Grape Punch from the man, the legend, BOG ver.2

Ha! Yea I’ve got two of the SF1000s in there now actually flowering my seed run, always find myself wondering if a higher powered light(s) would make any marked improvements on what I’m seeing so far but technically it ain’t broke so I prolly shouldn’t fix it?

from my experience it often can create as many problems as they solve. @DougDawson mentioned he hasn’t even turned his light up on full yet and may not need to as it’s all working so darn well (as we can see in the plant porn posted above!)

Solid point, more may not always be more better

In the case of light I would agree, once you get to a certain point the plants just can’t use any more.

I definitely found that point with the Grow Light Science 300 in my 2x4. There’s almost no reason to peg the dial to 100% in my 2x4

Hey all, been slacking on updates over the holidays. So 8 days ago the Grape Punch in front started throwing new pistils like it wanted to start foxtailing. I have been slowly turning the lights down and it seems to have had a positive effect. Most of those new pistils have receded and things are looking better. Here they are now.

Thanks bud, should be something worth smoking in that tent soon

Man those are cruising right along!

Again I’m liking the shorter one…

What smells can you make out from the two?

Honestly it is really tough to distinguish. The room smells normal until I open the tent and than it’s kind of like being hit in the face with a fruity skunk smell that is really strong. At least I know my carbon filter is doing a good job. Once I chop them and separate them I will try to give a good description of what is going on with them.

Oh and just for fun do you all remember that sickly Grape Punch? I could not do much with it, leaves were curling up and dying, tried flushing and did not do much, just didn’t like the nute levels I guess and I was not going to make separate nutes for one plant. That said I put it aside and kept it growing as ugly as she was. That whole plant is actually going to finish and I am going to make hash from it. I figure all it’s buds are going to end up in the Bubblegag Dude washing machine soon.

Nothing like some bubble gag…I think I can find that on the 'hub pretty easily.
Srsly though, I’m excited to see some bubble hash from that beast. I used to belong to a forum that mailed a set of bubble bags around amongst members, so everyone could give it a try. :bear::purple_heart:
That was my first and only hash experience!

That’s awesome Doug! Gotta let us know how it goes bud!

Will do. I know she is ugly but I just felt I had to keep her going for my hash attempt. She did produce some bud and there are some nice Trichomes on there so I am hopeful

I love the fan leaf with the little bud formation. I have seen plants have them before but have never had one myself yet. :slightly_smiling_face: :v:

Yeah, that top fan leaf on either side has one so there are 2 of them on that plant. My first and really cool to see.
