Grow log 2024

Update spent last night reorganizing the garden changed out the light to the bigger one, I also hooked up the carbon filter and vortex fan we will be starting flowering this weekend. Keeping those Thai’s shorter and more manageable I might put one or two outdoors in a hidden location going guerrilla style growing not sure yet though? Everything is looking great.

Update one of my DJ short Flo!s is a boy everything else is looking like a female. My dilemma is should I try and make seeds or just ditch him? I’m only working with a grow tent but I was thinking about planting outdoors with him and something else? Any suggestions or ideas

Yesterday I was going to transplant my garden to AirPot’s but I have been feeling under the weather irregular heart beat body aches headache etc. today I took myself to the hospital to get checked out. Not going to lie but I’m a little nervous this is going to be the second time in four years I have had to wear a heart monitor. This has been a hell of a summer so far sprained my leg in July that got better then I had a major dental appointment that is still ongoing, then just two weeks ago I lost my mom. I was hoping to have her around for the upcoming holidays. I will be bringing some of her ashes to Norway next year she never got to visit where our family is from.

Update it’s been three days now I have been in the hospital come to find out my blood cells were extremely low which explains why I haven’t had the energy to do anything lately. The doctors were surprised I walked in by myself. The bad thing is I just flipped my garden to flower cycle and I made the resivoir and bought Coco Coir so I could transplant them now I’m worried they might be near death for lack of watering for over three days. I don’t have anyone I trust enough with my garden. Either with the actual feeding part or the actual telling them I have a garden of cannabis. My old partners I used to have one passed away four years ago the other moved to the ocean. Everyone else I just don’t have enough faith in the resivoir needs ph’d and I still need to add one more ingredient so I’m hoping that they are ok. I’ve had them in solo cups since they germinated. I’m going to have to find someone I can trust in case I get stuck in the hospital again. Any advice anyone has for this situation?

Finally an actual big update last night I finally translated the garden they are all now in 5 gallon air pots I have a 30 gallon tote, I have ten gallons of water and nutrients brewing when I use benefox from Dominion Organics it has to sit for 24 hours before I can use it it’s building the beneficial bacteria so by the time I get home tonight I’ll be ready to feed them fully.
I gave them the remaining nutrients I had in the five gallon reservoir so they got that bit, I fed them this evening when I got back from work. I also plan on purchasing a flood and drain table so I don’t make a mess in the bottom of my tent. I’ll post more pictures once the flowers start stacking. Until then peace out

Update from the garden
I think it’s week 3 or 4 currently using flora nova bloom, budswell bat guano, G 10 gravity flower hardener, snow storm ultra from Humboldt County’s own, also benefox from Dominion Organic’s Benefox, cal mag + and blossom rocket, and also Earth juice Xatalyst and old black strap Molasses for my ph I am using Advanced Nutrients ph up and ph down. Why can’t they make a better design for the ph bottle like a drip attachment would be great but no they just leave it like everything else,

I am trying to upload pictures but keep getting an error message telling me to resize them to 13 pixels?

I’m trying to troubleshoot my afpak she’s showing signs of nutrient burn? My Thai 78’ and my widows are looking good, my Dj short Flo is coming along ok. Wish I had vegged her out longer, I should have topped her but my schedule at work and the other things that happened this past summer are some of the reasons why I didn’t get around to doing any of the extra work I would have liked to do. I am debating to start another crop or wait until I get back from my trip early next year. I don’t really have anyone I can trust to come take care of my garden. Nor would I currently. I have mentioned before my old friend Rob who my profile picture is of him sitting off to the side with his head down he was the man when I hated that hydroponic system he made it work. I was ready to give it back to my hydro shop friend with some very unpleasant words but Rob figured it out he passed away in September of 2019 just a week or so after hanging out with him and we went to watch It 2 I had just had a wisdom tooth pulled and I couldn’t smoke herb quite yet so I told him we would hang out in two weeks. Instead he passed away. I missed his memorial service because I had a co worker who was a Royal pain in the ass and you couldn’t leave unless he was happy with the station. Funny thing is I am at the same job again and I have that same shift again shucking oysters on Monday’s during the day. It didn’t dawn on me until just the other day after I was done at the gym training for the day. He was and probably is the only person I would trust with my garden or anything deeply personal. I have also said every garden I grow from here on out is a memorial garden for him and his memory. When I first met him I had to show him around the restaurant where everything was etc on the little tour I was giving him he asked me if I had ever done mushrooms :mushroom: :joy: I looked at him like who the hell are you but of course I replied yes duh then after work he said want to get stoned I was like hell yeah so that began a long and awesome friendship. Then his old job re opened and he got me a gig there it was a small family run restaurant that specialized in bbq and after about a year or so the wwe was coming to Seattle for Wrestlemania 19 our boss bought us tickets and we were able to sneak down to ringside and of course we brought weed and toked in the arena. I got him into growing herb and then when I went big I brought him over to help. Best friend ever he also saved my ass from the Cops. I will tell that story another day. Anyway if anyone else has grown afpak can lend me some help or advice I would greatly appreciate it

