Another question I think I’d have is how accurate is the size bags to the weight ur trying to stuff in there? If u got something really dense could u throw more than an oz into an oz bag and still have it maintain?
Exactly. I have been storing my stuff long term using other methods. The quality diminishes steadily after taking them out of the bags even in tightly torqued down jars.
A few bucks for a bag that protects 1/4 lb of good smoke is insurance money well spent. That’s why I’m getting more.
Ya food savers was how I remembered it always coming “down the chain” when we did pick ups back in early 2000s wasn’t bad but I’ve seen buds dry out in those from bad un noticed seals in storage, like one big ass crispy rock haha
I just go by feel really. When I have so much in that I think they’re pressed to tightly together I’ll take some out. I want to see movement when I jostle the bag a little.
That’s how I would prob feel on em too, just wasn’t sure if extra weight from something extremely dense would throw off the effectiveness of maintaining humidity
It doesn’t appear to me that it does. Heavy or light, they cure just fine.
Just make sure to put a meter in there until you are sure you have the bud just right. After that you don’t need a meter.
I’ve been using and reusing 1oz and 1/4lb bags for three or so years.
They are amazing.
Long term, 12 months + storage seems to bring out
the best in the buds.
Nothing speaks better than experience.
Kids are rocking on the last few bags from last years harvest. WAY better after a year than any jar that I’ve used, even with fresh seals on the jars every year.
Used a Boveda pack in 1 jar, none in another jar, will NEVER use those Terp robbing packs ever again.
So far we’ve been able to use all (25) OZ bags but a couple from last year, kids are rough and wrecked the zipper.
Order for 85 more OZ bags just hit the house today. After tasting what comes out of the Grove bag after a year, and what comes out of a jar after a year, I’m done with jars, and will never go back, and the $1.15 for a bag, I’ll eat that cost all day long knowing my bud will be good in long term storage with them.
Has anyone used Grove bags while heating their home with a wood stove? After last winter in jars I had to find something else so I’m hoping this winter is better.
I don’t use wood to heat my house, but my post is based on using the SAME exact basement cupboards for my stash, and the Grove bags win hands down.
1- I can store more in the same space.
2- weigh less, easier to handle.
3- provided superior long term protection.
In my case, it’s all win in my Arena.
I’ve been using them since the beginning of the summer and they’ve been great so far. The wood stove is the real test for me.
I haven’t found one thing I don’t absolutely love about them.
TOTALLY agree!!!
And when your neice calls crying that she needs some smoke, a Grove bag is a hell of a lot easier to conceal and take to her than any jar. LOL
I hear they mail real well. Heard on the street. A super danketee dank delivery.
@JustANobody
I heat with wood. My gun safe is in the same room as my wood stove. That’s what I keep the bags in. I’ve had no problem.
Awesome, that’s what I was hoping.
My cannatrol is done with the dry and cure factory set duration just a few hours ago and I’m on the fence about leaving it all in there for now since I don’t need it for a couple months or just checking the finished weight of total flower and bagging it up in Groves. I just this morning cracked open a bag of Cuban Black to get the wife out some and it really smells nice and stunk up the room in literally seconds. She puts enough for a week or so in a smaller container.
I had this arrive yesterday.

my turn is coming up… 4 ish weeks away from harvest and doing my grove research… has to be a cheaper shipping option no ? thinking of 12 1/4 lb bags and a few ounce bags.
I don’t understand the reasoning behind the expensive shipping charges ! It’s not like there shipping you bricks.
