Greenleaf Nutrients MEGA CROP Q&A/Support/Pictures/Feedback/Anything thread

Apologies for not pointing that out. That’s what it was. I was putting in 1.7EC and my runoff was 8.0ec.

I flushed and am now running 1.5EC but the spotting as far as I can tell is getting worse but I’m hesitant to increase dosage as that’s when the spotting began last time.

I would either raise Mega Crop dose, or add in an pure magnesium like Epsom salts.

The pictures you showed do not look overdosed, so I wouldn’t be afraid to raise MC base a bit.

Thanks @GreenleafNutrients I’ll look into it.

Well ill add, my issues started off like @TrevorLahey but my EC for my feed would start off in the 1.6-1.7 range, the plants would be fine until flower hit which to me looked like they were pulling so hard on nutrient stores that the feed water couldn’t help them and the ones that looked the worse were ones where over time my reservoir water/feed had gone up into the 1.9 ish EC range jsut through use and cycle back, and they would be refilled about every 5 days.

Once i dialed back down to around 1.3-1.5 ec and made an effort to keep them there the plants were mainly happy.

Also i don’t think its “mag” deficiency which seems to be the blatant base problem solver for anything ever lol if you know what i mean, but im also no expert in the nutrient field or even that knowledgeable on it. For me it looked and looks more like potassium excess coupled to calcium deficiency or something…

Ill add my pics below

Now saying that my batch size that i mix up is relatively low “7 liters at a time” so with particle size differences and how megacrop settles in jars, ive always tried my best at keeping things as consistent as possible ratios wise of big particles vs powder but when using literal teaspoons i know there will and can be big differences in concentrations even if at same EC values. So i just did a 100g to 1 Liter concentrate batch to level that out today to hopefully make it more consistent which it should, still getting a bunch of un dissolvables a couple hrs later with plenty of shaking in between, but i can just shake before decanting off what i need to make a batch.

So maybe that will help with the situation and we will see how it goes as i just swapped out my reservoirs to a 1.8-1.9ec level, which with how things were going is high but i’ll lower it if needed or if i start to see it rise which i fully expect it will or at least on one side cause the plants are pretty far along and will be winding down soon.

Anyway V1 megacrop i liked and yeah had its own quirks but seemed like it had more leeway ec wise, this V2 stuff so far seems a little more finkiny but could be due to the small batches and particle size mismatch, but im all down for buying some of the new v2.5 stuff, which i will say if you keep offering better and bigger free samples, thats all ive been getting cause you only need so much in a closet grow lol, and im not buying kg of the stuff anyways so been super cheap so far for me…

Also all i want is a solid one part that all i need to do is vary my EC with once i start to have to add extra stuff to tweak things to make it work, then its no longer a one part and the simplicity of it is gone, but yes genetic are different for what they like or would be ideal with.

anyways my pics

Bottom leaves and newer top leaves spotting and issues would get worse as my EC would rise.

and having crusty brown tip leaves doesn’t make these buds look as nice

I’m going to do the same and go back up to 1.7. But for sure the spotting looks the same as mine.

I might add in 75ppm or so of epsom salts too.

Bravo! I have stopped feeding MegaCrop after week 4 of flower due to some Nitrogen Toxicity issues IME.

Ya @oleskool830 their product with 10% N in flower seems a bit to high IMO!

I learned the hard way. But you can’t beat MegaCrop in veg.

What are you using during flowering if you don’t mind me asking?

I totally agree! Fantastic in veg, but have been using Maxi Bloom after week 3 in flower mostly for the lower N but, I get P and K deficiencies if I don’t use a boost.

you guys realize you can just lower the dose if you are having Nitrogen toxicity right? :joy:

Not to be an ignorant prick, but maybe you should realize that people have issues with your product, and there would not be different versions coming out if that were not true…

the product upgrades are unrelated to Nitrogen levels

But you make product upgrades because you realize deficiencies… stop trying to make your customers look foolish…
