Greenleaf Nutrients MEGA CROP Q&A/Support/Pictures/Feedback/Anything thread

I’m hoping for a coupon code that makes the 2-Part sample free, we just pay for shipping.

Did that twice with OG 1part MC. Purchased a sack of v1 and v2 after samples consumed.

Unfortunately, they no longer do totally free samples. They do offer a 75% discount on the one part MEGA CROP in the 1000g bag, but they’re somehow out of that size, even though they do have the 2500g and larger sizes. Shipping is extra, of course.

So as of this moment, there is no other deal available on the 2 part. I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago, along with the Bud Explosion and Sweet Candy, and paid full price for everything. When I got my order, I received the card with the discounts I mentioned in my previous post.

Giant bag of MC arrived just now. Going to mix some up for the veggie garden and my outdoor Romulans a bit later!

Romulan! Did you say Romulan? I’ve been looking forever for a straight Romulan. I’m gonna stick around for an outdoor Romulan show. They should get huge.
Blessings…

Why would a 2 part be preferred over latest version?
I’m fine with how it is. Peace…

Awesome GLN rep helping below

The 1part is good stuff. I used if for several runs.

2part. Good option for growers that want to get a little more technical with their feeding program.

The new MC2Part is a very close copy of Jacks.
Here’s an example of how the MC2part can be combined to closely duplicate the MC1part @ 4 grams per.

Want lower N? Just back off the PartB calnit. No need to reduce the base.

The 2 part would be preferred for people using fertilizer injectors, or for growers who are doing different crop types, or want extreme precise control over N/P/K levels and being able to vary them at different stages. Also, the 2 part is a less expensive overall, only $42 per 25lb bag currently. (so 50 lbs would be $84 + ship).

The 1 Part is designed for Cannabis and Hemp as far as NPK/Ca/Mg is concerned, and 1 part very easy to use.

we have a PPM and feeding calculator for the new 2 part also

Actually, its the same guaranteed MINIMUM as Jacks 5-12-26, but it more like 5-13-26 in reality. We kept the label at the minimum amount in order to entice Jacks growers over to try our version, but ours has higher P, which is an important part for blooming/budding/resin, so it should perform a little better than Jacks for budding without any extra PK booster added.

Great to hear. Extra P appreciated.
Looking forward to trying the MC2P.

The calculator on your site is fabulous. Thanks!

From the interwebs… (updated edit!: video created by @AquaTerra - thank you!)

That’s my video lol my cameras batteries were dead so just did a quick phone video. The new one is still quite hygroscopic so keep them in plastic bag and sealed container other wise it’ll be a clump in a few days.

Great video! Edited post above to give proper credit.
Thanks.

I’m quite disorganized atm but will make a video tomorrow showing V2 and V3 dissolving in both colder and warm water. Someone mentioned V3 there’s still some sediment left over.

Really hoping the 2500g bags get stocked in Canada soon, and am liking what you did with the consistency of the new version.

Should we expect a little less of the undisolvables in the new version?

At a concentration of 5g per gallon v3 mixes with minimal sediment with an emulsifier… just an observation

very cool video! We are probably going to switch back to “balls” for a bit until we get more feedback. The problem with the fine powder, is that it is much MORE hygroscopic than the just the normal balls. The balls kind of minimize the hygroscopic tendencies, and especially during summer when its hot out, mixing the batches attracts much more moisture.

So overall we find the product much easier to work with, and far less hygroscopic keeping the balls. For smaller growers worried about consistency, you can simply take your bag and blend/grind it down yourself. Only small growers should worry about this, because mixing more than 5g at a time greatly reduces variance with particles.

I am liking the “no balls” formula so far. It would be a pain in the arse to have to grind it. I doubt I would buy it in that case.

I tested the V2 with warm water last week and it fully dissolved afrer about a min of stirring… I’ll try to test out the V3 with cold vs lukewarm tomorrow and make a video.

Being weird as I am I thought I’d ask about the logistics of grinding then pressing it into 5g cubes, I know it would put the cost up but would remove (to an extent) the dust problems. Also mixing up doses would be much easier as I have found dissolving 10g in a cup of water then adding but by bit till my desired ppm is reached works best.

you do not want to do that because there is a chemical interaction between the ingredients, and it would accelerate that process.

Its the same reason that almost all hydroponic nutrients have a “2 part” nutrients system, because certain ingredients need to be separated. We have a few methods to combat this with Mega Crop, one of them is keeping the granule separate from the powder.
