Greenleaf Nutrients MEGA CROP Q&A/Support/Pictures/Feedback/Anything thread

In coco. Haven’t measured ec just ph of 6.0. How do you lower ec? Just amount of nute solution?

Just measured EC 2300

First bit was a bit hugh in N for the content of a one part but i didnt/dont see wanna problems with it with a feed twice, plain ph’d water once when in flower… keeps the N down a bit and helps keep the salt build ups out of your soil…

I have like 20lb of v1 megacrop downstairs i still use lol

try ph 5.8

Either less MC or more water. I think ec gives a much better idea of the mix than ppm or weight, but I’ve never used either with MC. I do try to keep the pH as close to 5.8 as I can, and I’m really generous with the runoff.

I’m assuming that’s 2.30ec? I think MC recommends 1.5 in bloom? I never go over 1.45, unless I screw up.

The pen I stuck in just read 2300 I can also set it to ppm and get a reading if that’s preferred. So clearly I’m silly high on that number though .

Maybe that’s why my chopped plants don’t smell very good? Just hay.

Do you alternate the ph water and the megacrop feeds? Or just go pure ph water in flower?

What is this in EC?

Is that ppm set on 500 scale?

Some meters have 500 and 700 scale. I’m familiar with 500 being in the states.

500 ppm = 1.0ec I feed up to 1.3ec, or 650 ppm and most would say I underfeed.

I’m not sure… can you tell of this link?

Can you convert the us/cm number to EC?

Here’s the feeding chart, note that you can change the chart by clicking on preferred measurement type. Ec… ppm etc.

Your overfeeding at 2.3ec.

I don’t. I mix a 5 gallon bucket of water & MC until I read what I want with the ec pen.

At that reading, I think your meter is showing 2.319 ec. The μS/cm number gets divided by 1000.

I pH the bucket after the mix has been thoroughly stirred, and let sit for about an hour.

I’ve found small amounts of MC feed to be a lot harder to keep a stable pH. I don’t know why.

Oh I have the chart and know I’m over feeding. Never measured EC until tonight despite having that tool :man_shrugging::man_facepalming:. Made it an entire harvest to 15 plants almost ready to come down. Took one down last week and gave zero smell after a short cure, just hay.

Would this be because I ran 2.3 ec this entire time? Would that ruin my smells?

Also what if I dial it back for the next week or so before chop ?

I’m not experienced enought to determine the source of a hay smell… iv been under the impression that’s a dry/cure issue.

I run straight water the last week myself. Pulls the reserve nutes from plant and helps to fade. I also think flushing smooths out the smoke…

you can just lower the dose. Do you have any pictures?

If you wanna dial back the base 1 part nute to cut out some N you can. I run a bloom booster with it (kool bloom). 2.3 EC is def too high. I hit 1.8 at the highest end after adding calmag

Have you found you needed cal/mag? I add a bit of Ca, but have never seen a need for Mg. And, MC has a P/K that isn’t from the Scotts/Bayer/Montsanto/Hawthorne cartel.
