what nutes are you using? and grow systems? and cool tips/suggestions/things to buy?

im using maxi gro and maxi bloom, just ordered kool bloom in powder form and big bud in a small 250ml bottle from amazon, should be here later today

maxi grow and bloom are ph buffered, meaning you dont have to clutz around with ph, just pour in using the little measuring spoon into a bucket or a pitcher and add water, should mix by itself

the plants look great, heard if you cut back on nutes, the marijuana plants in question should use its own energy (hope that makes sense) to build a stronger plant (correct me if im wrong)

ive used liquid nutes but they’re way too messy, they leave a residue on my 1 gal pitcher that looks ugly (its only for watering my mj plants)

and for now all i have is 4x siberian autos and 2x unknown strain freebies (the two latter ones are going to be mother plants)

just ordered a 4x4 grow tent, a 1000w 4x4 led grow light, some fans i think, and im going to put my custom build ebb and flow tablle in there along with 2 20 gal rubbermaids stacked so they make an ebb and flow, the empty space in the middle is the working area

what do you think? what nutes are you using and what grow systems? have about 8 led lights running atm

I’m not sure you need a working area in a 4x4 tent . Not sure about the height of your tent but you might find it hard to work under or around your light . I like to fill my 4x4 tents with plants . I can reach where I need to from the entrance . Just my 2 cents

I am a total pure blend slut. I use a ton of thier stuff. I like to use sns 209 in the mix as well. Natural “systemic” pesticide, basically an antifeedant. Pure blend is expensive, but the plants really love it.

I also use pure blend pro. Grow, bloom, calmag.

Great stuff. Only bad thing I have to say about it is that it’s expensive.

I bought a gallon of bloom at the beginning of quarantine.

I used to have really good results with kool bloom powder in mid flower then gravity at the end years ago. Kb makes it puff and build buds like crazy but its really easy to hermie your plants with it if used wrong.
Cant wait to see some pics

I wouldn’t call them pH buffered. You definitely want to make sure the pH is correct. They actually do not totally dissolve without some agitation. I used hot water. I loved Maxi Series but didn’t care for mixing it. I assume the harder to dissolve bits was mostly calcium, which may not matter as much with harder water.

MaxiGro is green, Bloom is red and they can stain like other stuff. Not as bad, they don’t have a ton of dye.

You should only cut back on nutes if the plants are telling you that. It does not build a stronger plant to starve plants. Use 1tsp/gallon of either from start to finish, use KB as directed. I never used it with bloom boosters however, it’s got enough P and K, I just used a little extra MaxiBloom in weeks 3-6 of flower.

Welcome aboard!

I would 100% get a ph and ec meter. Personally I’d opt for something you can calibrate for both items. I’m sure bluelabs has a combined tester. The amount of money I’ve spent on cheapo ones would have been the same cost over a 1yr span lol

I think you are on track for a lifetime of fun with growing!

Whats the actual watts of the light?

My setup is now :
5x5 tent
Custom LED 560watts dimmable
Flood and drain with mapito
Using jacks, megacrop, maxibloon, canna pk. Lots of goodies.

Some tips ive learned along the way!
Mix them nutrients in a jar concentrated!
Epsom salts are your friend with LED lights.
Use Mapito

PPS… LIFTA is NOT an actual product…

Damn i forgot to add LIFTA. I see my plants ever 3 days, and spend 30minutes with them (10mintues of that the tent is open)

For promix what ph do you run in veg and flower?

No idea actually, I don’t even check ph ever. Feed bottled water and organics keeps my plants happy.

I have a very narrow grow area. 7’L x 2’W x 7’H. Any DIY hacks to do a hydroponic sea of green? …or ideas and ideas on materials?

Could always buy a small inflatable ring pool and use it as a flood table on a wood frame. I’ve been playing with that idea lately because I’ve got about that much space total in the closet but my ceiling slopes to about 9 foot at the tallest end.

Also I use the gh Maxi series just the 2 part and cal mag in throughout veg. I grow in coco perlite mix and various size containers. I’ve not used anything but that in my grow and haven’t had an issue pulling around 8oz since I’ve gotten dialed in.
I use this as my ec meter, they have a bit more expensive one with replaceable tip.

I just use the ph drops that came with my gh ph up/down. I just prefer the drops.

EDIT: the tester also comes with 2 calibration solutions for 2 point calibration and case. All in all a nice budget tester and it stays calibrated so far. It measures the solutions perfectly.

I’ve never had to adjust with flora nova or maxi’s line, I just pour in a guesstimate and add water, haven’t had busted plants in 4 years aside from calmag deficiencies

Here’s a picture of my Siberian auto plants, just keeping me busy before I setup the ebb and flow chamber, been saving cash like crazy for my grow

Just added bloom nutes, I have a sour strawberry and something else mothering for a 12 plant ebb and flow setup in a 4x4 tent (about 24 plants all together when everything’s setup)

I just get a 2x4 table and flood table then drill flood and drain holes using a hole saw and a drill, then secure it with silicon glue from the caulking gun, works fine but without glue it’ll leak really bad

Thought about that route also but then I’d have to use a second table to utilize the whole growing area. My current layout of the space is a 2 by 4 flower area and the rest separated and used as a veg area. But I’m moving my veg area to a different spot soon and have been thinking about laying it out differently when I do.

I have 3 chambers in my room

2x4 = mother chamber
2x2 = auto flower chamber
4x4 = bloom chamber (1 ebb and flow table 2 six plant ebb and flow tubs)

If ur into using nutrients…check out this new line…GOLDLEAF…goldleafus.com is their address…theyre a 1part nutrient…I know I was VERY skeptical to say the least…its 5-4-9 NPK ratio…its super concentrated…for a run of 6 plants from seed to stoned I used less than a 1/4 of a liter…it ph’s ur water, softens it if u have hard water, dechlorinates ur water,& u just use a little calmag depending on the strain…use coupon code:JL52 for 10%off ur entire order. Not to mention these are all nutrients sourced naturally. Check them out…your plants will love u for it…& in turn, ur plants will love u back that much more

just examples of how my girls thanked me for using goldleaf 1part nutrient…coupon code:JL52 for 10%off entire order

How does it soften water? IDK if that’s even possible.

I just checked the site and it’s $300/gallon for 5-4-9 hydro fertilizer lol I formally call shenanigans. Analysis first glance it doesn’t even look like a complete nutrient. More red flags than a Chinese military parade.

My current run is masterblend 4-18-38, calcium nitrate, epsom salt, raw silica, and southern ag garden friendly fungicide. They’re just babies right now though so all they’re getting is a couple mls of gff in the res.