Will be posting pictures tonight I changed up the feeding again on the garden. Last time I used both grow and bloom along with all my additives that I have been using. But this time I went with just flora nova bloom, Earth juice Xatalyst, Humboldt County’s own G10, Dominion Organics Blossom rocket, budswell. I forgot to add black strap Molasses but they all seem to be doing really well this week. My Flo is starting to stack but she’s definitely the most sensitive to the feedings. My Thai strain just loves being fed pretty heavily, the white widows love it too. But this week we upped the formula on the above nutrients I need to make another batch tonight I have been only giving them one pitcher of food a day this last week I have added two more fans in the tent to keep the air moving and I also trimmed everyone up this past week getting rid of the excess branches and leaves so they can just focus on swelling up and getting bigger buds I’m still debating on whether I should shut down after this run and wait until I move to a new apartment one so I don’t have to haul plants to and from and two I’m trying to do some things that might give me less time to work on the garden. I will always have my equipment I have no plans on ever getting rid of my tent and lights etc… my next crop will be more White widows and possibly a dj short Blueberry in the mix as well as some other good strains I have in my seed collection.

Here’s the pictures I promised I am not exactly sure what week I am in definitely not near harvest but they are starting to fill out also my San Marzano tomato plant is starting to put on tomatoes I can’t wait I have a trichrome scope that connects to my phone via an app, I just got it recharged the other day so here soon we’ll take some pictures with that little device. It’s been a few years since I’ve used it so I’m going to have to refresh myself on how to use it again. Oh one last update this Saturday will be my first Muay Thai sparring session at my gym we are hosting another team so that’s going to be really exciting this coming weekend.
Hope you are enjoying my garden and posts.
Until the next time
Peace out

If anyone is reading this I keep running into the issue of my air stones clogging after a while I do my best to keep them clean I have read some people just toss them after a while and replace them, I have read where you can boil them etc. Also I have been reading a little bit about air diffuser’s trying to keep my resivoir aerated. Trying to find the most reliable setup for my resivoir. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thank you

Picture update on the garden e

I posted earlier about trying to figure out how to shrink down the size finally did it again.
Closing in on Harvest time so here’s a few pictures from the garden as of yesterday evening. I have two different tools for looking at the trichomes one links up to my WiFi and the other fits around my camera on my phone I used to have the old school jeweler’s loop but it broke one day so I decided I would try my hand at the digital stuff I haven’t used them in over two years, I am still learning how to properly use them and holding them at the right angle. I’m currently flushing everything in the tent including my Thai 78’ once I chop everything down I will feed the Thai 78’ just a little bit more before she’s nearing harvest time. But what I’m thinking is she will use up most of her nutrients and then when I feed her again she will suck that bit up and then really look good she’s starting to fill out but not as much as I would expect the White widow looks nice and chunky and the flo is fat and purple looking so I’m stoked on them my afpak is looking hella good. Next time I post pictures of the garden will be harvest time just before I cut them down.

I finally harvested the entire garden the only thing I am a little bit mad about is my microscope to look at the trichomes stopped working. But everything is done now. Last night I harvested my Thai 78’ She was very thick and beautiful I jarred up the afpak and the flo the other white widow still needs a couple more days to dry until I can put her in jars. I’m going to have to really be on top of the afpak to because her stems were still a little bit bendy. But I had to make room in my closet I guess I could use the tent now that everything is done except my San Marzano tomato plant she has that weird bottom end browning happening on some of the tomatoes? This has only happened to me before outside when I used to live on the other side of the city so I thought it was due to the area I was in. But now I’m dealing with it again. Not thrilled either. But all the cannabis is good and drying I’m really interested in the Thai 78’ she’s the chunkiest girl amongst the group, I’m really curious about the affects from a pure Thai strain because we all know the 502 market doesn’t have anything like this. She will be ready to taste by Christmas time and from the looks of things I won’t be seeing my family this year due to my aunt having to take care of my uncle who is slowly dying from cancer, my cousin is having surgery in December so I’m going to have to make my own arrangements this year. Now I’m not even a Christian I’m a Norse practitioner but I enjoy being with my family for the holidays it’s the two times of the year we really get to see each other. 2024 has been a very long year lots of different things have happened. Including my mom passing away and my own health issues I had this past year. What I am grateful for is Muay Thai boxing, making some new friends growing a successful crop got to have gratitude for that too. Oh and I really think I like using the airpots next cycle I’m buying a watering canister or whatever it’s called I like using my pitcher but I realize the holes on a watering canister are better more gentle on the soil I used to use a big 32 gallon garbage can as a reservoir and I had a watering wand I would plug in and water them but I don’t need that much water for my small garden. So I’m trying to think like a micro gardener whatever that means. I’m so used to doing big gardens
