Growing Trees with Meesh 2021

Hey, on a lighter note, and why I stopped by before, I wanted to ask if you ever have any birds come and say hi to you?, lol.

I’ve been putting a feeder out the last few years and a hummingbird feeder and I guess some birds come back every year.

I always talk to them and try and whistle a little like them, and now I have a couple that will come to me when I go outside. Well, really just one that will come over every time I go out. It’s a barn swallow. A robin will talk with me almost as long as I keep it going, so it can wait.

Maybe they’re just nervous fathers to be, cause I know the Robin is on her eggs. They made a nest in a tree that is only about 6-7 feet off the ground. I need to be back there doing yard maintenance but it’s in the back by the shaded garden.

I went outside with a bowl and a drink last evening to end a hot day and chill on the front porch. Well he comes and starts performing for me and the comes into the porch and lands on the porch light and jabbers away, lol.

This morning about sunrise I opened the front door and was talking to the hummingbirds and here he comes and hovers in front of my screen door and starts singing. Lol.

I just never been around a bird that follows me around the yard. Out back where I’m playing with plants he comes and lands on the wire above and really starts singing away. That’s ho I first noticed, now he follows me around almost. It was cool watching him flying around in and out from under the porch.

Just curious. I spend too much time alone, ha. I love it though. My birds seem to know me!

Peace

I definitely have the same doves. Someone said they never leave their spot and even their offspring come back. Doves have been here for years. The sparrows are pretty used to me and don’t even fly off anymore. None of them are that social though. I do have one small bird, with like a red breast that comes and sits on the phone wire closest to my back door that I feels like asks for food and chirps at me when the feeder is empty. lol

That frame and net amazes me, I wish I lived somewhere I could pull that off, all of it would rot here. Can’t wait to see what you do this season. Positive vibes and happy growing. Seems like you got this on lock.

I just realized that I need to put that blue dream in the ground. I’ve had such a busy week. I’m not tired per se, but full of anxiety. I have so much stuff to do, but its 7:30 at night at what point do I need to just sit tf down. Also, I’m still waiting on all those plants to show sex. Assuming I get one female of the Orange Goji and Ice Cube, if that last Maui Wowie is a male, I’ll have to double up on a strain. Still don’t know what the hell I’m gonna do. Only plant I’m 90% sure of is the PWC 3, it’s a male, but I’m waiting on a cluster or stem to be 100%. Been checking these bitches everyday. The Ice Cubes are stubborn as hell.

SIT! :smile_cat:

Growing weed aint for sissies! :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Hey if your plants are still in pots, if you have a dark spot to take them out of the yard to make it 12/12 for a couple of days, they’ll show pretty quick like a few days. When growing outside they don’t show for a couple of months sometimes. I been dealing with that. I don’t move them up to a large pot until I know. This stuff is already too much work, so I don’t like to undo something I already did.

I’ve been taking plants in and out for a while now to save electricity. Only two Mothers Milk left to finish another 4 weeks and then it’s all outside I think. I’ve already had to force the sex on my Azad Kashmir before going to a 5 gallon felt pot. Turns out the two I left, one I thought was male for sure and another that was 50/50 leaning to male imo, but now looks like I have two more females! Not sure why they didn’t show in the same time frame.

I gotta get a short vid of this swallow, lol. He’s my shadow, now. I love this place. I saw a huge male bear a few days ago over the ridge from here at the state park lake. So cool. peace

Bears are Rad! From a distance. Quite some distance.

Yeah he came out of a bog area and went across the road and up through a meadow to the trees. The bears here turn all shades of brown and this old guy was brown but it had a real red tint like an Irish Setter. He was easy to see against all that thick green grass.

This works well, I would highly suggest you try this.

We got the net up. Went up much easier than we thought. The door was the bitch. Took us all day to rig a door and it looks like shit but it works. Here’s a few shots from outside and inside

Thanks Everyone! I’m absolutely fried from the sun after today. Literally have like 15 sunburns on top of each other. I feel like a sun-dried tomato. The whole thing was a mofo to be honest. Dad admittedly said that I’m gonna just need to keep it up until the sun eventually destroys it. We bit off more than we could chew here. Dad said there is no way Me or the man would be able to put it back together by ourselves and he realized his limit when he put the top of the structure up on Tuesday. I also apologized to Dad as I didn’t think it through when I asked for this project. Basically, he doesn’'t want to take it down and put it back up for next year. Quite frankly after last week, I don’t want him to. In the end, it was just too dangerous for his age and my anxiety. I was way too paranoid that he’d get hurt.

However, it is done! And we did a kick ass job on it. It should hold up for many years. The seams on the net are the only thing that may not hold for many years. If it falls apart from the seams, it will be worth it to pay whatever price the ag net supplier charges just to custom the size. I know I never want to have to sew that beast together ever again. lol

From the outside, it looks like it receives a lot less light than it does. The breeze flows right through it, its super sunny inside. The pics were taken much later in the day, so they aren’t as bright as it actually is in there. I don’t think it will have much greenhouse effect at all when it comes to humidity, but we are gonna rig a few fans on timers come bud to blow more air around. Especially in the early morning hours when all the dew wants to settle on the plants.

I won’t be growing any Maui Wowie this year either. The last plant is also a male. Bummer! I’m still waiting on the others, but did put the blue dream and a Port Wine Cheese in the ground. 3 more spots to fill, really hoping on one Orange Goji and an Iced Cube female!!! Still holding on before planting the Panama Garlic Haze for another female as well. Only like a week or so until solstice. They can’t hold out forever.

What if I send you a Maui Waui fem seed? Will you have enough time to plant it?

All 3 males were fem seeds!!! I have more seeds, just no more time. Outdoor seeds dont like to be planted in the month of June. I think because of the solstice. I could germ one, but the plant wouldn’t be as great as the others. It is what it is. I’ll try again next year. Whatever females show now, is what it will be. I appreciate the offer though.

I’ll be here to see how this one turns out.

Ok, I had a few I thought I could send you as they severed me well but I get it. I am sure whatever you grow will be amazing. Best of luck and again, amazing job you all did.
