime in the next few months and I’ve been considering grabbing it. I’m really, really apprehensive about bringing clones into the garden, but I think I could maybe make an exception for a real Sour Diesel.

It will be a minute before I flower her out but I will defiantly keep everybody posted on the results, I smoked a lot of the original when it was more common and it would be hard to mistake it for something else. I’m hopeful because I know they once had it and there pictures of it look correct. They show and describe a plant that is prone to fox tailing which sour diesal is if you don’t cut back the nitrogen mid flower so that’s another indicator it may be the same original cut. I’m also banking on the fact that dark heart has managed to not get caught up in any of the Bay Area raids so they should still have all there original genetics. The down side dark heart is known to harbor pests and disease so if your hesitant about taking in clones there one of the ones a lot of people avoid. I normally avoid them like the plague honestly but have stuff in quarantine atm anyways so I figure it’s worth throwing a sour diesel in there at the chance it’s the original.

Yeah, I was gonna ask you how your clone looked, but I figured, you know, if you had it, it probably looked healthy, no pests etc.

Karma Sowah Diesel Bx4, not a nanner in the lot that I’ve seen with hard lower defols. This is a major accomplishment imho.

My IG is loaded with more pics and video to check out.
Big thanks to Karma on the collab!!

Yeah there actually good looking clones atm , I inspected it super close before buying, dude at the club yelled at me for touching the clone before buying claiming I might have pollen or bugs , which is ironic considering I was making sure they dident have bugs, but it’s good there taking things like that into consideration, I laughed and let him know that if they dident water there trays soon they would all be dead anyways , bone dry cubes with every employee there handling them with no gloves, but I might be the problem lol
I also got asked not to come back if I was going to insist on being argumentative, this comes from me asking if the sour diesel was ecsd or nysd and there bud tender responding what do you mean it doesn’t matter. I quickly explained that it does matter and that they should be embarrassed to have such lack of knowledge about something they claim to be professionals at. You have a business but don’t like questions about your products. I’m going to email darkheart and let them know how there genetics are being handled , I doubt they will care as long as that place keeps paying the tab.
Perfect Union = worst customer service, high prices, and horrible wait times, like dmv bad.

Okay, so you got those from a dispensary and not directly from Dark Heart? I have no idea how any of that works, but I thought you could order them directly from DH?

Nope dark heart only deals direct if you have a California commercial license and this is true of most large clone companies at this point.
You have to go to dark hearts site and look at there recent drops. That will tell you who has what , but most clubs are bad about updating there inventory list if they even have one online.
perfect union had three strains on there online menu that were discontinued over a year ago… that was the first thing I asked about was why they had a online listing if it’s wrong they seemed confused at the question.

Yeah, I thought that was the case, but I also thought that they had an option for medical patients. Didn’t they used to? I don’t have my card anymore, but I figured I’d just go and get one real quick if DH was still giving patients clones. I guess I’ll just check out dispensary menus when we’re up north and see if any place has them, because DH really doesn’t seem to vend to SoCal dispensaries very often.

Yeah they were down South but when they had the hemp virus a lot of places quite doing business with them, there are also some real big clone nurseries down south so a lot of competition. Last time I spoke with them they no longer sold to medical , the thing is the state law doesn’t stop them from selling to recreational or medical they just choose not to and claim they can’t. They just don’t have time to bother with six plants when clubs take trays and they no longer care about the little guy who supported them on there way to success. Very few people are in it to help others gain access to quality medicine most just see doller sights and have let greed corrupt them to the point there rude asf and selling garbage a lot of the time.

That looks like the real sour I was getting for a decade in the nyc area.

Man, these look like something special. Really captured that foxtail-y Sour D bud structure and color, and the contrast with the dark green leaves. Looks like it lost those characteristic pistils though. Are these available from Karma? Or any chance we can get an officially blessed seed run? Alternatively, any beans from the collab that produce Sour D leaning phenos we can look out for?

Also, and no shade here, but any reason you chose Karma’s SD Bx as opposed to for instance, Lucky Dog Chem Fuego or any other representation? I’m assuming it’s just the most stable breeding for the taste and terps, but would love to get your opinion.

Why’d you ask about the Chem Fuego specifically? Have you grown that? I’ve got three in flower right now, really hoping it develops some Sour Diesel-ish flavors.

It’s been a bit since I went down the chem '91 / sour d rabbit hole and the LDSC cultivars all have very similar names, but:

  • Based on pictures from LDSC’s instagram and from the LDSC RIU thread, I felt it bore a resemblance in structure and color to pics I’ve seen of sour d during flower
  • as far as I can remember, of all the LDSC cultivars it has the most sour d in its lineage…essentially a sour d bx (sourband) crossed with the chem 91 bx, if I’m reading it correctly
  • I remember reading, either in ig comments, forum posts, or interviews, that it was the most sour leaning of the LDSC cultivars, but I couldn’t dig them up to verify

Take all this with a grain of salt…I’m super noob and I’ve never grown out any sour descendants…but I do have CSI’s twin turbo diesel on deck, so hopefully that’s set to change

the dried flower bears a resemblance as well imo, although these look like lowers:

Ya don’t judge to hard. First time running anything that long. Almost fried em ha!
Couple reasons including my personal relationship with Karma but some of the things that appealed to me made it an easy choice. One the deep back crossing that I know is really done but also karmas is the most sexually stable Sour D lines. His mom does not drop pollen when reversed. This shows in the plants… no hermies, not 1.
Big improvement over rez sour d it was selected from!
