Grey squirrel infestation

That is crazy. They say the gray ones are not as smart. Like I said they got into my pepper plants. I had a fruit tree they killed all the fruit. They are good to eat.

I had Racoons tear off my Redwood soffits. and nest in my Cathedral ceilings. I thought I had a leak but yep, animal urine. I ended up having to having all the siding ripped off and replaced with vinal. Than all the ceiling dry wall had to be pulled down. It was a very expensive mess.

Yikes I can only imagine. The urine and feces is highly toxic as well. Can actually make humans deadly sick and permanently messed up it’s crazy. I worked for a foam insulation company for 6 years (spray foam technician) and we constantly battled raccoons. I may or may not have sealed some in foam that were truly resilient to our removal methods. We’d go to new houses JUST BUILT, and they already ate through whatever to get inside and establish homes, mean little bastards too. That must have been a nightmare

There’s a vacant lot not too far from me where carolina horse nettles grow…they have the little watermelon-ish looking berries on them, are they good to ward of squirrels?

I know they are good in a tea for our plants.

Yeah…I’ll pass on that recipe bro, I’m not a adventurous eater. In fact I know a guy from my neighborhood (well actually he lives across the street from me) Anywho he has/had a thing for vermin meat…i.e. rats, squirrels etc. I mean he ate it often like most folk eat chicken. Long story short he developed gout in his knee cap, which eventually had to be replaced surgically…so yeah its a no for me.

They ate holes in my gas can. Why I have no idea. But when they popped the hole they got the smell of gas. One stays under my car all the time.

You’ll put your eye out…. :eye::crazy_face:

If you have the time, an airgun is cheap option but you need to do the job yourself.

Get a dog!!!

This.

They were everywhere before we got our lab/shephard mix who likes to chase 2 years ago. Now we rarely see one at all.

My neighbour lady next door (very close) actually thanked me because she used to get them inside her ceiling and walls every year, and she hasn’t had to call the pest control folks for 2 years now. LOL

Mine too, and the gas tank on a tiller, generator, a container for drained motor oil, and they’ve eaten the gas line in a buddie’s car 2x! Fuckers are huffin’!

I trap 'em in a Havahart, then take 'em swimming in the 55 gallon pool… oh, the irony, lol!

No way. Because I have noticed that squirrel around my car. I see where it looked like it was hacked. I was going to take a picture. It’s a big on two. My dog can’t stand them. I’m going to get the BB gun. It does take much. I would eat them but it’s been hot. I’m sure they have worms.

You know your squirrels Sir.We always had to wait till February to Harvest them to avoid worms.A crossman 2100 was lethal to Squirrels and especially rabbits that destroyed my mom’s garden. has to be so many weeks into a frost.Other than that they are really good eating Braised in salt pepper and olive oil with a little garlic and baked in a cast iron pot at 400 degrees for 45 min.Need to get 3 per person with some mashed potatoes and baby carrots and brown gravy holy shit who’s better than you.That’s good eating
